Hi Ben & Team,
My website *Login to see link was due for some plugin updates which is/was happening around the same time as the WordPresss updated. I noticed after the plugin updates that our Kadence Slider is gone, and replaced with this code: [kadence_slider_pro id=”1″] at the top of our home page.
I started by restoring a backup via our vaultpress to before when this would have been completed with no success. I also tried reactivating the plugin, but found that it has been completely removed from our website. And when I try to reinstall the plugin, this is the message I get:
Destination folder already exists. /home/content/a2pewpnaspod04_data05/39/41312939/html/wp-content/plugins/kadence-slider/
Plugin installation failed.
So it must have been automatically uninstalled as part of an update, and I think it was in relation to the wordpress update, but I’m not 100% sure. Any thoughts on what we may be doing wrong?

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Warning: Parameter
I got the following warning on my website *Login to see link which warning comes already up before the Login page for the WP admin. It says:
Warning: Parameter 2 to WC_Catalog_Restrictions_Query::posts_where() expected to be a reference, value given in /home1/gifts/public_html/victorianalimited.com/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 286
I used the Codeguard Restore a few times with previous backups but no success; the message is still there with all 3 restorations I tried. This message was not there when these backups have been made. It’s too obvious and I would have noticed it because of the malfunctioning of the sliders.
If there is anyone able to help me with this, it would be very much appreciated! This website with Virtue Premium is already running 4 years without issues but now a few days ago the above message came on at the top of the web page and the 2 slider are not properly working and have also a message. The website is now restored with the backup from 16 December 2018 and the plugin updates have been done again (WP 5.0.2)
1) But when I click at the front page on Home, then the 2 sliders have a message and are malfunctioning and there is a big gap between the 2 sliders. The warning message at the top is now always there. I thought it has to do with the new versions of the plugins and WP 5.0.02 but in contrast with that the other websites with the same plugins and updates are working properly see: victoriana.co.nz foilengravedcards.com and heroncards.com
So I’m puzzled and do not know how to solve it? The only thing that I can think of is that I noticed this phenomena after I updated the Terms of Trade. Something strange did happen there?? But I’m not sure. At the moment the old terms of trade are on it. If needed there is one codeguard backup available with all of this in the 24 December CG backup.2) And if I click on the category Classic Xmas Cards or on Little Notes then they seem to work normal, but message is still there at the top.I still have access to the back and there I find nothing wrong?
Hopefully that someone can help please?

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Alignment of main menu icons and citation problem
Hello,
1. I’m not sure what CSS you were using before, but you can try this:
@media (min-width: 1200px) { ul#menu-main1 li a i, ul#menu-main2 li a i { display: inline; } ul#menu-main1 li a span { float: left; padding-top: 15px; } ul#menu-main2 li a span { float: right; padding-top: 15px; } } ul#menu-main2 li, ul#menu-main1 li { width: 50% }I couldn’t get them to align properly in tablet view, so perhaps Ben or Hannah will have a better solution.
2. Do you know which plugin is adding this block? I don’t have it on my test site so I don’t think it’s a default block.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Image Captions not aligning in Gutenberg
Hey,
I just tested on my site and it seems to be a bug. When I add an image and a caption and then center align the image block, it’s also causing the caption to go to the left.
I believe this issue is with the editor itself, and not the theme, but I’ll flag this for a developer followup so that Ben can take a look asap.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Best way to apply translation spanish/english?
Hey Jessica,
If you’re looking to translate your site I would recommend using a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/
For a multilingual site we recommend using a plugin like WPML or Polylang. This tutorial may be helpful: https://www.kadencewp.com/working-wpml/
Hope that helps! Certainly, let us know if you have more questions along the way.Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeHello!
I’m making new site with WooCommerce and decided that WPML will be more suitable for my needs as Polylang. I purchased WPML and installed it as well other plugins which are needed to make multilingual WordPress site, including plugin “WooCommerce Multilingual – run WooCommerce with WPML” which looks untested with Virtue Premium 4.8.8. It looks that in reality these both are incompatible as in my admin page there are one big mess. May we count on soon Virtue Premium support for all WPML multilingual plugins? If not, are Your other themes supporting fully WPML?

Hey Claude,
A workaround could be to use the last or second to last Footer Widget Layout (with the long row on top) from Theme Options > Footer. Then navigate to Appearance > Widgets and, if using page builder by siteorigin, add the layout builder widget to footer column 1. Then create a row with 5 columns and add whatever content you want to each. Then just leave your other footer columns empty. Would this work for you?Hannah

December 22, 2018 at 7:03 am #211400Hi Hannah,
Thanks for the feedback.
What I actually meant was (or perhaps I made a mistake), I have created a Main Blog page https://www.adventuretravelcoach.com/blog. and all my Blog posts are linked to that page. Is this wrong?
Can you or Ben PLEASE have a look as mentioned before, at the following blog of
https://www.adventureinyou.comMy main blog page is https://www.adventuretravelcoach.com/blog/
On their Home Page, there is a Destinations option and that gives you a dropdown with all the destinations. I want my change my Main Blog page to similar to their Destinations page with drop down. Can I just change my Main Blog page or how do I revert it if you know what I mean (hope so). Can you perhaps log into my Website and check and advice me? Much appreciated.
Must I confirm my Bluehost login details or do you still have it?In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Slider Revolution

December 21, 2018 at 8:57 am #211321On the topic of blocks – Kadence has a Pro version of their Blocks plugin. On your page https://www.kadencewp.com/our-pricing-philosophy/ is the following:
“On top of a premium theme and top class support, you get the Kadence Slider Pro ($35/year) and Kadence Blocks Pro ($35/year) included with each theme purchase.”
With a paid-up Premium theme license, it sounds like I should be able to use Blocks Pro. Do I need to download a file from the Kadence site to get this? I don’t see the Pro version looking through the lookup in the Add Plugin (which searches wordpress.org, as I understand it).
So – am I licensed to use the Pro version, and if so, how do I install it?In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Problem showing mobile slider on tablet
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Polylang error
It looks that I found problem – I had Polylang to translate WordPress and WooCommerce atributes, categories, default fields etc from English to local, however for site I’m using only Latvian language. By default all categories and products should get Latvian language, but somehow in settings I found that some products and categories haven’t default language (it looks that in random) and there was option to add to all of them default language after what there appear all lost products and categories. And firstly mentioned error lost when I deactivated “Woocommerce Polylang Integration” and left Your adviced “Hyyan WooCommerce Polylang Integration”.
It looks that now all works fine, thank You!In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Google Map / API Key Problem
