I’m trying to figure out the best way to display images on the different pages and posts of my website http://www.autoperforma.com. I would like to display images in a slider that automatically scrolls to the next image, so that there is basically one fixed location where the images are being displayed. After clicking on the image it should open in a lightbox. I think this nicer than having a gallery of images where each image is displayed separately, and I don’t want to have too many separate images between the text. I would like to keep the pages and posts as compact as possible.
I have tried the built in slider options for the feature page template. They work nicely but unfortunately they appear above the header of the page or post, I would like them to appear below the header and possibly also somewhere halfway the page in between the text. This is why I decided to use the fullwidth template and page builder, because this allows me to display sliders randomly across the page.
Please have a look at the slider on this page: *Login to see link
The page has the fullwidth template. I’m using the Virtue Gallery widget and set the gallery type to image carousel. It looks OK but the background behind the slider automatically turns to black. Also, when I click on of the images it just opens the image but not in lightbox. This is strange because I’m almost certain that the images used to open in lightbox before, just like the do on the gallery page for instance. I also have the impression the built in feature page slider display more smoothly, I feel this slider is a bit jerky sometimes. How can I make sure the images open in lightbox and change the background color of the slider? I have used the same slider solution in this post, here the background seems to be transparent: *Login to see link
Maybe you have a better idea to get the result that I want (a universal way to display images in a slider across different pages and posts), I would be happy to find out. Is there for instance a way to display the built in carousel slider from the feature template randomly across the page instead of above the header?
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: set headers per page
oh okay. well can you help me out with something? because really all i want is a custom header on my home page.
my site is http://thepoliticaladvisor.com/
and i want this image to be above the menu
http://thepoliticaladvisor.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/logo-header-2.png (it is just the logo with the clear background to show off the body image when scrolled)
now, i like using the main menu option because it allows me to have the name of the site on the left side, but i realized that whenever i update the “header” it effects the background of the menu too..
i originally thought to do it as a single image slider, but i cant seem to quite get it to look right.
is there some way you can think to incorporate that image into the home page only? i want it above the menu, but i also want the menu to be sticky…
… now that ive said all of this, it kinda sounds like i ask for too much..
In forum: Virtue ThemeJuly 8, 2015 at 9:39 am #48379An alt attribute will not effect your site speed.
Also Validator is a tool, not a guideline. There are many things that are “errors” which are not at all but intentional for older browser support.
In your page try using the portfolio carousel from the home page layout options instead of the widget and test.

July 8, 2015 at 9:31 am #48378I would love if the slider was a litlle larger on smaller screens
I don’t see a slider loading on mobile on your site?
You will notice that on the slider you linked to the background image is very much lost on the sides when you resize the screen. If you are fine with losing the edges like that then just set the sider height to a fixed height and your images to cover.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
My website *Login to see link running on virtue theme is very slow to load images. I was checking w3c validation for my website on *Login to see link
There were quite a lot of errors reported. One among them is shown in the link below. An ‘img’ element must have an ‘alt’ attribute which is missing on the virtue theme web pages.
Please resolve and let me know how can I get the alt attributes for all ‘img’ tags on the virtue theme pages.
Your response appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

July 7, 2015 at 11:51 pm #48332Hey,
So with your site in maintenance I can’t see any page.
But I can guess. Try adding this in your theme options > advanced settings.#containerfooter { text-align: center; } #containerfooter .virtue_social_widget a { float:none; display:inline-block; }Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi there,
The quantity box on my site (shown on all products by the Add To Cart button) works fine for regular products, but on bundled products (using WooThemes Product Bundles) this is split with the + to the right of the Product Title and the – to the right of the add to cart button.
I have tried to find a plugin clash, but have been unable to find one, and WooThemes support said that it looked like a theme issue – I am hoping you can help clarify what may be causing this.

The site has a coming soon set-up, so here is a non-admin login to view:

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Footer Alignment
Hi all,
I was wondering what the appropriate CSS to adjust the alignment of widgets in the footers is?
The two widgets currently used are the vcard and the social links, in footer column 1 & 2, respectively. My goal is to have the widget & widget titles centre aligned.
*Login to see link is the site, but it’s behind a maintenance screen at the moment, so I’m not sure if it’ll be visible to you.
Perhaps try this link if it isn’t accessible… *Login to see linkThanks in advance for any help.
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Latest Pinnacle 1.3.7. Broke My Child
Sorry Ben, my mistake. I had installed the child Theme on Pinnacle and then when that broke I installed another onto the Child Theme I think, not sure why the original child and the main theme were broken, I’ve been having issues with an sitemap xml maker plugin and it completely erased my site, then been dealing with backups. I have requested Google analytics for a referral on the error messages, I’m sure everything will be fine.
thanks for your time
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Portfolio widget and page not working
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeI’ve been having major issues with the latest update, once I update to 1.3.7 from the previous my child theme breaks and seems like the stylesheet gets disconnected, here is the message generated by WordPress:
Broken Themes
The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.
Name Description
Pinnacle Premium Child 01 The parent theme is missing. Please install the “pinnacle” parent theme. Delete
pinnacle-child Stylesheet is missing. DeleteI thought maybe it was caused by Orbisius Child Theme Creator, lost the entire site then backed up and tried to activate the Pinnacle Premium 1.3.7 and made a child theme using Child Theme Configurator and the same again, stylesheet doesn’t work and the same error messages, this is the only Pinnacle Premium site where the child has been broken. Also, I noticed Google analytics started reporting this:You have 1 high-priority issue: Missing Tracking Code. Something very wrong going on with my install, actually this is being reported on several other Pinnacle Premium sites I have.
website is here: greenfingersdirtyboots.co.uk
Any ideas what is going on,
thanks
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Google maps Lightbox
Hi,
unfortunately I was not able to create a text link that would open Google maps or any other map provider as an iframe in the lightbox. According to the website of Magnific lightbox it should be possible, but I don’t know how. Can you please help me.
Thank you!

July 7, 2015 at 11:05 am #48281You don’t need it but it powers the visual editor widget which is nice to have. I am using this plugin on my sites without issue. I can’t see how that could be the issue. Do you have everything up to date. What other plugins are you using?
