    [staff_posts columns="2" items="2"]

^ That shortcode should work for you.

OK, got it about cover/contain. Makes sense. Wouldn’t want all that white space!
Dunno about the css, I copied and pasted from the forum post above, don’t see any difference on mobile. I’m sure I am doing something wrong. No big deal though. I need to rework/change the slider images anyway.
    Thanks

    Hey,
Using the home widget area in your theme options > home layout. You can add a visual editor widget which would allow you to in a sense have to sections or whatever kind of content.

If you cab post a link and explain what your wanting in terms of style we can help.

What prebuilt layout? The theme ones are for pages and not posts. Adding in shortcodes for posts inside of posts could cause this issue. Have you tried removing the widgets?

I had already made it private.

In your theme options > blog options > Blog Post Defaults > Blog Post Bottom Carousel Default. Select “display similar posts”.

    Hey,
You can use a shortcode in a text widget using your home widget area. That would allow you to set more then what you can in the theme options > home layout.

    here is the shortcode:

    [blog_posts orderby=date items="20"]

    Hey,
You can use a shortcode to output like the template but you can’t have pagination. Pagination is only going to work for one loop on the page and it has to be the main loop. (template)

so you can use this [kad_blog orderby=date items=4 fullpost=false] and that would output the latest 4 posts in the format like you have on the bottom. But no pagination.

    Hey,
I was able to assign a menu to the primary menu location without issue?

You only seem to have one menu made?

I also added the latest posts to your home page enabled section.

I’m confused as to why you would want those url to load on the blog grid? Are you thinking that a lot of people use this browser extension and your wanting to support that?

I personally don’t think adding loading time and adjusting html is worth it for a browser extension. But to do it you would either have to make your images load really large by overriding the template through a child theme or make your template load the url as a link for the image (adding confusion for users who want to click the image to see the post). with this option you are still going to have to override the templates through a child theme…

You can get a child theme here: https://www.kadencewp.com/child-themes/

    Hey,
You can use a shortcode like this: [portfolio_posts columns="4" items="12"]
Just paste it directly into a visual editor widget.
    Hope it helps!

Not quite sure what you mean by “use related posts…” Please clarify. And yes, I was able to figure out featured images on posts.

    Hi Hannah,

I would like the Exhibition title and date all in the same box at the bottom of the picture.
Just like the way portfolio posts are styled.

A lot of my images will be portraits, so the opacity block and title don’t work for me at the top of image
    Hope that makes sense.

    Best wishes,
    Paul

    On this page:

How do I get the section listed under Latest Blog Post to look like the section at the bottom? (The bottom section’s layout is provided as part of the Blog Template type, however I can’t seem to find any widgets or shortcodes that duplicate this functionality so that I can put my posts list with titles and partial body text for the post, along with stuff below the list. (And how do I duplicate the pagination features in the list I want formatted like the bottom?)

Any suggestions, CSS, code, etc. that you can provide would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Okay I’m hallucinating here. After I posted that about the parrot, all I did was to toggle the parrot’s ‘out of stock’ status. Suddenly (and also after updating jetpack) the parrot is now visible on the homepage.

I recently created a post using one of the page builder prebuilt layouts. When the post page loads, the post repeats infinitely. Do you have any suggestions as to how to address this problem? Here is the link to the post.

    Thank you in advance!

Hmm. I’m not sure what’s going on here. May have some caching going on but that would have had to sit there for days then.

Currently when I type http://3dn.nl I get redirected automatically to http://3dn.nl/home which seems like the right thing. I get to see my shoddy first slider and some of the home layout elements I had put there before. I don’t see the blog posts the way they should be visible according to the home layout setting which may be caused by the following:

When I go to http://3dn.nl/en/ or http://3dn.nl/nl/ I don’t see any of the blog links I should see on there.

I’m hoping that wasn’t caused by turning on/off polylang several times while experimenting.

    Hey,
The recent posts will pull from all categories. Use related posts if you would like to show only ones from the category of the post your viewing.

I see that the 4 post which have featured images set show there featured image in the carousel.
