In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: The format of search results
If I do the following in the memo (and my own) site, the result isn’t really what I want:
Open Search on *Login to see link and enter, lets say, “customers”
The pre-view picture is a pencil on a grey background. Not really what I’m looking for….
Is there some way to either:
a) Set some kind of preview picture, or
b) get rid of the picture totally (sure, I could replace it with a clear 1×1 pixel gif…..?)And while we’re at it: Is there some way to format the rest of the results page?
Especially the length and/or content of the preview text.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Captions in Virtue Gallery
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeHi all,
I’m trying to import the example data into my site, and I’m getting the following error:
“Sorry but your import failed. Most likely, it cannot work with your webhost. You will have to ask your webhost to increase your PHP max_execution_time (or any other webserver timeout to at least 300 secs) and memory_limit (to at least 196M) temporarily.”I tried to find the place to change the values, but I couldn’t found them, Could you please help with this issue?
Thanks,
David Ramriez

In forum: Virtue ThemeJuly 6, 2015 at 8:12 pm #48193I am not a CSS programmer and I think I need a css fix; The site I’m working on (www.chicagolandwatersolutions.com) has a table at the bottom of the home page, and the 1 PX border shows up fine around all the cells in Firefox and Chrome, but I can’t get it to appear in IE 11 (or Windows 10 Spartan either). Any ideas? Tearing hair in Chicago (as the Grateful Dead lose it naturally downtown)…

July 6, 2015 at 2:08 pm #48172Thanks for responding to hannahs question. Can you check through what I asked? With no images loading on your site portfolio or otherwise I’m wondering if this may be a permissions issue with the uploads folder? Have you tried contacting your host?

So sorry to keep bugging you but when I try to activate: Virtue/Pinnacle toolkit plugin, I get this:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare kad_accordion_shortcode_function() (previously declared in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage21/st/_b/o_/st-bo.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/themes/pinnacle_premium/lib/kad_shortcodes/general_shortcodes.php:33) in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage21/st/_b/o_/st-bo.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/virtue-toolkit/shortcodes.php on line 20
I suspect this is why my site is having some bugs – all non native plugins are deactivated.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Mobile & Desktop Backgrounds For Pinnacle Premium
July 6, 2015 at 12:02 am #480951. Is it possible to have a different background for my site when it is viewed with a mobile device or on a desktop machine?
– Yes, possible with custom css, There isn’t a built in option for this through.
2. Hard to know without a link. try this:@media (max-width: 768px){ body{ background-size: 100% 100% !important; } }Ben
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeSo I saw somebody ask this question for the Virtue theme, but I couldn’t find any posts specifically regarding the Pinnacle Premium theme…
Is it possible to have a different background for my site when it is viewed with a mobile device or on a desktop machine? I have a very large graphic on my site, which looks great on desktop computers. On mobile devices, however, the image is way too large — it basically only shows a portion of the image and that looks bad. I want the image to fill the whole background; I don’t care if it’s skewed out of proportion, I just need it to fill the screen with the entire image. It seems like the best solution at this point might be to use a different background entirely for mobile devices that is much smaller.
The current settings for my background image are: No Repeat, Fixed, Cover, Center Center. I’ve played around with all of the settings for the theme, there doesn’t seem to be a way to get the image to stretch correctly on both desktop and mobile devices that I can find.
The interesting thing is I can get the image to do what I want on pages I manually code with the following CSS code: “background-repeat: no-repeat; background-size: 100% 100%;”. I’ve tried manually targeting the <body> element with this CSS code, but for some reason that isn’t working on pages generated by the Pinnacle Premium theme. The image fills most of the screen, but some parts of the screen, particularly the footer, seem to fall outside of those boundaries.
I am wondering what the recommended solution is for handling this problem? Any suggestions would be wonderful. Thank you!
