I’ve been using Virtue theme for numerous websites I’ve created for clients. I’ve tried many others, but always come back to Virtue. One of my current clients really wanted to try another theme first, so I built the site using that (Coach Pro). This weekend I installed then activated the free Virtue theme and have been working today to restore the ‘look’ of the site with customization.

I have found that when I go to the site’s WP dashboard, under Appearance, there is no ‘Theme Options’ as I’m used to seeing. There is the Customization selection, but that will not allow me to customize the headers/typography, or have any access to Home Page Slider options. It appears that there is an entire portion of the theme install not showing on the dashboard of this site.

Any suggestions?

The site I’m referring to is *Login to see link . As you will see, the main page titles are black (not customized) and I’m unable to reinstall the slider that was there previously with the other theme, and usually is easily to manage with Virtue.

As I’ve talked my client into switching themes after she had purchased another for $150, I certainly don’t want to disappoint her with Virtue not working. I emphasized to her how user-friendly and reliable it was/is. I hope it remains so!!

i know this is outside of the realm of site support, but if you can recommend anything, i would greatly appreciate it.

Hello,

I was going over WooCommerce settings for the theme and I was trying to find a way to allow a person to download a file from the site without going through the checkout process. Is there a way to eliminate the checkout process if the product is free? Or a way to make a file downloadable right when a person clicks a link of that product?

Are you sure your adding to the right menu? I don’t see those classes on your site.

Thanks for the help Ben. I talked with BlueHost and they told me it was a SiteLock issue. SiteLock said it was a BlueHost issue. The back and forth has been awful.

Finally someone at SiteLock realized what was happening and for now… it looks like it is fixed.

But.. I still have not solved the issue of the header loading slow and the testimonials all loading in the home page widget and then going back to the right number of rows. Basically, it loads all the testimonials when the header is loading, then when the page finishes loading, the testimonials fix it self and go to one row.

You need a payment gateway. For example say you started taking credit cards with a forum spot on your site? You need a way to run those cards and transfer that money to your account. There are tons and tons of gateways (including paypal which does credit cards).
It’s not about picking a plugin it’s about getting a payment gateway. If your just starting then use paypal. You can setup an account and you don’t even need to add any extra plugin the link is already built into woocommerce.

Hey,
1. The icons are from your secondary menu. Go to appearance > menus and un-assign the menu to your secondary menu location.

2. The bar is an image you added in your theme options > main settings. The banner image. Just remove that.

3. Based on the output of the site you have turned the switch to “on” which would disable the ligthbox since the item is “Turn Off Theme Lightbox?”

You need to leave it enabled so make the switch off.

Hey,
You can’t update the theme and not update woocommerce. The version 3.2.6 supports the latest versions of woocommerce. Both updates came out at the same time.

Once you update woocommerce and the theme then deactivate your other plugins to find which one is breaking your site.
