Yay! Sounds good Ben – I will watch for a new version.

After playing with it some more, I definitely like it the new plugin. I might try Elementor for some other parts of my sites, too as I get more comfortable with it.

Hi Team, a question on process.

The team at Retired Working Dogs are loving the listing of dogs available for adoption which was built using Virtue Portfolio items. They really like the way you can change Portfolio Type and see the different types of dog awaiting a home.

When a site visitor wants to advertise a dog for adoption, they apply on a form which is then emailed to a team member. The team member then does a copy and paste of the content into a new Portfolio item, and uses the included image as a Featured Image.

I’ve had a request to investigate improving this arrangement. Would it be possible for the information entered by the applicant to go directly to a new Portfolio Item? The Item could be saved as “Draft” or “Pending Review”. Then a team member could login and review any new items.

Does this sound feasible? Or are we going about this the wrong way?
    Thanks very much,
    Phil.

RSS feeds are automatically generated by wordpress, for example here is a post feed: https://digitalflightwire.com/vskylabs-cabri-propstrike-quatam/feed/

It’s not really a big deal and usually doesn’t play much of a role in your site but it’s there for feed readers. I’m going to see if I can find a way to make sure google doesn’t try to index galley feeds.

    #194638

    Hello,

I’m seeing the icons display here in the topbar:
    https://goal2work.co.za/

Have you tried clearing your cache or viewing the site while logged out of wordpress?

    Hi
I recently had to recreate my php database and reinstall virtue premium and backup of the site, after which the theme icons aren’t rendering on the front end of the site (looks like they’re missing in the menu in the backend too)

Here’s what I’m seeing in my browser:

    can you assist?

    Thanks

    Hey,
There seems to be an issue with javascript breaking on your page. without javascript running the gallery doesn’t fade in.

There is some strange javascript on your site including a call for jQuery directly from google:

    https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.3/jquery.min.js

Can you tell me if you are intentionally adding that?

    Ben

Hmm, 8mb max upload is small but still should work. It would be best if you can increase that.

But can you send me a login to your site I would like to take a look.

    Ben

    Hey,
From version 4.6.2 to 4.6.5 there were some javascript changes. You are using autoptimize which copies all the javascript and complies into one file. When you update it’s absolutely critical that you force autoptimize to recreate that file so you have all the new javascript matching the version of the theme you are on.

Without seeing the site not working that is my best guess for why things are not loading properly after you update.

If you would like you can send me a login and I can update and make sure all your minifed scripts are cleared.

    Hey,

It may be possible with CSS to replace one of the default social links with a different icon representing the home advisor site. This would require that you upload the icon to your site. Then link to the icon and the social link that you want to replace, and I can take a swing at the CSS.

Or perhaps you could add a custom social link with this plugin:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-social-icons/

Let me know what you think.

    Hello Mark,

Can you link to your site as well as the testing tool you’re using so that I can see those errors?

    Thanks,

    Hi Kevin,

I just tried to update the theme again and am getting the exact same conflicts with the kadence slider and the site origin not working
    at all.

I first deactivated all the main plugins but that had no effect.

    Hi Kevin,

One of the sites I tried to update today was
    https://rocklandsholidaypark.co.uk

The conflicts started as soon as I updated the theme.

I am currently using version 4-6-1 and updated to version 4-6-5.

Due to the conflicts I restored the old version quickly so I am back on versions 4-6-1 and it is working fine again.

I think I will deactivate all the plugins, update again and see if there are still conflicts.

    Regards
    Gary

    Hello,

I’m not getting this warning on my site. What version of the theme are you currently on?

    #194596

    Hello,

Instead of adding the code to your header or footer scripts, I believe it’s meant to be added to a text editor on your site for embedding. Try adding it directly to your page content or in a visual editor widget and it should display.

I am using Virtue Premium on my website http://www.dazzlemarketplace.com. The featured image is not showing up under my blog menu (blog archives). I have had my web developer fix it twice where the images show up and then they disappear. How can I permanently fix this?

    Hi There,

I have a number of websites running the Virtue Premium theme and started to update the theme to the latest version 4-6-5.

However after updating the new theme is causing a conflict effecting Kadence Slider and Site Origin Plugins which cease to function basically.

I tried a second website and got the same conficts so I preume these issues have been reported by other users, I can not find any info on the support forum.

    Please advise asap.

    Regards
    Gary

    Hi there,

I have a client who would like to turn off all comments, everywhere on her website –

    blog posts, pages, products …

So far I have found the place to disable comments on pages, under

    Theme Options –> Page Settings

But I haven’t found a corresponding option under Blog Settings or Product Settings.

May I ask you to point me in the right direction?

    Thank you!
