Hi!
I’ve made my header transparent and I’m using revolution slider particularly as a background for that.
Here is my test site: *Login to see link o/
To make it I couldn’t find any easier solution as to set margin-top -140px in rev.slider settings. It would be okay, but I use mobile menu as a button and it looks really bad in mobile version and it needs a lot of extra css rules to manage everything which I don’t think is proper way.
To make mobile menu button on its propper place I set a rule in Custom CSS Box:
#mobile-nav-trigger {
margin-top: -130px;
z-index: 999;}

Is any chance to make transparent header over the slider (any other content) by other, more clean way? For to further easy possibility to make mobile button menu without any mess?

Where are you adding the slider? Have you set the Slide Layout to Full Width in the Revolution Slider Settings? Can you post a link to your site?

Thanks for the quick support, Ben. The site is Williamkemsley.com. I can adjust the type style, but not its size on the Theme Options/Typography page. Take a look. I’d like to reduce the size to about 32 px so that it has the lighter background in the image.

I am modifying a Virtue Premium site, and I cannot figure out how to change the way the portfolio items display.

The page is currently 4-column and I would like to change it to 6-column. I changed the setting under Portfolio Page Options on the page, and under Theme Options > Portfolio Category Pages but so far there is no change.

Can you tell me where I should change the setting?

Is there something showing in your error logs?

Updates are reverse your site called wp-updates.com and asks for an update. nothing would be calling your site about it.

I am trying to put content on my homepage, but nothing is really working well… already have seen the tutorials, but I can not find my way doing it right…

Got a few problems:

1. How can I make the content on the homepage filling up the whole width of the screen. For example, if I set the portfolio carousel options in thheme options-> home layout, to use full width layout… all the images jump to the right instead of filling the whole width of the screen.

2. How can I add the pages like ‘Over mij’ and ‘de mogelijkheden’ to my home layout? I tried it with theme options -> home layout and then enabling page content, but that doesn’t work.

3. Also the widgets on the home layout area are not filling the whole width of the screen.

Hope you can help me!

Thanks, Hannah. It worked perfectly. Now I need to know how to change the size of the site headline. Mine has become humungous. And I can’t find the option to reduce or change the typeface. I’ve gone to Theme Options Page Title and to Theme Options Typography with no results.

Thanks for your help, realised after last message that that is probably what you meant. Anyways, all fixed now! Hooray! It was the same problem for the icon images.

Completely broke the animated revolution slider I made for the home page though, and it won’t import properly to let me try again. humph. I’ll fix that another day! Can’t believe the new version doesn’t have the replace source function. I think I’m going to have to do the whole thing again. Anyway, thanks for all your help, I am happy to have the site up and running and looking almost exactly as I’d hoped (I don’t sound it but I am happy really!)

ok, so I went into the site and set the grid height at 300px. Now the slider is 300px tall. I guess I’m missing what your wanting, can you explain further?

How can I add a product description/excerpt to products in the product archive grid?
I’d like to add short excerpts (30-50 characters) of the existing short description on my products.

This is my website: geekbite.com

And I’d like the products to have short descriptions under them, similar to the listings at: theawesomer.com

Any help would be much appreciated!

Ahhhh ha! It’s not that the images aren’t on the live site, it’s that the pages are looking for them on local host. Which is really annoying. But not dire. I just have to go through every page where the header isn’t working and tell it where to look. phew. I think it might be the same problem for all the missing icon images too.

Thanks Hannah, I think this may be the end of it. I’m going to go fix things and come back and let you know in a bit.

Also, thanks for that bit of code yesterday, seems to do the trick. Does it work the other way, with @media (max-width: 992px;) ? Just so I know.
