2. Yes this is normal. I’ve done tons to sites with duplicator. You have to sign in to save permalinks.

If you know the password all you have to do is go to settings > permalinks. And save your permalinks.

3. I am only talking about your site that has the error. Once you create the duplicator there is no further connected. You have a whole new site not on the server.

If you would like I would be happy to login and assign the menu to the menu location for you. Just post the login using Set as private reply.

I don’t understand how you can’t login. You don’t need to save permalinks to login the wordpress admin is not something that permalinks effects. You should just login and save.

4. I bet I have moved over 100 sites with duplicator all sites using virtue or pinnacle. I’m still confused based on all your say as to where the issue is? wp-login.php is a file where you login your permalinks shouldn’t affect it.

You’re not using caching locally are you?

Which plugin are you using to add braintree? What problem is with the theme specifically. Have you tried activating another theme?

We use braintree on this site, using this plugin: https://www.woothemes.com/products/braintree/

It works great. The theme has no issue with payment gateways.

I know the link. I saw the link.

I guess I’m not explaining well.. Your site doesn’t look like that link. Not because the slider isn’t overlapping but because you haven’t set up the content and the padding around your content and all that is done inside pagebuilder and it’s options.

so here is the code but this code is just to do what you asked in making the slider overflow, it won’t make your site look like that link.

Hi Ben,

Perhaps you’ve misunderstood my problem.

1. I know the password to the site.
2. At the end of the (Duplicator Pro) “Run Deployment” a screen (step 3 Test Site) appears with 4 menu items, one of which is “save Permalinks”. Normally when save Permalinks is selected, another screen appears asking you to SAVE PERMALINKS. What’s happening in my case: a SIGN IN SCREEN appears instead. So I’m not getting a save Permalinks screen but a sign in screen. I’ve watched two different YouTube videos on the process and the normal sequence is to select “save Permalinks” and a Permalinks screen appears.

3. As to the the appearance>menus suggestion, I’ve always had a menu there.( I’m not sure what you mean — the appearance>menu is set up in the beginning of site creation process.) Are suggesting that I should save this menu again? Are referring to the local site? If you’re referring to the uploaded site, I have no access to the dashboard — I am not able to go beyond the first page.The Permalinks, obviously, have not installed.

Forgive my next question and I am not being snide. Have you used Virtue Premium in conjunction with Duplicator Pro? Based upon what I am experiencing it seems as if there is a programming glitch. My local site runs just fine. It seems the local to server conversion is where the problem is.

Hi Ben,

Thanks looking into it:

1. Do you know a perhaps better pre-order plugin who does not use a div tag the way it is currently used? Can’t remember I saw that size/design issue with other ecommerce sites.

2. Yes, I’m referring to the button on the shop (which is the same as on best sale). Just instead of grey say with an orange. But only in the pre-order case! All other buttons should remain grey/blue as they are. (As per pre-order hoover effect, not sure which color looks best on it? White on orange?)

Is that possible to do?

It’s over 10mb. That is huge for web so it’s very possible that your windows mobile browser crashes trying to load that because it’s too large.

Lee, I found your issue. Has to do with image size and srcset. Your images not using the src because srcset was set.

I’ve updated your site and with each theme update there will be a check for this.

Hey,
1. You need your login (same one that you use for your local site). If you don’t know it because it autofills then you need to find out what is being auto filled or you will need to reset your password for your local then redo the whole duplicator process when you know how to login to your site.

There is no way for me to help you remember watt your username and password is for your local site.

2. In terms of the error. That only means you you just need to go to apperance> menus and save a menu. That’s it. Assign one and you will be set and the error won’t be there. Of course you will need to remember your login to get into the admin.

I didn’t changed anything for about two months on my website. Everything worked fine back then.
Before I’ve tried to edit my slider I’ve updated to the newest version of wordpress and revolution slider. Maybe this is causing the problem….

It’s not set up that way.

You can add a testimonial forum to your site using the shortcode (just click “virtue shortcodes” in a page).

but that would allow anyone to make a post and all posts regardless of user would have be approved.

Hey, if you set Home to be your Static Front Page in Settings> Reading, then in Theme Options> Home Layout> Home Layout Manager, be sure that you have page content enabled. If you don’t enable it there, then it wont show up.

Check your settings there and let me know if that helps. Also, a link to your site is always helpful if possible.

This is the first I’ve heard of any automatic compression of images involving this theme. So I would venture to say that this isn’t anything you need to be worrying about. If it is compressing as that blog says, it’s such an insignificant amount that no one should notice.

I’ve been using this website to compress images for a site that I’m working on. It saves a lot of space and I don’t notice any drop in image quality.

Will there be some solution to my post soon? Could the problem be linked to how many sites can use Virtue Premium? If I’m not mistaken I think it is limited to one. Could this be a cause for the problem?
