In reply to: Child theme files not hooked after update
// lib files are not template files they are functions files and you should never ever overide a functions file through a child theme.
well actually I changed something both in authorbox and utils, I think i changed permalinks in utils, so i’ll have to take them out to functions? and unhook first virtue permalinks.
as for the authorbox – I’ll already fixed it, thank you. disabled your authorbox in settings and called my authorbox.
// And if you are doing that because of spacing? or some other styling setting you should control that with css changes not with changes to the html output.
Actually you need to fix some things – user biography can have html tags and they are not displayed propely within p user-description i had to change it to div
Also I needed another tab an I wanted thumbnail to lead to user profile, and also new tab has another post query, so I had to make another authorbox.// Really important that you define My_Custom_Walker first though.
If you tell me specifically what you are wanting I would guess I may be able to offer a better solution.Walker seems a bit hard to me, I wanted to change link in user name, instead of the website that user specified, comment link should lead to user profile on site, as only registered users can leave comments.
In forum: Ascend ThemeI’m using this CSS:
@media (min-width: 992px) {
#ktsidebar {
border-right: 2px solid #e8e8e8;
}
}to create a vertical divider between my left sidebar and the main content section on THIS SITE.
Is there any way to get this vertical line to extend all the way down to the footer when the main content outruns the sidebar? I hope that makes sense.
Thanks much!!

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Changing a background picture in Home page
Hi Hannah,
Thanks for the quick answer but unfortunately I just don’t have any ‘last page builder row” with the background picture.
I have two text Widget and three Virtue information frame. I can modify the three bullets and text and that’s all.
I’m really confuse. I don’t even have access to the “last post” widget as you can see on my site http://roadbook-video.com/
Thanks for your help.In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Elementor vs SiteOrigin

July 23, 2018 at 12:57 pm #196729Hey,
I have an update coming out today that will remove the php warning when your site is in debug mode.As for attributes, this is not because of the elementor plugin. Your site is using the same attributes for all of the products so when you bundle multiple products on the same page the attribute ID is showing many times. I’m not sure what woocommerce is going to do long-term about this since it’s not specific to this theme or plugins but something that you setup would create anywhere. But with the next update of hte theme, I’ll push the ID field to not output by default and add a filter for it.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: login
Hi,
I just created a website yesterday. I was working on that just fine. Today I came back and it kept giving me the messaging “Not Found. Sorry, but the page you were trying to view does not exist.”
Can you please help me why that’s happening?
Thank you so much!
TracyIn forum: Ascend ThemeJuly 22, 2018 at 9:08 am #196644I am starting a new website, this time with Ascend Premium, and have imported one of the demo styles but would now like to change it. How do I do that?
On another note, I tried to search this in the forum before posting but I was denied access. The message was:
If you are the site owner (or you manage this site), please whitelist your IP or if you think this block is an error please open a support ticket and make sure to include the block details (displayed in the box below), so we can assist you in troubleshooting the issue.
The block details are: ‘An attempt to evade and bypass security filters was detected.’
Thanks,
PaulIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeHi Team Kadence!
It’s my yearly website tuneup time, and the first thing I’ve noticed is that my breadcrumbs are now distplaying on the wrong side of the page.
When I originally added breadcrumbs, they were on the left. Now site wide, they are appearing on the right.
I’ve checked the Virtue settings for breadcrumbs, but see no options to set alignment. If you could let me know where to correct the error, I’d be most appreciative.
Thanks guys!

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Mailchimp for WP
July 21, 2018 at 10:46 pm #196625Hey
So I strongly suggest you talk with MailChimp. While we are willing to help this isn’t a theme question and you are asking about something to do with your MailChimp settings. Something we can’t see how you’ve set up. MailChimp would be the best person to talk with about a redirect when using a subscribe form because it should be in their settings.If you can’t get any help from the people providing the product your wanting to use then send us a login to your site can if we can get to your settings from there we can help but some things are only accessible through your MailChimp account and you can’t share that login because of there 2 factor authentication.
Ben
