When I use “add media” while creating a post – and I try to edit the image, selecting various alignment options (such as align left) nothing happens. It just seems to always wrap the test around the image. I have also tried adding extra space using the virtue shortcode but that doesn’t seem to make any difference.

I was using Page Builder but that has recently started acting up – it just seems to stop saving my changes after the first few changes (at least they don’t show up in the preview page – which makes it pretty difficult to continue working). So I have gone back to the simple text method of creating a post but now I have this alignment problem.

I have also used shortcode to create columns as a work-around but that is sometimes awkward so I would really just like to be able to align the images to the left or right.

1. Changing the size of the image in the gallery to large has no effect. I have to decrease the number of columns to increase the size of the image.

2. No matter how many columns there are, the, gallery does not extend right across the page but finishes 2/3 of the way across.

3. I wanted to try inserting a gallery shortcode from this page *Login to see link . In particular, the carousel gallery shortcode [gallery type=carousel columns=4 link="file" ids="145,146,169,147,148,184,185"]. I go into Text and replace the code for the gallery already there but this results in the gallery disappearing completely. Am I doing the right thing?

Hey Christopher,
You can either set your home page as a static page and select shop as the front page (done in Settings > Reading). Or you can use a shortcode and paste it into a text widget. Something like this:
[recent_products per_page="12" columns="4"]

Those are only used if your not using the theme image crop. Which you can turn on and off in the theme options > shop settings.

The sizes would also totally depend what what settings your choosing if you didn’t want to use the theme crop. So how many columns is your shop page. are you using a sidebar. What is your layout for the single product page. Are you using a sidebar there?

Hey, you can use a shortcode and just paste into a text widget and place that in the home widget area. Something like this:
[portfolio_posts orderby=date excerpt=false columns=4 items=30 height=200 lightbox=true showtypes=true]

Hey Hannah,

I have switched to the Dropdown menu and added my pages, and it looks good. But I have one problem. It would look better if the dropdown menu displays three column side-by-side, but right now it displays only two column with two submenus on one side and the long submenu on the other.

I can’t find a configuration panel to have it display three columns.

There isn’t a setting for this, It’s only designed for one sidebar but you can use pagebuilder and make your content area two columns. then place widgets like you would in a sidebar on the left column.

Hi,
I have a problem with the short code [blog_grid columns=”3″ items=”8″]

I try to use it in a widget text in “Page Builder” on this page: http://www.sitevs.16mb.com/fr/post_grid_problem/
In fact this short code display some posts but they are invisible (you can notice the presence of the posts by selecting all the page).

Is there a way to correct this problem ?

ok, well step one would be to add your video through the theme shortcodes. Use the virtue shortcode button and add through the Vimeo option. That will make the video responsive.

as for when you get your screen size down to tablet the columns are supposed to switch into rows, is that what you don’t what? You want two columns on mobile?
