Hi Ben,
Thanks for the quick reply. I’m using Beaver because I tried both it and pagebuilder when I had just the free version of your theme, and Beaver seemed to work better. Now I have 18 pages built with it, and I’d basically be re-starting my entire website to make the switch. It actually works great with Virtue, except when I’ve added my own code in order to create two columns with the gradient behind them.
Here’s the same link link. It’s about 3/4ths of the way down the page. It’s to my company’s existing site, not the one I’m creating in WordPress, so it’s just an example of what I’m trying to recreate. Not sure the link is really helpful anyway.
On mobile, I’m wanting two-drop down columns. That’s where the problem is. On mobile, the columns now appear side-by-side, but too scrunched together to be pleasantly readable.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeNovember 9, 2015 at 2:32 pm #66254Hey,
4 per row will make the images large 🙂 so since your setting for fullwidth you would choose 2 column because that is what it would be on screens like laptops and 4 columns on large desktop screens.Add this css in your theme options > advanced settings.
.kt-portfolio-shortcode { overflow: hidden; }You can’t limit the rows because it’s dependent on the content in how many items you are outputting vs columns.

November 9, 2015 at 12:55 pm #66241Hey,
Yeah using a shorcode is going to output the columns. What format are you wanting? If your wanting something like the sidebar here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/blog/
Where it says recent posts you can use the “virtue: recent posts” widget.Ben

November 9, 2015 at 11:28 am #66227Hey,
1. In the site you linked to I don’t see any “solid documentation capabilities” headline?
2. Pagebuilder has a really easy way to nest pagebuilder layouts is there a reason your using beaver?
3. On mobile are you wanting the two columns to drop one below the other or are you wanting them to stay next to each other?

Hi Guys
*Login to see linkI’m having a problem with the post formatting within the side bar:
1. the posts are showing as 2 columns2. the title is not formatting; I added the following to custom css
.sidebar h3 {
color: #f7941e;
}This may have something to do with the fact that I’ve created a column for the posts using page builder (Latest News); added short code for the blog to show in that column.
Thanks in advance-

Hi Ben,
Thanks but it does not seem to have any effect.
I added the text in the footer area using Appearance>Widgets. There are two columns, in the first column there was already a text box with some script. I wanted to paste the code here but then I’m not allowed to place the post.
I added a text box to the second column with the text you gave me but without any result. Are the scripts maybe interfering?
In forum: Virtue ThemeI would like to add a gradient behind certain sections of my page layout, as pictured here under the headline solid documentation capabilities: *Login to see link
There are three things I’m trying to accomplish at the same time:
add the gradient behind the section
give the section a 2-column layout
keep the responsiveness of the sectionI’m finding it impossible to accomplish all three at the same time. With Beaver Builder, I can drag and drop to create each part of the layout as a separate entity (headline, left column, right column). It looks great, is perfectly responsive, but because it was created in three separate sections, I can’t add the gradient as one continuous background behind the three.
When I I directly add the html/css, I can have the gradient and make everything appear correct on my computer screen. However, when it gets reduced to the screen width for mobile, the words in the two columns get all mashed together.
This is my first website, but I’ve been able to find the answers to all my other coding questions online. On Friday, I literally searched the internet for a solution to this problem for the entire day, and haven’t been able to solve it. Would really appreciate the help!

November 9, 2015 at 12:08 am #66160Hey,
A portfolio is for posts. If you only want to show an image then you don’t need the portfolio post. See here, notice how you can click on each post to take you to a post page. http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/portfolio/Vs here notice how the gallery is just a gallery and you don’t leave the page: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/wordpress-gallery/
A gallery is sorted by drag and drop. When you editing a gallery you can move the order around.
You can set whatever amount of columns you want. You don’t need any template for this you simple open any page click “add media” then click “Create gallery” There you can choose your images, order them and set the columns.
Does that make sense?

Hi Ben,
Apologies for not explaining adequately but I don’t understand the difference in purpose between a portfolio and a page.
I made a gallery in both formats but since you favoured a page over a portfolio I deleted the latter. The gallery in the page format works fine: I have captioned all the photos and want to sort them by name. I expect this is possible in Virtue Premium 3.2.9 / WordPress 4.3.1 but can’t find where to do it so please advise.
Can the photos in the gallery be displayed in 4 columns instead of 3 ? Even when 4 columns appears is selected as a page option it displays in 3 columns. I suspect I do not have the right combination of Atttributes and Templates but can’t get it right.

In forum: Virtue ThemeMy website is: http://www.utan.nu, you can see the shop at *Login to see link
When you’re on mobile you have a full width image of each product and it requires too much scrolling with the amount of products we have. Would like to have the option to have two columns instead of one.
Thanks

November 8, 2015 at 8:06 am #66061I think I’m not understanding what you are calling a portfolio gallery vs a page gallery. A gallery is a gallery in virtue and you can add one that has whatever columns you want using the “add media” button and using your page content. Can you link to both so I can better understand what you mean?
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
After creating a Virtue: Gallery, when I go to edit it (change number of columns, add/remove images, etc) the gallery will stay the same and the changes I applied wont do anything to the Gallery. Sometimes, even after deleting it from the page, it will still be displayed when I preview the page.
Is there something I can do to solve this issue?
Thanks

Ben,
Thanks for your quick reply.
I have now made a Portfolio photo gallery and a similar Page Photo Gallery: the Portfolio version displays faster than the Page version and in 4 columns (preferable) versus 3, but the Page version was easier to make.
A few questions:
1) Can 4 columns be set in the Page version to give the smaller thumbnails?
1) Is the Page version better / safer / more stable than the Portfolio version?
2) The Portfolio version has 3 icons top right corner on the same level as the page name, left arrow / 9-point keypad / right arrow. The arrows don’t change anything but the keypad is a link which takes you to Not Found / page does not exist. Can these be deleted / changed ?
3) The Page version allows the photos to be named: is there a way to sort them by name? No doubt this is possible but I can’t find the route to do it.Thanks in advance for your help

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Footer issue
Hi Hannah and Ben
How can I get the 3 elements I have in the home page footer centered ?
I used to have 4 columns. I deleted the content of the fourth one, but the column is still active. When I try to limit the footer to 3 columns ( theme options / footer ) the whole content of the footer disappears.
