    Hey,
    1. In terms of the footer. Go to apperance > widgets. click on the 2nd footer column widget area and remove the empty text widget.

    2. In your admin look down the menu for the “kadence slider” click on that page and edit the home slider.

    Hey,

    Your issue is caused by the widget in the 3rd footer column. There you are adding a pagebuilder widget. In the row settings for that widget you have set the row to be fullwidth… this is causing it to overflow and overlay the social widget in teh column next to it.

    I went into the apperance > widgets page. Clicked open to the layout builder widget in the 3rd footer column widget area. Clicked on teh row styles. Under the layout section I set the “Row Layout” to standard then saved.

    You can use the home widget area (which I believe you already are) and add a layout builder widget. This will give you all the page builder options.
    Hope that helps!

    In reply to: Topbar Issue

    #89401

    Hey,
    It’s not really a built in option, but here are some workarounds:

    You can go to apperance > menus. Add your phone number as a topbar menu item. Then you can add enable the topbar widget area in your theme options > topbar settings. There you can place a widget for social and a widget for search.

    Else you can do everything in the topbar widget area and make it fullwidth so you can items to either side. For that you would need css like this:

    .kad-topbar-right {
        width: 100%;
    }
    .kad-topbar-left {
        display:none;
    }

    Hi Jean-Louis,
    There isn’t a built in option for this, but what you could do is create a category page for each category by using a shortcode. So you can create a page using the sidebar page template then add this to the page content area: [product_category category="YOUR CATEGORY"]
    You can create custom sidebars from Theme Options > Misc Settings and add content from Appearance > Widgets.
    Hope that helps!

    This is accomplished through the use of a Call to Action Widget via Page Builder.

    Go into your page options, and switch to the page builder tab.

    Within that tab, add a Row.

    Within that row, find the Layout tab, and add some top and bottom padding. (probably around 40-60px)
    In that same area, set Row Layout to Full Width.

    Then go to the Design tab, and add your large image.
    Set background Image Style to Parallax.

    Add a “Call to Action” widget into that row.

    Set your text and button in the widget.

    If you want to find out how the demo site is setup, you can always use the Kadence Importer plugin and import the demo data to your site. You can find it here.

    Hopefully my instructions were easy enough for you to follow.

    Hey Jenny,
    Do you mean that you have two different categories? If so, you can use shortcodes like this: [blog_grid orderby=date items=4 columns=3 cat=photos]
    Just replace “photos” with your category. Then you can paste it into your page content area or into a text widget.
    Hope that helps!

    Place in a text widget. If you want to show in the footer then in one of your footer widget areas.

    I have an embedded audio player on the home page. If I use the menu to click through to a new page, the audio from the player cuts off, which is the desired effect. If, however, I click through to the same page using a link from the widget area, the audio from the home page continues. Can anyone help?

    Hey your link shows a site with maintenance mode? I can’t see the page?

    You also didn’t say if you were looking at the footer widget areas or not?

    I have a feeling we may be misunderstanding each other… Are you looking in your footer widget areas or are you just looking at all the widget options you have?

    If you can post a link that really would be super helpful.

    I keep dragging the widget into the inactive widget area (assuming this is how you remove it?) and nothing is happening, can you advise, cheers.

    You can place in a text widget. Like in the footer widget area. if you’re only wanting on the home page then you may want to place into the page content itself.

    ok, remove that from the widget area, That should be what you’re looking for.

    Hey Sean,
    You can do this using page builder. Create a row and set your image as the background image of the row then set the roy layout to fullwidth stretched. Just make sure you add some sort of content to the row, even if it’s a blank widget. To do this on your homepage you can either set your page as a static page (Setting > Reading) or use the home widget area (Theme Options > Home Layout) and add a Layout Builder widget from Appearance > Widgets.
    This may help with the page builder aspect- https://www.kadencewp.com/using-page-builder-virtue-premium/
    And this should help with setting up your homepage- https://www.kadencewp.com/creating-a-home-page-with-virtue/

    So on the Blog edit page, there seem to be two places I can set which sidebar to use. One is below the ‘edit page’ area. The other is at the side.

    In the below area, I can only choose ‘Primary Sidebar’. there are no other option. In the side box, I can choose from any sidebar i have set up.

    So I have chosen the sidebar I called ‘Blog’ and have set it up on the widget page to have the widgets I want there.

    But still on the Blog page, so sidebar appears.

    So, which switch do I need to flip to get it working again? 🙂

    #87815

    OK fair enough. I still cannot figure out how to add images to pinnacle carousel, I’ve watched your virtue page builder video, but it don’t say where to add lmages. All I get is a blank area where I added the widget. Thanks

    If your talking about the home page you can use the home widget area and add whatever you like there.
