Hi Ben , this is for a quick fix on topbar menu of the site http://www.archimedea.it
I’ve just added in the topbar menu the following code to enable click-to-call from mobile devices: Chiama ora! 346 7801797
It works fine but the menu Item containing that code is slightly vertically misaligned with the other topbar menu items
How to realign it ?

So there is the link target issue, but I just noticed that this site, while everything is responsive enough for my liking, has a large white content space to the right side when viewed on an ipad or smaller device. Any thoughts on this?

Hi Hannah.

Not trying to be argumentative, but extracting the Theme files and uploading them to overwrite existing Theme files could hardly be described as more difficult than the procedure detailed in the Tutorial.
But that aside, the Virtue Premium Theme has been updating fine up until recently, and if it was still doing that, a manual update would not even be required.
So that is the main complaint.
The version of the Theme on the website is v3.3.9, and the latest version is v3.4.7
Is there a reason why the automatic updates have stopped?

I see that someone else posted about something like this, but I don’t see a reply with a fix. When a customer purchases a course, and then goes to their “My Courses” page, and then clicks on their course, the resulting page includes the site header and footer and no content in between. I don’t believe this was happening with the previous version of Sensei. Is there a theme conflict?

Hi Floren,
I am seeing several 404 errors on your site. I would start by deactivating your plugins one by one to test if any are conflicting. Let me know if there’s no change.

I have a text widget on the main sidebar to the right which also has my email listed. I have tried to make my email work as a link so that people can click on it and an email screen pops up (or even a “contact me” button with no email), but have not been able to make it work. I inserted a “contact me” plug-in form in the widget, but it showed the entire form in the sidebar which looked awful and was a no go. Someone else told me to use a “hide any widget” plug-in but it did exactly that and hide the whole widget so that all the text was gone too.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks for your reply. I don’t really follow. What would I need to do first? And would the “mini blog” post be on the same page as the main blog post? I was thinking of just doing it underneath but would also like for it to have a separate area that could explain what it is.

For example, the post that I have on my site now is about wine in an area of Italy. I am interested in putting a mini blog about a specific restaurant that I liked in that region. I want to have this mini blog to have an “umbrella” title of “Forks in the Road”, followed by the actual title of the mini blog. This would hint at food rather than wine. However, it would also be good to have an area in a sidebar – preferably on the right of my page – which explains what “Forks in the Road” means (with maybe even a small picture) and which lists the title of these posts – a bit like “Recent posts” or “Archives”. A reader could click on the links and go to that specific blog post.

Is that possible? Is that what your suggestion above could do?

I have the free version of the virtue theme. I just upgraded to the pro version but changing to it caused problems. First of all it only worked by deactivating the plugins but after reactivating all I could see was a blank white page. So now I tried to go back to the free version and also already deleted some of my plugins via webspace explorer.

But still I can do nothing I can only see white pages in the dashboard and now also my website looks weird. Please help!!!

Hi Hannah,

I am not sure if there is any issue with my hosting company or other plugins, because:
1) I can install, activate, update, deactivate and delete other plugins.
2) I have also sitestyle04 demo installed. I get on that site the same message and click on update now and not happens there either.

My current WordPress version is : 4.4.2.

When click on view plugin details, I see the following:
Version: 2.10.3
Author: Nico Amarilla
Last Updated: 4 months ago
Requires WordPress Version: 3.5 or higher
Compatible up to: 4.3.1

I also see the following:
Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.

So, I guess there is an issue with this slider.

This is the first time I am experiencing this.
