Good morning,

I am trying to integrate my WordPress website with spreadshirt.com. Spreadshirt offers javascript that interfaces with their website. It works really well except for the check out “pop up window” which is slightly cut off when I am using the standard theme settings. I’ve copied a screenshot below.

the issue appears after adding the item to the shopping cart, and then clicking on the shopping cart; the button for buying is almost completely cut off. I looked at the unminimized javascript interface from spreadshirt, but it is a little complicated for me and I was hoping if you could recommend a CSS work-around for me so that the popup window always fully fits in the page.

Hi guys

I am having a problem with my editors on site on page building tools I have used text box, visual editor and site origin text editor but whatever one I use it does not save the content, I can add other widgets like a calendar and it saves no problem on the page puzzled any help appreciated thanks Scott.

Hey,
Thats not a conflict. Godady is just not backing up every hour. You need to see how often they run a backup. I personally suggest using backup buddy and manually backing up my site if I think there is a chance I would need to restore.

By the way if you do something wrong in a file that crashes the site you should be able to easily undo without having to restore? Restoring a site would be the last thing I would do and only if I couldn’t figure out how to fix what I had changed but with ftp you should just update whatever file you edited?

We can not back-up our changes on GoDaddy! It seems as if it is stuck on one back-up file and we loose all our changes and updates.

We have lost weeks of work when we restore the site.
Some things are there and some are not.

We revised the New Customer form, tested it was working fine. Sent all the info to the data base. Worked perfect.

Loaded in a bunch of new images into the library, made changes to the product short description and changed images in the Cyclone sliders on a bunch of product categories. Even added a few new products…

Then when we were adding a hot link to the new customer form we crashed the site.

When we restored the site, all the changes were gone.

We tried to rebuild some of the changes to test and make sure if we restore the site again it will save the changes (waited 30 hours) restored back 16 hours – new changes gone. Did this several times.

Tried to restore using both files/data, then we tried files first then data second… same problem.

Could there be a conflict between GoDaddy and the theme?

So instead of optimization the images are cropped to the size needed for the design of the theme. There’s a theme crop for product images which can be turned on or off in Theme Options > Shop Settings under Product Image Sizes.
Larger images can definitely slow a site down considerably, however you are relatively safe with the dimensions I mentioned above. The majority of photos in the demo range from 1050×500 to 2000×1200.

Hannah I hear what you are saying however it appears to me like the virtue theme is resizing images to specific sizes for specific pages. I guess what I want to know is if there is a size which could be considered as optimal rather than to have a different image size each time I load an image to the site. Additionally I am concerned with image size since I thought that the bigger the image the longer the timeframe for its appearance. BTW I recognize that you are the expert so if I am not making sense pls point it out as I would view it as constructive. Thanks.

Hi,

I’m using the premium virtue theme which is great. One issue — the images on mobile (iPhone 6 in this case) are blurry. If you go to my site (below) you’ll see the painting images are not the greatest quality but when you click on one of them, the single portfolio images look normal. How can I fix this? So far I’ve tried adjusting the thumbnail sizes and regenerating the images and changing the size of the image in page-portfolio.php which slightly helps but it slows down the site dramatically.

Yes, the main blog page(post archive). I don’t have an actual device with that width so I only saw it on Chrome developer tools, Firefox Developer Tools and some other responsive test sites. I know these aren’t always accurate but I thought since they ALL show this behaviour…
Like I mentioned, it’s only between 768 and 991 px width.

When I’m loading a category page on my site ( especially on the desktop version) first time this page remain blank and only after I push the refresh button the products photo’s appear. Do have any idea what can I do to fix that, because I found that pretty disturbing for a site visitor. Any way, in general the front page is loading very slowly (on mobile and desktop, to). The photos that I load on my website are between 1200×1600( products photos) – 1350×2024.

on the front page in order to get the same height for all symbols
and the text ? And is it possible to keep this height also in the mobile version?

And is there a chance to modifiy the font type on the mobile site?
I have only a option for the menu font type, but not for font type on the
