I have a problem with my site and “Page not found” errors, I have isolated one. which is when you are in the Cart page and you click on the Shop button in the Menu you will receive the error every time, but then you can refresh and it will work mostly.
I have not received the error from clicking the “Shop” button in the menu from the Main Page only form the Cart page.
I have deleted the Shop page and created it again with the default permalink and still receive the same error. Also attempted using Firefox ESR instead of my usual Chromium browser.
I figured out the issue, relates to an update in pagebuilder and how it loads the page. I updated on your site and will include in the theme update.
In terms of adding text above the math you can use this css:

only happens when the “MyWorks Woo Sync for QuickBooks Desktop” plugin is active.
^ that is the clearest way to know it’s not a theme issue.
Kevin is likely right in that your server may not have enough resources to run through all the checks WP 4.9 does to see if your edits would break the site or not. Or it could just be that plugin since it works when it’s not active.
But either way, it is best to use FTP regardless if you’re editing a lot. Although I see the desire for quick access through the wp editor.
Since I can tell you that I can make edits with the theme in the editor you could contact the plugin support for that plugin and check to see if they can release an update or if they don’t have problems then you would need to see about increasing the resources in your php settings.

Hey, so Shopify is totally different platform than WordPress. I bet they have some tutorials if you go to Shopify’s site or support but I wanted to make that clear since Kevin linked to importing into Woocommerce which is what you would use in WordPress but different from Shopify.

In your settings > general do you have Site Title added to your site?
The publisher would be like the Organization and your logo would show and the name of your site. When I look at the code the name of your site is empty.

Hello Scott,
You really shouldn’t be editing files through the WordPress editor. FTP or SFTP is the safest way to make these changes. If you make a mistake in the editor, you can easily break your site. Most likely your server doesn’t have enough resources to allow the plugin to run and save your changes.
Also, are you using a child theme to make the edits to your theme files? If not, you need to activate a child theme on your site, and make the file changes within it. Otherwise you’ll lose all of your edits whenever you update the theme.

In general, you need to run a child theme if you are ever changing theme files, and you should avoid making changes directly to the editor.

I am receiving the following timeout error when editing functions.php via Appearance -> Editor. I can edit style.css with no issues – it is something with the functions.php. I even removed all my customization and it still fails even with an empty functions.php.
Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.
The error occurs only when saving the changes to the functions.php and only happens when the “MyWorks Woo Sync for QuickBooks Desktop” plugin is active. Disable the plugin and all works ok again.
I found this link (*Login to see link that indicates it may be a problem with the theme, and may not be the plug-in itself.
Anyone have any ideas? Thoughts?

Hi,
I was just export all the settings including plugins, pages products and theme options (done within the import / export) page from one site to another and the menus/footer wont show on the homepage.
