In forum: Membership ForumsIn forum: Virtue ThemeHi Team, a question on process.
The team at Retired Working Dogs are loving the listing of dogs available for adoption which was built using Virtue Portfolio items. They really like the way you can change Portfolio Type and see the different types of dog awaiting a home.
When a site visitor wants to advertise a dog for adoption, they apply on a form which is then emailed to a team member. The team member then does a copy and paste of the content into a new Portfolio item, and uses the included image as a Featured Image.
I’ve had a request to investigate improving this arrangement. Would it be possible for the information entered by the applicant to go directly to a new Portfolio Item? The Item could be saved as “Draft” or “Pending Review”. Then a team member could login and review any new items.
Does this sound feasible? Or are we going about this the wrong way?
Thanks very much,
Phil.In forum: Membership ForumsIn reply to: K Galleries Feed?
July 2, 2018 at 1:30 pm #194666RSS feeds are automatically generated by wordpress, for example here is a post feed: https://digitalflightwire.com/vskylabs-cabri-propstrike-quatam/feed/
It’s not really a big deal and usually doesn’t play much of a role in your site but it’s there for feed readers. I’m going to see if I can find a way to make sure google doesn’t try to index galley feeds.

July 2, 2018 at 10:38 am #194635Hey,
There seems to be an issue with javascript breaking on your page. without javascript running the gallery doesn’t fade in.There is some strange javascript on your site including a call for jQuery directly from google:
https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.3/jquery.min.js
Can you tell me if you are intentionally adding that?

July 2, 2018 at 10:24 am #194628Hmm, 8mb max upload is small but still should work. It would be best if you can increase that.
But can you send me a login to your site I would like to take a look.

July 2, 2018 at 10:21 am #194627Hey,
From version 4.6.2 to 4.6.5 there were some javascript changes. You are using autoptimize which copies all the javascript and complies into one file. When you update it’s absolutely critical that you force autoptimize to recreate that file so you have all the new javascript matching the version of the theme you are on.Without seeing the site not working that is my best guess for why things are not loading properly after you update.
If you would like you can send me a login and I can update and make sure all your minifed scripts are cleared.

In forum: Reply To:Hey,
It may be possible with CSS to replace one of the default social links with a different icon representing the home advisor site. This would require that you upload the icon to your site. Then link to the icon and the social link that you want to replace, and I can take a swing at the CSS.
Or perhaps you could add a custom social link with this plugin:

Hi Kevin,
One of the sites I tried to update today was
https://rocklandsholidaypark.co.ukThe conflicts started as soon as I updated the theme.
I am currently using version 4-6-1 and updated to version 4-6-5.
Due to the conflicts I restored the old version quickly so I am back on versions 4-6-1 and it is working fine again.
I think I will deactivate all the plugins, update again and see if there are still conflicts.

In forum: Virtue ThemeI am using Virtue Premium on my website http://www.dazzlemarketplace.com. The featured image is not showing up under my blog menu (blog archives). I have had my web developer fix it twice where the images show up and then they disappear. How can I permanently fix this?
Regards,
Elaine KortkampIn forum: Virtue ThemeHi There,
I have a number of websites running the Virtue Premium theme and started to update the theme to the latest version 4-6-5.
However after updating the new theme is causing a conflict effecting Kadence Slider and Site Origin Plugins which cease to function basically.
I tried a second website and got the same conficts so I preume these issues have been reported by other users, I can not find any info on the support forum.
Please advise asap.
Regards
