In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Problem with footer
October 28, 2018 at 3:37 pm #205691Hey,
You can see the footer layout here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-3/If you would like help please be specific and post links to what you are seeing as the problem.
As for removing the above footer widget area on landing page templates you can use this css:
.page-template-template-landing .above_footer_outer { display: none; }I hope that helps,
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Add image or Parralax below blog on home page
October 28, 2018 at 3:06 pm #205681Hey,
You have a couple options.
You can use the home widget area and use the “layout widget” in the home widget area to create any kind of content you want.
Or You can add latest posts and featured carousel as widgets in page builder in your normal page content and you don’t need to use the home modules.
You can click “virtue shortcodes” in a visual editor widget to add the blog posts and you can use virtue: carousel for the featured carousel. Then simply add another row and add whatever you want below those.

Hi Frank,
You should see it in your theme recommended plugins. Or you can download from here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/Hannah
In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Visual Editor Widget
Hello Hannah,
I just installed my copy of Ascend pro onto a site of mine. Unlike all the other times, the installation process was a bit different today. It didn’t give me the option to activate the Visual Editor Widget and I can’t seem to find it. I’m trying to download the restaurant demo, but to do so I need to activate Visual Editor Widget first.

You can use the home widget area then add the Layout Builder widget to create a full-width row with an image background and parallax. The home widget area can be enabled from theme options > home layout, then the widget added from Appearance > Widgets. Would that work for you?

Ben that works perfect…
Sorry… but one more bit of CSS…. I think!
Can this also be applied somehow to the ‘SIMILAR POSTS’ widget/blog option that appears at the bottom of each blog post.
Here is a post with one similar post summary … https://www.ecovanlife.com/ancient-daintree-rainforest/
Once again thanks for the help!
John 🙂

Which widget is it for the Blog. The one I tried has the post vertical and small.
Trying to get it like this. http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Add image or Parralax below blog on home page
Hey,
The parallax image is setup using page builder call to action widget. See this guide for setting that up:
https://www.kadencewp.com/using-page-builder/You can adjust the font of those titles in Theme Options> Typography Settings, h3.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Icon Menu: Change hover color
Hey,
This can be set in Theme Options> Basic Styling, primary color.
Does that work for you?
As for adding a header or title, the best way to do this would be to add via a page builder widget to your page content, rather than through the home layout.
You could use a visual editor widget to set the title, then add the icon menu below.

How would you like it to look? Your widgets are centered in the header widget area, and the logo defaults to be left aligned. You should be able to adjust your header widgets to align right, but I can also do it with CSS.
If you can specify what you want, I can update the CSS.

Thank You Hannah! Worked a treat!
One more question…. I just realised I have the same problem with RECENT POSTS WIDGET in the SIDEBAR.
The font size is way too big… again following the conent size of 24px.
Is there CSS to do the same for that widget?
Here is the Blog page with the sidebar:
Thanks in advance! 🙂

AnonymousOctober 24, 2018 at 10:58 am #205192Hi there,
I have a client who would like to have a variety of sidebar options for different pages. Right now in the widgets editor, I see space to create two sidebar variables – but what if I need four or five variables? I don’t see a way to create new widget variables (i.e. Sidebar 2, Sidebar 3, Sidebar 4) … Is there a way to do this?
Thank you!

I found the other cache at the top of the page when you open the “caching” dropdown, and then click “cache settings.” It takes you to a section labeled “endurance cache,” which when googled, pointed to bluehost. You still will probably want to go ahead and disable this “endurance cache,” as I don’t believe it’s part of wpfastest.
The CSS Hannah is referring to was found in the page builder widget attributes section. I’ve gone ahead and removed the CSS for you. Let me know if it’s displaying correctly now.
