    I have a single post for which I would like to hide the sidebar. Nothing in the Forums on this that I could find. I did find this code here and it worked, but the page is not full-width. Suggestions?

    .postid-39578 .kad-sidebar {
    display: none;}

    Thanks.

    Hello Chris,

    Thank you for reaching out to us and apologies for the delay in getting back to you!

    Kindly add this custom CSS code to achieve the look you’re after for the sidebar categories:

    .sidebar .widget_categories li {
        display: flex;
        flex-wrap: wrap;
        align-items: center;
    }
    .sidebar .widget_categories li .children {
        width: 100%;
    }
    .sidebar .widget_categories li a {
        padding-right: 1rem;
        margin-bottom: 0;
    }
    .sidebar .widget_categories .widget-inner .cat-item a:after {
        position: absolute;
        right: 0;
    }

    Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you further.

    Regards,
    Karla

    Hi John and Jaki,
    You can use this css:

    .primary-sidebar.widget-area .widget {
        border-bottom: 1px solid #999;
    }

    In the future please start a new thread as this one has already been marked as resolved.

    All the best,
    Hannah

    Hi Hannah, Clayton and Ben,

    Is there a way to update the CSS Code so that we can add a 1px line at the bottom of each section.

    Please see the enclosed screenshot.

    .primary-sidebar.widget-area .widget {
    background: #e9f0f0;
    padding: 10px;
    }

    Thanks very much for all your help once again.

    Hi,
    Thanks for reaching out! Can you link to a page that has a sidebar so I can see this?
    Your sidebar width should pull from your settings in Customize > General > Sidebar. Does this work for you?

    Kindly,
    Hannah

    Hi all,
    I am trying to make the width of the sidebar menu smaller. Currently, its width is greater that 50% of the width of the screen. I would like to make it smaller than that.

    I found in a thread of the forum this code :

    @media
    (min-width: 992px) {
    aside.col-lg-3.col-md-4.kad-sidebar {
    width: 10%;
    }
    .main.col-lg-9.col-md-8 {
    width: 10%;
    }
    }

    that is supposed to help. I put this code in Customize -> Additional CSS and changed the percentages to 10% but it didn’t work.

    Is this code helping with what I am trying to achieve ? Is Customize -> Additional CSS the right place to put it ?

    Ivory Search?
    I guess my solution would be to use a child them and make a new page template using your search.php and editing it to fit.
    Something I wanted to avoid and still do 🙂
    Anyways I came up with a work around using a custom sidebar for the search results page.
    Putting the widget(s) for both the standard search tool and below it the Plugins single category search tool.So now the sidebar has the 2 search options. 1.) “Entire site” & 2.) “Videos Only”
    The setting in Theme Options> misc. > search settings to have the newly created sidebar and not search tool/bar at the top of the search results page.
    This all worked….until this morning anyways. The setting is clearly set to “False” in regards to the top of the page search tool.
    but now it is showing again if there are no results???
    Images attached

    results-page set-false

    NEW NOTE: I may have mis-spoke. It looks like the search results page does NOT DISPLAY a search tool at the top of the page WHEN there are results!
    It only displays at the top of the page when there are NO RESULTS.
    Any way to change that?

    Hey,
    1. Just want to clarify, while others may have asked questions about this plugin I’m not familiar with it at all and don’t use it.

    2. Also just to clarify the Kadence Theme does not override any woocommerce templates. I find it very strange that the plugin author would suggest kadence is doing something to break the way woocommerce works.

    3. I logged in, I enabled woof, placed it in sidebar 2 and then on your shop page I told it to use sidebar 2. I then tested on the front end and things were working. I didn’t see any errors in the console? I looked in the settings and it appears turbo mode is enabled.

    I’m not sure what I’m missing. Can you send me a video of what you are seeing so I can better understand that problem you are having?

    Ben

    Hi guys! Let me just say how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Kadence Pro theme, Kadence Pro Blocks and all the starter templates. They ROCK! Thank you for all the amazing work you guys always do 🙂

    So, I’m building my new ecommerce website and have hit a little snag and was hoping you guys could help me figure this out. It’s with the integration between mailchimp, woocommerce and user account registrations. I’m also using a combination of the Yoga starter template and the Print Shop starter template.

