Topic: Sidebar and full width post
April 26, 2022 at 4:40 am #272835Hi! I have global content set to normal width and was wondering how to make a specific page use the sidebar layout but post content to full width. Or at least it doesn’t look so narrow (when there’s a sidebar I mean)
It´s posible?
Thank you
In forum: Kadence ThemeApril 8, 2022 at 4:33 pm #271978Hi,
That settting is designed to look for a widget (widget class). You would need to add the class widget to the last top level block in your custom sidebar and then it would work.

In forum: Kadence ThemeHi Hannah
Thanks for getting back to me.
I experienced this issue on one of my sites, so just to make sure that it was not one of my other plugins, I created a local test site using https://localwp.com/ software.
I only installed Kadence plugins and nothing else. WP version is the latest and php version is 7.35.
To recreate the issue, I did the following:
1) Created a page titled “Test Page”
2) Created an element to replace the sidebar on “Test Page”.
3) In Customize >> General >> Sidebar I toggled on Enable Stick Sidebar and Only Stick Last Widget.
4) When viewing my “Test Page” the last widget is not sticky.
5) When I view the “Sample Page” the last widget I set up for this page’s sidebar is sticky.
6) I created a Youtube video: https://youtu.be/8LbAk97TADsI hope this helps.
Regards

In forum: Kadence ThemeSo, you didn’t talk to the developer as you mentioned in your first reply?
I sometimes wonder why I continue paying for my Kadence package when this is the type of service that is offered. Maybe you would also like to respond to a post of mine that has gone unanswered after numerous requests for assistance. In forum: Kadence ThemeTopic: Problem with the widgets
Hello,
I use virtual for a site. I just downloaded the classic widget plugin so I can continue to use sidebar widgets with the new version of wordpress.
But when I make edits to text and images, they don’t show up. I cleared the cache of the plugin and that of the browser.
I also tried disabling the following plugins but no change:
– wp cerber
– wp 3 total cache
– all in one
– short pixel image optimizer
– XYZ WP Social Media Auto Publish.Do you have an idea of the problem ?

Hi, Erik!
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having this issue.
When I inspect the page, the sidebar content is empty – https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuvQZ45. Double-check in your theme options which sidebar you’re using by default. Then, go to Appearance > Widgets and see if that sidebar has content in it.
Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you further.

Hey there!
Kindly open a new topic for your next inquiries.
You can change the custom CSS code the Kevin gave above to this:
.single.sfwd-courses-template-default .sidebar { display: none; } .single.sfwd-courses-template-default .kt-sidebar { width: 100%; }This should be applied to the LearnDash course pages.
Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you further.

KarlaIn forum: Kadence ThemeMarch 20, 2022 at 4:46 am #271079Hi,
I would like to add a background image to my blog. The posts and sidebar should be white, but the space that is left should have an image. I’m now using css to achieve this.
But is there an easier way to add a background image to the Kadence theme?
I’m at http://www.huisvlijt.com

In forum: Kadence BlocksIn reply to: Possible to exclude heading from table of contents?
Hi Ben,
I didn’t realize the TOC block could be put in a sidebar. I’ll have to check that out.
Has there been any progress made on manually excluding headings from the Table of Contents Kadence block?
The link from the previous post actually looks pretty good: https://ultimategutenberg.com/docs/exclude-specific-headings-from-table-of-contents/
Thanks for your time and help!
In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Display sidebar below header image
Hi there
I would also love to be able to add a custom header image – like a feature image but with custom text on top via overlay.
This would sit beneath navigation, but above page content.
And then have the primary content and sidebar start below that. The advantage of using a sidebar (rather than your suggested make-shift column) is that it is easily replicable across other pages.
In Virtue theme this was relatively easy to accomplish.

Yep, WP Sticky Sidebar. It works out of the box. I hope it can help someone else until you fix it (if you also think it is an issue or, at least, a limit).
