You would need to ask woocommerce if they have a Swedish translation doesn’t sound like they do in which case you would need to translate.

If they are completely different why a multisite?

Yes you can’t update if you want to use pretty permalinks. I’ve tested the latest…

The issue started with version 2.1.0 https://github.com/siteorigin/siteorigin-panels/releases/tag/2.1

They “Added sidebar emulation, which makes a Page Builder page appear to be a sidebar.”

That emulator uses a function: url_to_postid();

Which doesn’t really work with polylang because of how polylang builds the url for the translated post.

Hey Ben, how do I add the swedish files? Usually when you set up Woocommerce you don’t have to do anything, it automatically adds the files based on the settings you have in WordPress. Do I need to translate it all myself from the pot-file?

How can it be multilingual if the sites are all completetly independent from one another, different products, different domains, different currency, different shipping/payment etc?

Hi Kevin,

When I activate Polylang, most of my site disappears except for a header, my logo and a search page. When I deactivate it, my page re appears. Is there any preparation I need to do to have it work with Virtue?

Ok, I got in. Everything is massively outdated on the site. wordpress version was over a year old: 3.9.11 that was released in may 2014.

I was able to update just wordpress. But You can’t do a lot of things (like update plugins and themes) because the permissions on your site are not set up correctly. I can’t fix that for you. Has to be done on the server side. You need to contact your host, tell theme you can’t remove plugins or update because you wordpress user doesn’t seem to have php permissions.

They will need to check file ownership and permission settings.

You will need to manually update the theme at this point, see here: https://www.kadencewp.com/manually-updating-a-theme/

But to do that you need to fix the permissions issues.

Hi Ben, I’ve now added you as an admin Ben– no, I have not tried any other themes–I have a website and also a blog both using Kadence virtue theme–the theme only started doing this 2-3 months ago. The media upload glitch is prevalent on both sites. I would love to delete a bunch of widgets to see if that helps but the theme will not allow me to deactivate or delete any widgets. And as I stated in the letter, the site also freezes me out if I update anything–I am frozen form the site the minute up press update or save and I have to enter my WordPress site all over again.

My media upload on both my Virtue Kadence sites refuse to upload images and states error after each and every photo upload. However, if I close the media, save the post and then go back into media, the picture appears. Hey,
The category filter only filters what is on the page. It doesn’t work like a menu and can’t re-query your site for all the products in a certain category.

So for a multipage shop you can’t use the filter because it’s not designed for that. You would need to use a menu that linked to the category pages.

did you clear your caching after updating?

Did this crash your admin or just the front end?

Did you see any error? Have you checked your error logs?