    On the front page there’s a sign up area, I used a mailchimp third-party plugin for that and it works fine. I also have the woocommerce mailchimp plugin added and I believe that works fine as well.

    However, I’m trying to set it up so that when a customer signs up for a new account, they will automatically be added to my mailchimp list if the checkbox to join the list is checked.

    Right now my workflow is when the customer clicks on “Login or Register”, they are re-directed to the my-account page where they can either sign in to an existing account or register for a new one. If they log in they go to the dashboard and see their orders and downloads. If they are registering it creates a new user account. I like the way the my-account page is set up currently where there is the sidebar with the downloads and order history, etc. , so I’m hesitant to just create a landing page from mailchimp. But I want the automation of when they register for their account they land in my mailchimp list instantly.

    Don’t know the best way to set this up. Can you advise?

    I’m sorry if my request is long and overly complicated and confusing, lol. Any advise you can offer is really appreciate. Thank you!!!

    Hello Hannah:)

    Any news about Woof woocommerce filter plugin? I now have the yith filter plugin enabled because I have to publish the site by the end of the week. Unfortunately the yith plugin has very limited options and ultimately I would like to use woof. Woof is assigned to sidebar2 if you would like to test the issue I wrote about in a previous post.

    Kind Regards,
    Inga

    Hi alla, hope you’ve found what you’re looking for. If not, check under the sidebar menu “Appearance” in the WordPress admin area. There you should see Kadence as one of the menu items. Click on that to display the settings for your Kadence theme. Maybe this isn’t what you’re looking for, but I think it’s what you’re asking about. Cheers!

    I deactivated the “Kadence Blocks – Gutenberg Blocks for Page Builder Features”, and the editor sidebar and the top sidebar reappeared, so I’m sure is the Kadence Blocks update which is causing this bug in Google chrome.

    Hey MT,
    Sorry for the delay! Do you have a sidebar layout enabled from Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog > Archive Layout? You can override this for your custom shop page from your shop edit page under Page Options. Let me know if you need further guidance with this!

    Kindly,
    Hannah

    Hi

    I am using a products filter in the Woocommece sidebar for my shop and on a laptop, the filters display on the left as expected but it displays at the bottom of the page on a mobile.

    Looking through the forums, it seems this is expected but you can use css to change the position? Would you be able to help me move this sidebar to the top of the page on a mobile please?

    Thanks
    Dom

    Hi Hannah,

    That image (https://www.memorialsighet.ro/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/turmemorialsighet.roro-300.png) I will let it where it is now, and I will place it again in the top of the content (above ”Fondatori Ana Blandiana şi Romulus Rusan” on front page, for ex.) on several pages including front page. It is that duplicate that I need to hide from desktop. The idea is that on mobile devices the duplicated image to display first. As it is now on sidebar, you have to scroll a lot until you see it.

    Best regards,

    Nicolae

    Hey Nicolae,
    Is it the image at the top of your sidebar that you’re wanting to hide on desktop? If so, you can use this css:

    @media (min-width: 992px) {
    .home .sidebar .widget-first {
        display: none;
    }
    }

    Hope it helps!

    Best,
    Hannah

    Hey,

    I’ve searched through the forum for any post same to this exact issue.

    The closest is:

    But there the archive is already defined in the settings. In my case the archive sidebar is turned off because of the custom shop page as I do not want a sidebar on the shop page, but on the woo archives I would like to activate the sidebar.

    Any option here?

    Hey Nicolae,
    Thanks for reaching out!
    Yes, your solution is the simplest way to achieve this. You can use CSS and media queries to hide your sidebar on mobile and show the image, then visa versa for desktop.
    You can use this css to hide the sidebar from mobile view: @media (max-width: 768px) { .sidebar { display: none; } }
    Once you add your image to the content I can help with CSS to hide it on desktop.

    Kindly,
    Hannah
