Hey William,
You can test your site here- http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/beTOod/http://www.bassmanblainehome.com/
I would just recommend compressing some of your images.Hannah

Hi Ben!!
The bassman-blaine.com website is good now. I fixed that one.
I have another website for an umbrella company. bassman-blaine.mystagingwebsite.com (my staging site). The slider and testimonials widget below load slow for first time visitors. The testimonials show up on 2 rows and then when the slider loads it goes back to the one row.
I will look into the w3 total cache and the other one you suggested.
Can you please look at the bassman-blaine.mystagingwebsite.com for me too?

August 27, 2015 at 3:11 pm #55915I look at your site and I can see that you have extra brackets all over the place in your custom css box. You seem to add a bunch???
Rather then going back and forth why do you just send me a login to your site and I’ll fix all your css then you can leave it as is.
Ben

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Menu disappears on iPad
The navigation menu on our site at News media Guild is behaving badly on iPads. The menu doesn’t show up at all at first, but does show up after you click to go to an article. It also shows up and disappears when turning the iPad different directions.
I think it might be getting covered up by the revolution slider at the top of the page. Any ideas about what I can do to make it appear?

August 27, 2015 at 1:58 pm #55899I suggest w3 total cache or wp-rocket (if your willing to pay) as the best caching plugins.
I’m looking at your site and I’m not noticing any long waits for the slider? The whole page loads in 1 second: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/eEBXVa/http://www.bassman-blaine.com/

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeHi everybody!
Maybe the answer to my question is too complicated, if so please ignore it! I just wanted to try just to make sure cause I can’t figure it out.
I am trying to add commercial like images in my shop archive page. For example:
Example site
A beautiful image switching between floating to the right and left, different sizes if possible. I just can’t figure out how. If you look at the code of the site above, they have ’tiles’ in between there product loops.Maybe there is a solution for it I haven’t thought of or just didn’t know? And if it’s too much, I’ll remove my question!
Thanks in advance!

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben,
Yep, you’re pretty much right about most of what you said. However, the main issue here is the extension I am using is not a third party plugin – it’s an official WooThemes extension. I sent you it via email already, but it’s called ‘Bundled Products’. They also have one called ‘Composite Products’ and both break when radio buttons are enabled on Virtue and when they are used with variable products.
For now I’ve manually added a fix that basically keeps radio buttons disabled except for very specific products which in the end is operating as intended, however it would probably be ideal to have the radio button functionality work with extensions that expand on WooCommerce’s basic offerings.
Perhaps a bridge function of sorts that catches ‘on select’ changes and pipes them through the radio buttons. Overall, my problem is mostly solved, but for future compatibility if the radio functionality was able to receive triggers meant for a drop down, that would restrict the possibility of you having to deal with these issues in the future.
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeHi!!!
I installed the Kadence slider(which I love BTW)…. but it is loading slow. I compressed the files and used JPEGmini to make them smaller. I installed a plugin to help with cache (Zen Cache) and one for GZIP (GZIP ninja). They are not helping. Any recommendations???
Also, the bassmanblaine.mystatingwebite.com testimonials widget area is loading funny for first time visitors. It is showing 5 testimonials with 2 rows and then when the page finally loads it goes back to the 3 testimonials and 1 row (which is what I want).
I have two sites:
bassmanblaine.com
bassmanblaine.mystagingwebsite.com (not live yet)I love your site and would love to keep using this slider!
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: panel grid cell custom css
Hi,
These are small details, but there is probably a way to accomplish so thought I’d ask.Site URL: *Login to see link
#1 – I have a pair of panel grid cells sitting next to each other. I want to indent the title for the left cell, but not the right cell’s title. I have the following custom css added, which accomplishes the title indent, but does it for both cells. Is there something I can add that will make ONLY the left cell’s (id 2-1) indent, without indenting the right cell title?
Current custom css:
.home #pg-2-1 .panel-grid-cell
.widget-title {
margin-left: 30px;
}#2 – Above and below the pair of panel grid cells I speak about in #1, I have a panel grid cell above and below for horizontal dividers. I’d like to extend the dividers closer to the edges of the body window , so the edge of the dividers lines up with the edges of the secondary menu, etc. Is there custom css to add to accomplish this?
Thanks for the excellent support. Much appreciated,

In forum: Virtue ThemeI have set up a new site and have a blog, but at the bottom of the pages, there is no place where it prompts readers to leave a comment. The blog page is set up to the blog template and I have the settings to allow comments, but there just is no way to leave comments on the blog posts.
Any ideas?

Hi Alex,
What do you mean “normal layout?” The only issue I’m seeing when I view your site from an Iphone6 is extra space on the right side which could be resulting from an extra closing div tag. Check to make sure divs are closed properly.
Are you seeing other issues in mobile?Hannah

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeHi,
I have recently updated the theme across a multi-site and now none of the sites are showing available shipping options on the front end, despite me being able to see that they are set up on the admin panel/s…
Here is one example…
There should be a standard shipping rate of £3.99 showing for UK customers?
Many thanks,
AndyIn forum: Virtue ThemeHey Ben,
I have discovered what the culprit is but still do not know how to exactly fix it.
It seems Virtue overrides the built in WooCommerce variation javascript file:
in lib/scripts:
wp_deregister_script(‘wc-add-to-cart-variation’);
And then goes ahead to add the custom Virtue one. This breaks this bundled extension, and I’m guessing will break a lot of extensions that relate to products with variations (also breaks composite products).
Can you look into releasing an update with javascript that somehow can work in parallel to woocommerce’s base script? Or provide me a solution I can implement that will allow both radio buttons and WooCommerce’s base functionality to work in tandem?
Thanks.
