Hey,
The shortcode or the way that embeds allows you to set if you want related videos to show but it doesn’t and can’t control restarting the video. You have related off which means videos that youtube thinks are related won’t show but I believe youtube is just trying to be smart and show the next video on your site. I don’t think you can overrule this. I think you would need to use a private video service if you wanted complete control.

Hi. I know how to do it now. On my site it goes: Page title, Page content, Latest Blog Posts and Featured Content. The Page content area is the part that I add my own text and Parallax images etc. Shame I can’t add another Page content at the bottom of the layout in Home Page Layout Manager to add Text, Parallax at the bottom after blog as well as after Page Title.

Unless you know of another way.

When I created the pages that use the virtue shortcode for YouTbe videos, upon completion of the video it would display the beginning of the video again. That was perfect, I did not want other options shown. This can still be seen when you play the video “Tips for using the Shaws Pad” on this page: *Login to see link

However, if you play the video above it “The Environmental Advantages of Using Shaws Pads”, upon completion of this video it displays other video options on my YouTube channel. This is what I do not want. The coding is the same for both of these videos; the video url is the only thing different. As I checked other YouTube videos on my site I found they were now displaying ‘options’ after the video completes; yet, it is not how it was when I set it up.

What happened that these videos no longer return to the beginning of the video? Why is it now showing me other options? How can this be fixed? I don’t know where to look for a remedy.

It didn’t give me the option to activate the Visual Editor Widget and I can’t seem to find it. I’m trying to download the restaurant demo, but to do so I need to activate Visual Editor Widget first.

The menu bar is looking great on desktop but the menu is not displaying at all in mobile view. It doesn’t seem to matter what I change in Theme Options there is no mobile menu left or right.

Strange, it’s back to not showing. I will have the developer look into this and see if he has any insight. It’s working fine on my site which makes me think it’s not a theme conflict.

I think you are all missing the point here.
Let me start again.
My home page has parralax images on there already and all work well as you can see from my site. I also have a latest blog and featured products at the bottom. These two items, blog and products are enabled in theme settings, thus displaying at the bottom of my home page.
I want to add a parralax image below these, just like the Virtue demo page. Is this easier to understand.

Sorry, that’s very confusing. If it’s the parallax you’re trying to create, that is done in your static homepage. The tutorial that Kevin posted above explains settings this up. Then to display that on your homepage you need to set your front page as a static page from settings > reading then enable page content in the homepage layout manager from theme options > home layout.
Sorry if I’m still missing something…

My host provider added all but two (Server Banners Displayed, Security Header:Strict-Transport Security) to the .htaccess file. I assume this doesn’t mess up anything with the Ascend theme using Gutenberg right? And host provider already has a strict access directly to https://. Input appreciated.

What work around do I have? Probably just photoshop to a reduced size. I am not currently using Page Builder-Gutenberg per Site Origin recommendation until WP core 5.0 is launched. In the meantime, I am trying to get ahead of the Gutenberg switch with the Gutenberg plugin. Sure loved Page Builder. The Gutenberg blocks are so limited. The image block lets me reduce size but can’t create columns.

What about you Gutenberg plug toolkit? Does it rectify this limitation?
