Hi, I checked a lot of forum topics but can’t see if the following customization are possible on my website where I use Virtue:
> On the portfolio grid page, make the title of each post to display center & below the featured image rather than appear when hover over
> Increase the space/padding around the featured images on the Portfolio grid page
> Is there a possibility to add a frame 1pt around a some featured image?

If the header is static is all ok, but when i setup a sticky header on mobile i have a blank space between header and slider.

Something strange it’s Happening to my site. I built it whith site origin page builder but I don’t really understand what could be the issue. It seems that the browser can’t find the page but the URL is correct.
I link few images of the issue and hope someone can help me.

is there a way to get video to play in sliders on mobile?

Not really, not how you want, and the reason is mobile browsers don’t support autoplay. This is because of data restrictions. There is some new stuff browsers are starting to support for this so someday it will be possible but right now autoplay doesn’t work for mobile. Thus the background video will not work and so it resorts to showing the image on mobile and not the video. (this also makes sense when you consider that a background video is meant to be a background to some text button content and so to save speed for mobile loading an image makes more sense anyway. So for most purposes of a background video the results work as most want. For your video, unfortunately, it doesn’t.)

If yes, will autoplay work?

so to be clear about this no, it won’t although there are some changes lately in mobile browsers that seems like this could be a possibility at some point. (although even then because of internet speeds I’m not sure I would ever recommend it).

If you need the content of the video then I would simply suggest adding the video as a video and not as a slider. You can still size it however you like and on mobile, it will just require the user click to play it.

does it work better to use embedded videos (youtube) or upload files locally to WordPress library

This depends mostly on how large your video is. If you have compressed your video below 12mb then hosting it locally is fine and can be a little cleaner visually to play. So for background loops, I suggest locally just make sure it’s compressed below 12mb.

For everything else, I strongly suggest using a video site like youtube or vimeo. Their compression is better and playback is better and it’s not running your server and taking up space on your server.

Hey,
Adding a print is something you can pretty easily do with a plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/print-o-matic/

That would allow you to just target the post in the print output and you can use print specific css styling to make adjustments like remove images.

In terms of making a post into a PDF I’m not aware of a p[lugin that can automate that for you. But you can check out a site like this to make some PDFs https://www.printfriendly.com/

Hi Kadance team,

I know this question is super 1996, but I have a client whose website is geared toward an older audience, and one of her customers asked if it would be possible to put a “print” button on the blogs / pages…

I was thinking it could be a simple icon at the bottom of the page that you click and a PDF pops up – possibly stripped of images.

Is this a feature that Kadence Themes can offer, and/or do you know a plugin that can help us do this?

The theme should work fine with php 7.1. What is the current version of the theme that you’re using? Are all of your plugins and wordpress also up to date?

Can you please share a link to your site so I can see if there’s anything apparently wrong?

Be sure that you’re adding html to the “text” tab of the editor, and not the “visual” side. I just tested and it works on my site.

I thought I had fixed this once before but all the code I have seems to not work, i’m probably just doing something stupid and would really appreciate your help.

I want to keep the desktop menu view still showing on iPad landscape and portrait and no matter what I do I still see the hamburger navigation on the iPad. The site in question is enzoswindsor.co.uk and I just want to suppress the hamburger view and keep the primary menu showing just like in the desktop view.

Can you help?

Michele, Sorry to hear you’ve spent so much time. And to hear about your health. I hope and pray you get breakthrough.

In terms of the menu this is caused by a conflict with another plugin. But that issue of a conflict was fixed years ago so I think you might be using a very old version of the theme.

The current version is 4.5.2 but from what I can see you might be using 2.6.6

So you just need to update and since you are so far back you will likely need to follow this tutorial since you won’t be able to do it inside WordPress any longer.
