Hi Ben,
I have been talking to my web host and they have this to say:
The website is hosted on a Windows server.
The issue may be your theme’s requirements. It may be using an extension or have some other requirement that may not be supported by the version of PHP on this web server.
Do you know if the theme has any system or software requirements required to support it?
——-Is there anything we should know about here?
As mentioned before, it appears to only be this theme I have problems updating.Thank you.

August 12, 2015 at 10:16 pm #53208Hey,
I would suggest using a plugin especially if you just need to validate your site. If this isn’t something specific you can also use this plugin just to add anything in the header.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/header-and-footer-scripts/I recommend not editing files.

August 12, 2015 at 10:14 pm #53207Hey Liz,
Just looked at your site and I see that you are not using contact form 7 anymore. If you can post with it on again I should be able to tell you the issue.Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeAugust 12, 2015 at 10:09 pm #53205Hey,
You are not supposed to be able to use the woo settings on purpose. When I look at your site I see that the code is there to turn off the theme lightbox. Please make sure it’s turned on in your misc settings. Then make sure you clear your wp-supercache in the super cache settings.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Icons & Firefox
Hi,
I’ve read through several similar posts with my problem but can’t seem to find the right solution for my situation.creationpet.com is my site.
I’m getting the cross-origin error for my icons. However, in my admin settings in WordPress I have the domain as creationpet.com
Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at *Login to see link (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing).
What am I missing? Thanks so much!
Amanda

August 12, 2015 at 2:14 pm #53142Hey,
The “my-account” page can be your login page. That is where you can login. AS for the logout use a custom link option and make it to this urlYoursite.com/?customer-logout=trueBen

August 12, 2015 at 2:12 pm #53141Hey,
Can you look in your .htaccess file for the site. Check to see if the permalink rules are being written. And to be clear if you use default in the permalink settings does this work?
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeHey there-
The background color of my Topbar Menu is white with black font color. I found code on the forum to change the font color of the search box from white to black. I would like to add a thin (1px) black border around the Search box to make it stand out. Can you provide code?Sorry, I’m unable to provide a link. My site is on my developer’s test site.
Cheers-
RitaIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Demo Content 2
tried it again, reset WordPress and the permalink is defaulted to Custom, and the site works (the basic WordPress site)… then changed the permalink to Post and now I have the same problem as the Kadence site (Site Not Found, The requested URL /wpwayne/2015/08/12/hello-world/ was not found on this server, Apache/2.4.9 (Win64) PHP/5.5.12 Server at localhost Port 8000)

August 12, 2015 at 12:45 pm #53114Hey Allan, I took a look. In your custom child theme you copied over a parent functions file.. “custom-woocommerce.php”
You shouldn’t ever copy/attempt to override a parent theme functions files. Overriding should only be done for template files.
If you need to add functions use the child theme functions.php file to do that. If you need to remove functions from the parent theme use the remove_action features. Don’t override..
That was your issue. I activated the parent theme on your test site to show you.
