I was afraid this would be the case. There’s so many things on their old site that was purchased by the web designer, in his own name, and he refuses to part with any of the information. I had to purchase a whole new SSL yesterday, too.

Although i have to ask, what this an intentional design choice?
I most likely missed something in the tutorials, but i can’t recall any instructions stating we should only use widgets in the appearance > widgets page, and not the customizer. I worked exclusively out of the customizer to design my site, so it seems counterintuitive to have to go to another page to simply add gallery pictures, a place where i can’t see the actual page the pictures are placed in.
Might i suggest in the next update to provide functionality for those widget buttons? Or just remove the button entirely from the widget when in the customizer if they’re not meant to work? It’s current state seems like a malfunction, and it should be addressed to prevent confusion for other folks.
The css you provided worked swimmingly.
Only question i have pertaining to this: any code i add to change the orientation of the photo? like “show top-center” or something, similar to the header images?
I want to keep the photos at a small height, but only show a particular part of it. It’s ok if not possible.Either way, many thanks for your help so far! Your support have made this process far more smoother than it had any right to be. I’ll make sure to send you guys a donation for your efforts

Tomasz, can you post a link and temp login to your site? I’m not having any trouble selecting an option the font in the theme options page.
Christina, are you planning to make this site live soon? Without seeing the site or code it’s hard to know what the issue would be. If you haven’t tried yet I suggest deactivating plugins as a test.

Hi Hannah & Ben,
I’m hoping for a bit of assistance regarding the shortcodes. I don’t have a site to link to as it’s internal only, but my issue is this: in the theme options under Theme Extensions, I have disabled/turned off Testimonial Posts. It has a subtitle that states “Turn Off/On all Testimonial references and code” but when adding a shortcode to a post/page, I notice that Testimonial Form is still an option.
As I’m not using this feature, it is confusing to our users (currently over 100 users, with more being added so simply educating them to not select the option is really not an option). How do I remove this option? I was able to remove the function so now it only shows the shortcode and not the form on the page (which is still confusing to our users). If it can’t be removed, how do I remove the premium shortcodes altogether and use the toolkit instead?
Also, just as an fyi, feedback from the users are that they liked the toolkit icons better than the pop-up, then select the option, etc. Many have asked us to downgrade the theme just to get the icons back. Although, they all love the new theme options in the premium version. 🙂

I think I have similar problem and it seems more complicated as well. I see that I can change fonts only in the Menu Customization but NOT in the Menu Theme Options – Typography. At the first place I thought that there was an issue with the demo content that I used to build the site. But… I checked it on another site – there were no problem until update Virtue Premium to version 3.4.0. It is difficult to say when the issue appeared because I updated it from ver. 3.0.6. I think there is a bug to fix but I am not sure.Tomasz

I’m having a problem with the Responsive effect of the Pinnacle theme for parallax background images when viewing on the Ipad Pro: the resizing is confused with what the width dimensions should be and appears super-zoomed in. The problem is consistent on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Dolphin for my website, so I’m thinking that the resolution of the Ipad Pro is not recognized or something to that effect. Maybe the theme thinks the Ipad Pro is a laptop?

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Revolution Slider mute audio
I created a video with music to run as a background on my slider. Is there a way to mute the music when someone begins to scroll, hovers with a mouse, or clicks? Ideally, I’d prefer the first option. I fiddled around the the “actions” setting on the revolution slider, putting it on “mouse enter” and “click” combined with “mute video” and “toggle mute video,” but can’t get it to work.
Because the site is live and I don’t want the music to play endlessly while waiting for a response, I changed the slider back to mute.

You’re absolutely right. I cloned the pages as portfolio posts and then assigned them types, and that does work much better.
So, while we’re at it, I have one last (or last for now) question: do you have any ideas on how I could put a free floating dropdown menu of the portfolio post types on the homepage of the site?

There shouldn’t be any index.html file in your main site folder. And the index.php file that should be in your main site folder should have this:

Hi Ben,
Our websites were hacked yesterday and it showed some other information on the main website url.
On further checking, it was seen that the index.php files and index.html files were all infected with the malware, but nothing else was touched.
We have removed all the malware from all those files at present…. but the site still does not show up …
On the wordpress backend all the data is as it was before, nothing has changed.
Could you please tell me what code do I have to insert in the index.php file and the index.html file?
At present in the index.php file I have inserted what I found in the backups, but it still is not visible on the website domain `<?php

While you’re poking around in there, i have 2 other questions regarding images that I’m confident you can shed a light on for me
1)
As you’ll see from my site, i renamed the “portfolio” permalink to “projects” and set up two different types of projects, “music” and “photography” in order to categorize the portfolios and set this page to see “All” the portfolios
I then created two different child pages named “music” and “photography” accordingly, with each page setup to only show portfolios from that specific type, and made them both children to the “portfolio” page.
I did this in order to be able to order to organize portfolios by specific type while still under my renamed “projects” page. However, you would have to be redirected to a new child link to see the specific type, which is a bit clunky IMO
However, on one of the Kadence demo sites i saw, it set up so that there were buttons on the main portfolio page, seemingly designated to each portfolio type. Clicking a button would then show only the portfolios of that type, making the others disappear without leaving the main “portfolio” page.
Can you tell me how to this for my theme, if it is possible? I prefer that setup as it allows one to organize the portfolios without leaving the page, which is much more seamless than my setup.
2)
Is there a way to specify the exact position a image inside a gallery will show up within a page layout?
For example, if i have gallery of just 2 images and insert them into a page with a paragraph, can i set up the gallery so that one image appears at the top of the paragraph and the bottom, yet clicking each image will still display all the images in a lightbox carousel format?
I have a a few paragraphs on a page that i want to break up with images, but not sure how to make the lightbox appear when i do this
I hope my questions make sense. Thank you for all your help so far, it’s much appreciated.

Hey,
I know you haven’t added a logo. I am kindly suggesting that I think you should and I think that would be your best option. You don’t have to have a transparent header so when you add a logo you don’t have to have it sit over the page title.
In your theme options > site header. There I suggest you turn of the “transparent” header option.
In terms of the height set by the header just because you haven’t added a logo doesn’t mean that the height is not set and will not have an effect. In your theme options > site header. You will see a “Header Height” option. I recommend that you set that to 80. (then when you add your logo it will fit into it nicely).
The page title can be removed on a page by page basis. On the page you linked it there is no page title. But your header is still there and still set to 300 from your theme options > site header settings.
