In forum: Virtue Theme
Hi
I use Virtue Galleries on my site to display images of my products (see http://www.bryhercampsite.co.uk/belltents)
However, I’ve noticed that the images do not show up in my SEO report or in my XML sitemap, meaning they will not be indexed by search engines. As images are one of the key things that affect your SEO, I’m concerned that the lack of images is harming my SEO.
Why are my Virtue Gallery images not showing up? Is there a way to make them show up? I also use the Yoast SEO plugin, and that reports that there are no images on many of my pages, even though I have a Virtue Gallery of 20+ images
Thanks in advance!
In forum: Virtue ThemeHelp Please! I updated the PHP on my site and now my site is coming up with the following fatal error:

For our website, we have WMPL integrated for a secondary language (Chinese). I was wondering if there’s a way to display the order of the language that the user will select and not the language selected.
For eg (*Login to see link for our navigation menu, we have a bar for language selection. The language (flag and language) displayed will dictate the language the current web page is showing however, the ask from the client is to be able to show the to-be language (if the user wants to select the Chinese language but is on the English version of the page, the icon should display the Chinese flag and word.
I’m not sure if the support covers this but thought I’d ask in case someone else has ran into the same problem/inquiry.

March 12, 2018 at 1:35 pm #182923Since we are replacing and just adjusting the theme how quick do you think you can do that?
If you have content then it would only take minutes.
You can always put your site in Maintainance mode with a plugin as well.
If you want the subscribe form then you need to have a mailchimp account and install and activate this pluign: https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/
Or you need some other form plugin depending on where you want the subscribers to end up.
You don’t have images assigned to your categories so what images are you wanting on the home page for the category boxes?
In forum: Virtue ThemeMarch 12, 2018 at 1:31 pm #182922Hi Kadence Support,
I was wondering if there’s a way to fix the ratio of the width/height for the logo on the virtue premium theme. Currently, for our website (*Login to see link the logo seems to be a bit bigger than the rest of the nav menu. We can certainly adjust the font for the nav menu however, the client likes it the way it is so we’ve been asked to see if we can adjust the logo.
On the theme option, there doesn’t seem to be a selection so I was wondering if you have any insights as to how we can perform that. We can’t really set the width/height as the template is responsive so I’m not sure how to proceed from here.
Thanks,
Ben.In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Ascend Online Shop Demo
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Moving Website from One Host to another & License
Hey,
If you’re concerned that they’re going to take your license, Ben should be able to generate a new one for you once the site is transferred. If you want to try to transfer your site yourself, I wrote up this guide that covers site transfer:
https://www.kadencewp.com/local-development-and-site-migration-with-flywheel-local/You can ignore the part of the post about local development and skip to the migration area. Let me know what you decide.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
I need to move my Website (www.starshiptrooper.co.uk) from its current webhost to another, but I’m concerned that once I hand over my logins the Licence details may be used by the person I’m asking to move the website for their own purposes, I would move it myself, but I’m quite new to that aspect, please advise. thank you.

March 12, 2018 at 11:57 am #182896ok, lets talk about this page for example: https://wisconsin-websites.com/about-me/
Click on the edit for that page then click on the top editor widget in page builder and click the “text” tab.
Notice how you have forced a font size inline styling to be 18px.
That is overriding your theme options. You shouldn’t use inline styling to set font sizes.
If your not sure how that got there then it means you are likely pasting in text from another source like Microsoft word for example. When you paste content into the visual editor in WordPress it attempts to keep your styling from the source. This could cause all the inline font size you have.
Because of this anytime you paste into wordpress you should paste into the text tab of your editor, not the visual tab and that will drop in a clean paste of your text and not pull in all the inline styling.
Does that make sense?

March 12, 2018 at 10:02 am #182878Let me just point out a few more so you get the picture. On your live site what will replace the images and text for “hoodies” “tshirts” and “music albums”.
Do you have those images and the text and the links already decided?

March 12, 2018 at 10:00 am #182877Hey,
The only way to do this is to activate the Ascend theme on your live site then just set the theme options to get the layout of the online shop demo. You can’t import demo content so you need to build your own content on your live site in place of what is shown in the demo. For example on the Shop demo site there is a slider.You need to have your own slider take that place, if you don’t want your own slider then you need to remake one that matches whatever you want for this site.
On the demo, there is a section for testimonials. On your live site do you have this? Have you added testimonial posts? If not you need to add that real content. Don’t need to add it to any page just make sure it’s there. Then once you have the content to fill out the site with the style from the shop demo all you have to do it activate ascend and change the theme options to match that. That is something I can even do for you if you send a login but I can’t build the real content for you. you need to add the real testimonials and decide which slider you want to use etc.
Does that make sense?
Ben

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Cannot change px size
Theme Options – Typography – Body Font Options – Body Font – Font Size
Can only set size up to 18px and view it on Inspect. Cannot set to any other font size.
Am trying to set font-size to 20 but Inspect will only reflect 18 px.
Entire custom css:
/* Removes any border around links. */
a {
border: none !important;
}/* visited link color set in Basic Styling. */
.cmn-t-translate-bshadow
{
/* color: #741109; */
font-style:italic;
font-weight: 700;
}/* This colors links blue and re-sizes it on hover which causes the link to shrink/shift in size so the link is noticeable when hovering over it. */
.cmn-t-translate-bshadow:hover
{
color: black;
font-weight: 500;
}/* center footer column 3 */
@media (max-width: 992px) {
.footerclass .kadence_social_widget, .footercol3 {
text-align: center;
}
}I do not see font-size set to 18px important!

March 12, 2018 at 9:04 am #182858hi, you are right…it’s redundant…because i want the exact same thing … show some products in a row… but the problem is the web will go to a client who doesn’t want to use shortcodes…only site origin widgets… so thats why i wanted to use the other plugin…
i installed your WooTemplates but it seems you don’t have a widget to display a category on a row… like a carousel…i mean…
but, i think my client will understand and he will use the shortcode….
thank you very much Kevin!

I’m not sure how to do that. If no one else is having the problem it must be me! I’ll give it another go through the wordpress site and see what happens. If I get the same problem I will look into manually updating.
Just tried it and it has gone through sucessfully 🙂
Thanks for your help

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Home page header content
I like a lot the tweak for the home page header content from the demo: “mountains are calling” where that text appears like someone is writting and deleting it
I would like to know if its possible to do something like that on a Kadence Slider.
Now in my site i use a Kadence Slider as home page header with 2 boxes (like the “best burgers in town demo”) and i would like to get same effect with the sentence
