So I have a unique situation where the word T-Shirt is used throughout my site.
A lot of the time the word ends up near the end of a line and so it gets broken up instead of the entire word moving to the next line.
So instead of
Buy This New
T-Shirt
It will do
Buy This New T-
Shirt.
I understand using a non-breaking hyphen solves this problem as I’ve tested this (and am currently editing every product) but that is very cumbersome when you’re uploading hundreds of t-shirts with the word t-shirt in their title.
Right now instead of just typing a hyphen I have to type the HTML Entity (hex) & #x2011; or copy and paste the word with the proper non-breaking hyphen.Any thoughts? Suggestions? Thank you!

I saw today that the site is still not fully secure again when clicking either http: or https:. What other things do I need to do with Ascend demo content or something else to correct this? In blog settings>Post summary feature image, I chose no image selected. Do I need an image there for everything to be secure?

Do you know where the settings are so I can fix/edit that? I can see the previous reviews that have been left, but not the option to leave a new review.

May 31, 2018 at 8:31 pm #191840Hey,
Can you send me a login. The error with wp-image-editor means that the site is trying to build an image. usually meaning it’s trying to build a smaller sized image from one you have. If you have a really large image uploaded this can take time and could be why your are hitting your max execution time.If you send me a login I can determine what image is tripping the wp-image-editor with such a long edit.

In forum: Ascend ThemeMay 31, 2018 at 8:22 pm #191839Hi,
Yesterday after making an update to my website the site wouldn’t load up. I’d get either a 500 error or just eventually a search icon on the top left of the page. After working with my hosting company, it was determined that the theme was causing the problem. I have temporarily changed the theme to Virute and I have no issues. Switching back to Ascend the problem arises again. I’m using Ascend 1.4.9 and WordPress 4.9.6.
These are the errors encountered:
date() expects at most 2 parameters, 3 given in /home4/inspivc7/public_html/wp-content/ascend_premium/themeoptions/options.php
Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home4/inspivc7/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-image-editor-imagick.php on line 354
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
In forum: Virtue ThemeMay 31, 2018 at 6:07 pm #191832on your site the logo area you have set up is 360px wide. Your normal logo is 729px wide so it’s at a retina size. Ideally your normal logo would be 360px wide and retina 720px.
Your retina image is 1970px wide. So it’s very large.
What I’m referencing with the images is that they are different see normal: https://prachtwerk.be/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/500pxtagline-medium.png
Then retina: https://prachtwerk.be/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/pw.png
Your retina logo isn’t the same as your normal.

May 31, 2018 at 5:43 pm #191827Hey Wesley,
Please don’t post in someone else’s topic. It’s best just to create a new topic if you have a question. This question was referencing the top bar. You are not using a topbar but the header menu on your site so the script would be different.
Here is an article that should help, you want the header option:

In forum: Ascend ThemeI want to use this plug in for the Ascend theme/Mtns are Calling Demo content at http://www.rcstone.celebratingyourjourney.com. It has worked well on your Virtue Premium with other sites. I have their Pro license for multiple sites. What do you think?

Thanks Kevin. My client just told me they want the store on the website. Where do I go to activate Woocommerce? Don’t remember. Sorry.
Yes, I have done several MailChimp set ups and pretty much know what to do if the client wants it linked to the website, not facebook.
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Choosing a Demo content
Yes, you can configure the Kadence Slider however you like.
No, the purchase link is a part of the menu that redirects you to Kadence Theme’s website to purchase the theme and is not controlled by WooCommerce at all. You would want to remove that from your header when building your site.
I don’t know anything about running a store with facebook, so you’ll have to determine the best approach for incorporating that on your site based on your client’s needs. MailChimp can easily be incorporated with WordPress. If I recall correctly, you have already done this on some of your previous projects. The process will be the same so you should be able to refer to your previous topics about mailchimp to set this up.

Thanks Kevin. I assume I could do the same if I uploaded the Video Portfolio one and wanted to use an image instead, right? It also seems the Video demo content seems to have a “purchase” link. So I assume Woocommerce would be needed for that one as well, right?
The thing is my client has been using Facebook up to this time, including a FB store and mailchimp signups. Not certain how or if these could be interfaced with the website, or not. It just may be an easier route to keep the FB store going until the website is up and running for a while. Then decide whether to move the store to the website and close down the FB store. Not certain client will want to do that since he says he gets sales from there. And his history with having someone create a website hasn’t been very positive until now. He likes how I work and has a higher level of trust I guess at the gate from our many conversations.
PS I also assume if I need to change the demo content later I can and everything will still be there?

May 31, 2018 at 2:53 pm #191790Updated to iOS 11.4. No change. Tried editing a post on a different WordPress site. Same problem. Once I highlight text or make any changes, I can no longer scroll the screen. Refreshing the page releases it, but also unhighlights my text or undoes the change.
Not sure where to go from here. If you guys can’t replicate the problem, I’m not sure you can help me fix it, right? I can try working through my plugins again…

I wanted to see if Better Search Replace worked. So, I uninstalled the other plugin. Installed/Activated and ran BSReplace. Attached are two images: BSR results-Dry Run and Browser-notSecure. I then unchecked dry run and clicked to search/replace. It changed the url and site address to https: and also there were 4 cells needing update, which I assume were updated. I then deactivated BSR.
Yet, when I go into browser and simply type rcstone.celebratingyourjourney.com it comes up not fully secure (see NotSecure image). Any ideas?
