In reply to: Media Gallery setup
I installed kadence galleries plugin via zip but when trying to activate, I got a http error 500 lock out. I had to delete the plugin from the control panel in order to get back in to the site. I am currently using an IP address temporarily as the url for the new site until content from active site is moved over or copied. What do you think is the problem?
Host provider suggested creating a subdomain; it may solve the problem but not certain about that. Also, php memory limit is 512.
In forum: Membership ForumsI appreciate some help asp pls, its a client site and as said before when trying to log in we get a horrendous error message relating to the theme, and some pages that have used theme short-codes are blank. Is the solution to try to update virtue theme through ftp? how do i do it if that’s the solution and will i lose custom css and so on? tnx

It looks like the partner who set the current site up paid premium versions for many of the plugins. I just don’t see the merit of doing that when your themes bundle I have covers just about everything I would need.
I am going to try the Ascend Kadence Galleries functionality first to see if I can set up the filters in a similar manner, per Kevin’s response. I think it’s possible.

After moving a site to a new location I have noticed that the visibility of the blog grid is somehow switched off. This affects the home page (where I have latest blog posts enabled) and also a series of index pages for different categories that employ the blog grid template.
The indexed posts are there (moving the mouse around and doing a right-click will show there are images there) but they’re completely invisible.
If I opt for a different setting, such as the standard non-grid listing, that works fine. The site just refuses to show grid listings. I’ve also ruled out plugin and theme conflicts.
Is there any file or setting that I’ve maybe not copied across which affects the blog template?

You should be able to set this in Theme Options> Main Settings “Sitename Logo Font.”
Does that work for you?

Hello,
This maybe woocommerce issue but I don’t have this problem whit other themes.
Issue is: All other text have transfer to Finnish but only in >> Cart Summary << Cart Summary text still remain english in shoping cart. I have trying check everything but I dont find reason for that, also woocommerce language files are 100% transfer to finnish language.
Any help?

Hello,
My site logo is just text, not an image. For the life of me I can’t figure out where it is or how to edit it.
I want to experiment with font, color, opacity.
Also, the logo disappears at phone size. It also increases it’s font for Ipad size. How to control all of these parameters?

Thank you for this css. By analyzing it, I was able to figure out that there is an 8 number hex that can control for opacity, that was very useful. I researched how to change that opacity and found several sites giving bad information but this giving the right thing: https://css-tricks.com/8-digit-hex-codes/
I played around with the topnav and settled on a dark green background at 80% opacity. It’s not ideal but at least the color matches the parallax image and will suffice for the coming year.

Hi, i noticed this when contents of a page where im using short codes in virtue disappeared and when we tried to log in i get this error:

In your past site url you assigned the menu to your secondary navigation. On your newer site, you’ve assigned the menu to the primary navigation spot which has different styles and placement. Just switch to using the secondary like the other site.

Hey brad19831 can you create a new topic and post a link to your website so we can see what widget you are adding to the above the footer widget area.
Just so you know the ascend demo you linked to is only adding that on the home page and it’s added through the page content. It’s not added through the above footer area because then it would show on every page and post.

On the site you linked to they are using this plugin to create that gallery: https://codecanyon.net/item/essential-grid-wordpress-plugin/7563340
That plugin is stand alone and you can use with ascend if you want the same gallery.

I had a Elementor tech support look into why their forms were not working as should….
He switched the themes to default WP themes to check if it was a theme conflict… apparently it is … BUT this is NOT why I am messaging you.
The site since he checked has lost functionality…
AN ERROR ON IS PART MAY BE….He switched back to Virtue Theme… AND NOT my child virtue theme. I had to do this once I noticed.
This is a list of what is not responding:
– Mobile Drop down menu
– My portfolio grid pages: the isotope filter does not work
– Buttons that actvate popups (elementor popup widget) non responsive
– Hero images on pages are no longer full width
– There may be more but only checked quicklyCan you shed some light on this and maybe a quick fix?
