Hi there!

On my site http://www.scentandspice.nl I’m using the Portfolio to showcase articles about different subjects. Below every article is a carousel with other suggested readings, the portfolio bottom carousel. See for example: *Login to see link

The problem is that I’m not able to figure out what the reasoning behind the selection of articles is. Bottom Portfolio Carousel Items is set on “All portfolio posts”, still some articles are featured continuously, others never show up. No special tags are added to articles that shop up.

I would like to have real random selection of articles to show, OR the option to highlight certain articles.

Could you explain how to achieve this?

This is apparently due to inconsistency between Recaptcha keys in the WP Kadence Recaptcha Plugin and Google. The keys have to be synched up, but how can I login to WP to do that? I also can’t login to WP to switch off Recaptcha for Login.

Was just wondering if someone could let me know which size I should make my images for product images. Is there an ideal size I should make these prior to uploading them to the site or even a size you could recommend?

I can try that. But Pagebuilder has been giving me problems with the “saving mode” locking up. Everything gets saved but saving mode doesn’t stop until I refresh. Hopefully Site Origin is correcting it since I messaged them. They said they couldn’t duplicate the issue. But everytime I deactivate Pagebuilder widget bundle, saving mode works properly. Then, later when I reactivate widget bundle, it works for awhile, then the saving mode starts all over again locking up. They have another update. After I back up the site, maybe I will reactivate it and see if it works correctly.

Had the same issue with Black Studio TinyMCE Widget plugin too. But seems to be working now.

I do like your Ascend info box I use for the icons and links for the sidebar. I assume via Pagebuilder I could do the same thing essentially?

PS How about send me the css code as a backup option?

The Featured Products does not show up leaving a large blank space after Posts and before On Sale.
Scrolling down the page does not make it “appear”. Scrolling to the blank area and then refreshing the page will have it appear.
However, the typical user is not going to do that. 🙂

It looks like on all your pages you are maually setting: Page Title background behind Header

I’ve just set that to be the default for your site so the archives pick up that styling.

I also set the basic to be the exact same so a transparent header doesn’t need to be used.

On my dashboard where it says ‘edits since last backup’ the number of edits was 434. I did not do that many edits. I then did a backup on backup buddy and I changed my password. I went back to my dashboard and I had 30 more edits, a minute later it was 46, then 60 and now it is at 74 edits which I did not do. Was I hacked? The only change on my website is the home page, the pictures on the slider were bigger than they are now.

I deactivated a couple of plugins and was able to load the toolkit.
This is a site rebuild and now my tabbed shortcodes are working again and I can stay at this point for now, and carry on with other content work.

I would like to upgrade to the virtue pro theme at some point and I still don’t see a section to export the theme settings. Maybe it’s something simple that I am missing…

Never mind, I just saw the new menu items with the export feature. I may have missed it in the instructions, but I didn’t see a step that said to be sure and load the kadence toolkit to allow for export before switching to the pro version.

I have been helping a friend with a new site and he is was struggling with finding a great theme until I suggested he try Virtue. It really is feature rich. Now i remember why I picked it oh those many years ago.

Hey Robert, could you send me a login to your site. The error: The plugin does not have a valid header. Usually means that there is a plugin on your site loading incorrectly or there is caching in the server database cache is that toying with the active plugin global.

With a login I should be able to figure it out for you.

Theme: Virtue – Premium (Child )

I am truly missing a setting (or two ) with my site. Before WP 5, I had this for my CSS to hide the title of every page:

}

And it was working.

However with WP 5 now installed when I add new pages the title shows up as a link under my top menu and it’s not just the current page that is doing this but for every page I add (only the new ones added are doing this) and the place it shows up is under my main (top) menu.

I tried adding the above CSS to WP 5, but the title still shows up. I installed 2 different plugins that are supposed to hide the title, but the titles are still showing up. I searched through the forum (using terms: Hide Title) and although there are a few posts, none of them seem to work.

I did notice there is a place that says “Show Page Title” and on each page the setting is set to “Hide” and that is failing too.

What am I missing?

I have 2 slides set up within the home page slider options, but on my home page, the slider is showing there is 3 slides, yet the third one is blank.

I have tried deleting all the slides and re-adding them, but it hasn’t worked.

I have reset the browser and website cache each time, and have also tried other computers on different internet connections. Not sure what i can do?

I’m seeing quite a few errors on your site. I would suggest deactivating your plugins to test if any are conflicting. Let me know if there’s no change.
