Thanks Ben. Will test it out and see what happens. And will send to Site Origin. They did reply and said latest Gutenberg change caused a break but there is a fix in the works for the widget bundle.

PS Site Origin did recommend not to use their Page Builder or Bundle until Guten 5.0 was launched. I understand Nov 17 is the launch date.

Hi guys,

In theme settings>languages you give us some options to update / translate strings like SEARCH etc. But others are missing, namely:
Portfolio: previous project, next project, similar projects (related projects slider at the bottom of each portfolio item)

Use case:

I have a multilingual website using WPML. I can change the DE or any other language strings to whatever I want. But the original strings previous project, next project, similar projects can’t be changed / translated.

I tried plugin Say What – works ok for the original language, but then the translated strings are not found, i.e. original language shows on all languages.

The only option is to update the strings in the PHP template using a child theme, which is pretty cumbersome, considering you have the strings option in Languages menu.

Can you add these please? Same for any other strings of this type, maybe there are some for Staff?

There is something really weired I can’t find out what that was. Please see the screenshot. *Login to see link

Closer to the footer of the home page, there is a ghostly button, when I hoover over the blank space, the button appears. I have spent hours trying to de-construct the entire home page code by code to see where is this coming from, but still couldn’t find why this weired button is there.

How should I do? I work with Virtue Premium 4.8.5 and this is my site:

To add a slider inside the header widget area I tried to select the Virtue: Carousel widget but then I don’t understand how I can select the images that I want to show with the slider (or the Carousel).
I see that I can select a Carousel Type but don’t know either which type I should select in order to be able to specify the images that I want to show.

Thanks Ben for a fast reply.

But I really don’t understand. I have not gone into the child theme and done any changes myself.

I am not sure how I would go in and update those files either.

I try to stay out of messing with any codes I have learn the hard way about breaking the site by me trying to do any code stuff.

If you can give me any more suggestion on how I could just update those files I would appreciate it.

I just went into my file manager and see that I have this file in my child theme called email and it has when I view it

Hey, Sounds like your server failed to update the theme and you would just need to re-upload. If you go to your account here you can download the latest version and upload that to your site and then activate which should bring back all your settings.

I have had Virtue Premium on my site for years. All of a sudden my site went down and I have this message: The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. I added the free version of Virtue to get it back up, but would love to get my Virtue Premium back up.

Just a note that error seems to revolve around the post carousel widget. If you turn that off in the Site Origin Widget Bundle settings it should make things work.

It has to do with saving meta fields.

I deactivated plugins in the order of activation. Turns out Site Origin Widget Bundle interferes with Gutenberg pages and posts. The “saving” mode gets stuck whether saving to draft or publishing. The only way to stop it is to refresh. Then everything is saved. But when I change something and click save, the stuck mode starts all over again.

It all worked again when I deactivated the Site Origin Widget Bundle. I sent a bug report to Site Origin. The Page Builder by Site Origin doesn’t seem to be a problem.

I created a new page and saving is still stuck in cue. It alternates between “saving” and “auto saving”. The only way to stop it is to refresh. What I created is saved and there. I add content, click save draft, and it starts all over again in the saving cue. It’s happening on every Gutenberg page. It doesn’t do it when I am working in a non-Gutenberg page using Site Origin page builder.

Hey,

I just tested on my site and the “saving” indicator goes away and says “saved” after a small amount of time.

Do you have any gutenberg plugins installed besides Kadence Blocks?

Well, not working.

While the home page contents is now centered back, its top contents image (from a widget via the site builder) is gone. Also gone is the left sidebar from the /shop/ page. The shop page itself is now again as full width size.

I was hoping to implement a consistent spacing between content and the top header throughout the site. Basically, I would like to increase the spacing between the top header and content for all pages including archives, pages, post lists, and posts themselves. Also, if possible, I would like to control the sidebar height to better align with content?

On my site *Login to see link I have a same page anchor button link “Neem voor meer informatie gerust contact met mij op. (button within Siteorgin hero frame)

The offset for this link *Login to see link is not going well.
When I use the *Login to see link link in the main menu, it perfectly goes to the Contact headline, but when using the the anchor link in the button, it goes below the Contact headline.

Any ideas? (I am using the WordPress plugin scroll to ID, maybe this only works in the header menu?)

Which pages do you want to change the background of? And what do you want the new background to be? Also, you have maintenance mode on so I can’t see your site.
