Topic: Latest blog posts only showing one post

Hi Kadence Team,

I have an issue where only my most recent blog post (instead of my 2 most recent posts) is showing up in “Latest Blog Posts” on my home layout. You can see my issue here: *Login to see link

At first I could only see one blog post on my blog page but I ended up changing settings > reading > post page > Blog which fixed that, so I thought it would fix my latest post part too. But it didn’t do it. And once I create a new post, the newest post is on the home page but the second post stays the weird “Home” post. I have tried purging the cache but I haven’t had any luck. Please let me know if you any suggestions. Thank you in advance 🙂

My excerpt text in the Post carousel is silver/gray and since I changed my background to a darker color, the text nearly disappears. I’ve used the theme options to change all the typo settings ( or so I think I did) but can’t find one for this text.
The Blog Title shows up in white ( in the posts carousel), and all is well in every other layout of the blog pots….
Don’t know if there is a CSS fix for this or even one to just eliminate the excerpt text from the carousel and only show the post image and title???

Hi Hannah,
In case I wasn’t clear in my original post, the issue was after a customer registered, they couldn’t login. On Windows 10 browser it worked, not on Chrome, how weird. The login page would just keep reloading and not take the customer to their account. I am using the latest version of the theme 3.4.5 at bounciesfrombohemia.com.

I also contacted woothemes and they thought it was a caching issue and suggested I look at my ZenCache settings. I had deactivated that plugin and still had the problem. But I agree that somehow it was a caching issue. Since I needed to find a solution quickly, I went a different route by installing the ultimate member plugin and used that for customer login and woocommerce customer profile. Low and behold it works in all browsers and plays nice with the theme and woocommerce.

The original cause is still a mystery, but the site works now.

Dear support,

Is there a way to have the feature image of a post (that includes a sidebar) going fullwidth? I am using Virtue Premium.
It would be a big plus!!!

Topic: Post excerpt read more to expand instead of going to the actual post page?

Hi

I’ve been trying to make a way around where the read more tag on a post excerpt can expand, at the moment the read more tag is a link to an actual post. I was thinking of saving time but to show it as an expand like an accordion style. Is there any way to do this?

Solved, there was a problem with a plugin: View own posts and media library items only.
Just if anyone has the same problem, you can fix it manually.

Glad you discovered shortcodes!

1. Try adding this to your custom css box in Theme Options > Advanced Settings:
```
.postid-490 .contentclass {
    padding-top: 0;
}
```
2. Not entirely sure what you mean, but you can adjust the padding under the slider with this css:
```
.postid-490 .sliderclass {
    padding: 10px;
}
```
3.
```
.postid-490 .single-footer {
    display: none;
}
```

Hi Stephanie,
I don’t believe there is a limit in adding portfolio posts. I’m seeing all your featured images display fine. Have you tried clearing your cache?
If your server is timing out more than likely your php memory needs to be increased. Your host should be able to help you with this. Or see here- http://docs.woothemes.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/

no, I found the option who’s less important for me, than the main portfolio posts slider caroussel which have no settings in the theme options…(just like a default portfolio set up…)
Did you know the file we can modify to set the speed ?

Unfortunately no.
This is what I put in the post:

I replaced “YOUR-VIDEO-LINK” with the actual link. Is that right?

Hi there, I’m using Ultimate Member for role administration. I have issue with comments area on posts: subscribers role can’t see comments. The <section id=comments> doesn’t show up, even if the function have_comments() returns TRUE, so I think it wouldn’t be a permission’s problem (although Admin, Editor and Author roles can see comments). Comments approval is disabled.

Hi Eolica,
Do you mean the Portfolio Post Bottom Carousel? You can set the speed for this in Theme Options > Portfolio Options beside “Choose the carousel speed (in seconds).” Does this work for you?
