I hired someone to work on my site 2 years ago.

He took it upon himself to add a bunch of code to the theme that I don’t understand.

I removed everything you suggested but it is still not showing.

What next?

Hey,
I’ve debated this quite a lot. 🙂 right now I am planning new major updates to all three themes starting with Virtue. This means new demo content (more sites), rewritten code base and new features like a header builder in the customizer. The trick is the backward compatibility. But I have the major hurdles worked out.

Basically, I could create a new theme which would be easier but part of our philosophy here is to keep our products current and updated as the web updates so your not having to switch themes as a theme gets “old”. No theme needs to get “old”. Our pricing philosophy works so that we don’t abandon themes for new themes to create more revenue.

Does that make sense?

With Gutenberg and WordPress 5.0 Kadence Blocks has had to take front and center. But I expect the major update to virtue to launch in January.

I’m wondering about new theme release road maps…

My standard theme is Ascend, but I have a few sites on Pinnacle and Virtue. I would like to standardize across all of my sites.

I know Ascend has been out for quite a while now. I’m wondering if there is a new theme on the short-term roadmap. If so, I would prefer to move these older sites to the newest theme.

Our website is a Managed WordPress website with Godaddy, so we cannot access the cpanel, but their chat support was on it today and we got this resolved very quickly.

Yes, cleared and turned off and on several times. That’s good to know, hopefully it’s just my phone since obviously from the subject matter, my audience for the site is tech-savvy and mobile probably only or intense.

HI, using the pro version of Virtue, the menu doesn’t show up on Mobile Chrome Browser – but works fine and dandy on Explorer and Opera. Using an android. Is there a plugin I should be downloading? Site is dronesinthedesert.com Thanks for any help.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the quick response. The Home Page was set correctly in the Theme settings and the content was still entered on the page editor. However, your suggestion did give me the idea to double check the Homepage Settings in the Customize menu (Appearance->Customize->Homepage Settings) and for some reason the site was set to display posts (rather than a specific page). Once I changed it back to my Home page, everything worked again. I know I didn’t make any changes, so I have no idea why it changed back to the default setting, but I’m so glad it was an easy fix! If you see anyone else with this same issue, you might want to have them double check these settings as well.

Hello,

Sorry you’re having troubles. Since I didn’t see the site before the issue, can you please specify what problems you’re having?

It looks like no home page content is being set to display. Try going to Theme Options> Home Layout, and make sure that the correct modules are set to the Active column.

Let me know if that makes a difference.

Hey,
I certainly suggest you remove the protect-uploads plugin if you feel it could be affecting your site negatively. You can contact there support if you can’t remove from your site or login to your Cpanel and manually remove the plugins folder.

if the catalog-visibility-options plugin is creating errors make sure you have the latest version of hte plugin. If you do then contact there support to see if they have a solution for you. You could look at using a different plugin as well.

Are you clearing your site’s cache after making the phone number required? I just tested setting up the phone number in that area on my site and it works fine.

Hi Ben,
Here’s the Italian traslation of Kadence Blocks

I put it in the plugin Language folder but I have a problem to see it in my local site, do I have to set a different name than it_IT.po and it_IT.mo?

I have the dashboard in Italian but when in the Settings I click Kadence Blocks or in the installed plugin page I click on Settings it suddenly revert the dashboard in English and your plugin too of course. It seems that something is preventing from translating it.

I’m working on a site with three or four main categories and I would like to be able to set up a default feature image for each category. Is this possible with Ascend? I can see how to set a default blog image using the blog settings but i’m looking for another level of granularity so that I can set up each category with it’s own default image?
