In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Weird Search Issue
Correct that it is Virtue, not Ascend. Sorry, I forgot that’s on older one.
I tested with the parent them, and with the caching plugin off. Neither made any difference. The child theme is currently back on, and the caching plugin has been temporarily deactivated.
A second, perhaps unrelated issue has cropped up. This issue only happens on the child theme, but started suddenly for no apparent reason. The mobile menu is showing up on the full scale site, along with the main menu. I’ve asked my developer to look at the child theme to see if he sees anything there, but if you have any clues about this please let me know.

Hi Ben,
Thanks, after some further thought an issue / conflict in the CSS was also my thoughts. My confusion is this whole issue only started yesterday but the website has been live for months using the exact CSS without any trouble at all.
I’ll have another look through the CSS to try to see if I can find the issue. Half the problem is Woocommerce won’t advise on how to customise the calendar colours other than this page: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-bookings-calendar-css-style-elements/ but it doesn’t cover everything.
Thanks again,

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
here’s something I see with Virtue Premium (vanilla, no child theme). But it does work correctly with Storefront. I disabled all plugins except WooCommcere, Polylang and Polylang for WooCommerce.
I noticed that our logo at the frontpage (home) does not link to /de/ but to /de (no trailing slash). I am not sure if this was already the case before we upgraded 3 days ago.
So when you click on the logo the browser loads /de first, gets a 301, and then load /de/. Of course, it would be better if /de/ (trailing slash) would be the link in the first place so that there’s no redirect.
Here’s a screenshot:
*Login to see linkI think this is an incompatibility related to Polylang. Since it is working correct with Storefront I think that Virtue might be doing something strange here.
Same for the english site under /en/ (startpage is linked as /en )

April 17, 2018 at 10:37 am #187631Hey,
You are loading stripe payment but you don’t have https as default for your site? That won’t work, because strip requires https. So if you go here: https://www.fromfarmtoyarn.com/product/2-ply-alpaca-and-merino-wool-yarn-glacier/
That works and images show because it’s loading through https.
Likely you just need to talk with your host and make sure they set up https as default in the configuration as well as redirect all traffic to https urls.

April 17, 2018 at 10:14 am #187622Hey,
Just to be clear you are allowed to use your license for your clients under our licensing policy.Let me know if something comes up further. Once you get the site configured to use https though it will all work.

April 17, 2018 at 8:33 am #187611Thank you Kevin,
In fact I want to give choice to customers when they hover each product. So I need for that to display 2 buttons :
left button : see more(just an icon, no text to see page product) and right button : icon + add to cart(this one is already done)
site : https://vapeursetsaveurs.com/
theme : Ascend
Is it better explained ?In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Insert button is not working.

Hi Ben
Thanks. Long story short, there is nothing in the child theme. In the process of locating the issue, Woocommerece asked med to test this in the functions.php – and it worked.
// It’s not quite clear why this is conflicting on your site though. The following guide explains how this can be disabled: https://nicola.blog/2016/01/27/remove-the-password-strength-meter-on-the-checkout-page/
Would you be able to try temporarily disabling the password strength meter to see if that helps. It’s not recommended to leave this disabled, but if it works without it then at least we will know where to look further. //
I usually don’t use the child theme, but I installed it to work in the functions.php file. I deleted the content afwards.
Then I switched themes, at described above, and the button worked.
To my knowledge, I’m not adding or editing anything. I always ask for your assistance and use the custom css box in advanced settings.
I hope this helps.
Best, Susanne

April 16, 2018 at 9:38 pm #187577Hey Solace,
Yep, the firewall will scan if the code looks like it could be dangerous it won’t let you post so you have to use a code-sharing site. There is no theme code for this as the theme doesn’t need one. But it’s very lite and simple js. Your code would work fine, and you don’t even need to hook it in you can just paste the javascript into the footer scripts in your theme options. So that is what I would recommend you do.
