    Dear All

    Whenever I try to make a change in the Theme Options, I get a message that “There was a problem with your action. Please try again or reload the page.”

    Whereas I am able to upload pages and products on my website.

    This message is persistent and I kindly need your urgent help on the same.

    Hoping to hear very soon.

    Regards! :/

    Is there an easy way (via settings) to choose the pace where you want to see the primary menu.
    I”d like to have it between the header and the page content.

    Hi Ben!
    I’m doing a lot more with Pagebuilder.

    What I find is that I want to be able to control the css for colors and rows and widgets across the site, not always individually.
    You showed me before the css for a particular widget or row with a number,

    How can I say like All pagebuilder rows have a background of color:xxxxxx
    Or all virtue image widgets have a margin of xxxxx

    like how can I globally select the stuff so I don’t have to keep reinputting it.

    ?

    HI Ben and Hannah
    wow, I’m getting good at this stuff.

    THE ERROR MESSAGE I WAS GETTING THAT I OPENED A TOPIC ABOUT…..GUESS where it was!!

    My boss had a really inept webmaster who had us with Wpengine which was EXPENSIVE and not really for professionals, AND they had limited telephone support hours.

    I moved us to good Old Hostgator, and it’s much cheaper, better and I’ve used them for years.
    Saved us 1000 a year AND I can call them in the wee hours of the morning.
    ———————————————————–
    SO THE CODE WAS SHOWING BECAUSE WPENGINE puts this extra code in your wp-config file!!!

    They had the WPENGINE DEBUG Set to TRUE!!!
    ———————————————————–
    Leftover junk.

    Site is working fine, but the DEBUG messages were showing up because of that stupid leftover setting in the wpconfig.
    Junk Junk Junk….

    God bless Hostgator.

    Sorry Ben – my bad, this was the first site I did with Virtue, and forgot I hadn’t upgraded it to Premium version. So used to coming in here for support for my other sites! Actually just in the process of redoing this website in Pinnacle Premium, so fixing this is just temporary til I get that ready to publish.

    I have deactivated the plugins and this is not the issue.

    It has something to do with the Woocommerce product shortcodes – but I will move this to the forum for the free theme.

    Thanks

    Hi Ben,
    I was doing updates and changes to a client’s site that hadn’t been maintained for a long time. After getting rid of all the bugs and doing all the updates, I was changing and fixing pages and all was OK. I was just about to do a backup and I lost connection with the host’s server. I thought their server was down, I put in a support ticket. 8 hours later they came back and told me it was a plugin conflict – I was getting the white screen of …. I managed to get back into the dashboard and eliminated all plugins one at a time, etc. and determined it was the page builder causing the issue. Any ideas why it would just all of a sudden be doing this, I had been working on the site for at least 4 hours and all was fine. I went and changed all the pages that were using it and I am afraid to turn it back on. I don’t really need to use it on this site but I would like to know if there are any issues that I should watch out for.

    Thanks,
    Gayle

    Hey,
    I can only see that the site is in maintenance. Can you turn that off or send a temp login.

    Have you made sure to clear your cache?

    Hey,

    You create pages first. Then add them to menus. So sounds like you may be doing this backwards.

    When you create the page first then you can go to apperance > menus and add that page into your menu.

    For things like categories you can add those as you make them. So in posts > categories you can make a category then in apperance > menus you can add that category to the menu.

    I tried to login to your site with the user you gave but since it wasn’t a admin user I could only see the front end. I did see that you have a page for recipes and that you’ve got one post showing on that page.

    In order to get the hero video I want on desktop to also work on mobiles I had to create two separate sliders. This works fine until I activate w3 cache. With it activated it only will call up the desktop slide. Sometimes it is the opposite and the mobile slider works on mobile but then it puts the mobile slider on the desktop which looks bad.

    All minification is currently disabled until I can work out how to keep both sliders working as they should. Would you know which setting is likely to mess with which slide gets called up on mobile/desktop?

    Update: it was the page cache option. is there a way I can turn this back on but not cache the slider?

    Hey Cara,
    This is not something to worry about. It will be fixed with the next update, but for now you should see no negative affects on your site.

    Hey,
    1. rather then adding the left padding make that 0 and instead add this css:

    @media (min-width: 992px){
        .headerclass > .container {
            max-width: 1080px;
        }
        .kad-header-left {
            padding-right: 0;
        }
        .kad-header-right {
            padding-left: 0;
        }
    }

    2. The screen shots you posted don’t seem to lead me to any image but I am guessing your are referring to the gray lines through your site caused by your background image. Which has gray lines at the edges: http://mofotechplay.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/bg.jpg

    Just download and fix the edges then reupload.

    I did a theme and woocommerce update and received this message:

    Your theme (Virtue – Premium Child) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. You can see which files are affected from the system status page. If in doubt, check with the author of the theme.

    Any thoughts? Do you need my site info?

    Thanks

    Judging by the console errors that are showing up on your page, it seems that your problem has to be with your domain. I found this thread which explains it well.

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/icons-dont-show-up-on-virtue-free-version?replies=5

    Check in Settings> General to make sure the URLs for “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” match up. If that doesn’t solve your problem, it appears that this is something you’ll have to contact your host to fix.

    Check those settings first and let me know what you find.

    Hey,
    I’m looking at your site not seeing the image? Can you link directly to the images your talking about?

    I’ve testing on iphone 5 and iphone6 and I always see the topbar with menu.

    Hi Hannah,

    unfortunately for me. It’s not that.
    if you go theme > main settings >

    scroll down to logo options,

    as I do not have a logo at this point in time, i configure the “sitename logo font”.

    So that My site have at least a text logo.

    So right now I want this text logo not to scroll away.

    I enabl the sticky header but it still scroll away.

    What should be done here ?

    Thanks.

    Hi Ben,

    I applied the CSS rule you sent me and it solved the biggest problem of making the menu readable in my websites where the changing of slide colour made it unreadable.
    See at http://www.wocmultimedia.biz/en/

    So I reverted to full width and full height the slider to simplify the work. Anyhow, it’s clear how background works.

    Thanks

    Hello! I just tested the shortcode on my test site and it seems to be working fine there. One place that I would check if you haven’t already would be your “Post Summary” setting under “Standard Post Options” in the post edit screen.

    You’ll want it to be set to an image so your featured image will show up in the post on your home page.

    Let me know if this helps!

    #99480

    Hello! This is something you need not worry about. It will be fixed with the next update and has no adverse effects on your site’s functionality.

    Until the update, you can just ignore that notification.

    Hello!
    After updating the current WooCommerce update our “Shop Category Images” disappeared. I can replace them, however I am confused. I thought that if we had a child theme… which we do that plugin updates would not change the child theme / website. I think that my client would freak out when this happens to them. Is this normal? Or perhaps something that I did? Something we can avoid?

    Thanks for your time and feedback.
    Good day,
    Debi
