Hi

A quick update.. I tried the HTML code in http://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_intro to see if the out put is correct. I see the output to be exactly what is expected. The same output does not come when I use the text widget in the side bar 🙁

Hi Stephen,
Is this the only thing that isn’t saving correctly? You have a 403 error on your site which could be linked to the captions not showing. Try contacting your host and see if they have any insight.

Hi there,

go to the bottom of the page

need some words to change color on hover, without having a link, so i try to give them a class like this:

<span>This is a <span class='yellow'>Text</span> about Color.</span> …in Visual editor text mode…

and style with this CSS:

.yellow:hover {
color:yellow;
}

this works fine on test sites like jsfiddle.net or similar code-testing-sites, but fails here. Is this because of the Visual editor ?

Hi Ben

Yep, all works great now – all the WC pages have my WC sidebar and all my more general pages have the standard sidebar.

And all changes done in the Child theme without major coding changes so easy enough to keep an eye on any pages you update in the future.

So a bit trial and error but with your heads up I learnt a bit more on how your theme is constructed.

So thanks for your perpetual help and I think the site can go live now (at long long last!)

Hey Mike,
Glad the first issues are resolved! As for the white line, when I view your site in Chrome I can see the top line is gone and the slider is actually over the header because you’re using -10px. But in firefox I see no change. Try removing this:

.topclass {
    margin-bottom: -10px;
}

And adding this:
.kad-header-widget .kad-slider-wrapper {
margin-top: -1px;
}
Does that fix?

I checked the site on different devices and now the pages are loading fine and also on my Iphone I see more crisp photos.But still remain my question about the home page, which is above 2mb (3.1m).

Hi there,
I have a question about the revolution slider for ipad.
I have a video playing for the desktop site and a picture for mobile. But in the ipad, nothing shows and there is a blank space where the slider is supposed to go. what can I do to just have a picture display? I tried to insert a picture as well to show on ipad and everything ended up being squished up on the ipad and when the website is loading on desktop, the picture was showing before the video started to play, so I got rid of it. I also tried enabling the video for the ipad and the site just kept crashing without anything displaying… please help!! Thank you.

Try increasing your logo spacing in Theme Options > Main Settings. If you would still like more space can you provide a link to your site?

Ah, herein lies the problem methinks.

Whether I’m logged in or out, there is no sidebar on this site – so none to remove or replace.

And are we talking about the WooCommerce ‘My Account’ page? The one it autocreates and adds its shortcode to?

Hi Hannah,
Just the text on the buttons on one page. Is that possible?

the page is: Artists
I didn’t want the header on this page, but I did want a nav bar, so I created a row of buttons to imitate the nav bar. Now I would like the font to resemble the nav bar.
There probably was a better way to do it, but this is what I’ve got, and the site is live now.

Hmmm ….. I have redone all the settings again. So when you see it you will not see what exactly happened. But all the settings had changed absolutely. The blog page was showing as the home page. The fonts all changed. The colours ….everything, that I had tweaked.

I think with the last two codes, the topbar menu got activated and that changed the entire layout and all the settings. Could you please have a look at them again. I’m a bit scared to put them and try out again…. as the whole website layout collapsed in front of my eyes.

Nevetheless, when I had put in the code; I did see that the background colour of the tabs/boxes of the drop down cart from the main menu … had changed to a light grey….. But the ‘PAYPAL EXPRESS CHECKOUT” TEXT was not visible, I’m guessing because its white in colour.

Could you please help?

Icons are smaller than before and circles misplaced to the right. Setting icons size bigger does not help since they are misplaced to the left.

I suspect the latest theme update to be the cause.

The “Author Archive” page on my Virtue-driven site is pretty basic: all it includes is the author’s name and a simple text list of articles by that author. I’d like to switch it up so that it shows essentially a grid of that author’s posts, including a featured image, post excerpt and so on. You all do it on the Kadence site–see *Login to see link I’m wondering how I might do it on mine. Any help very much appreciated.
