I’m editing the cart page now and there are two things worth mentioning:

    – I had to style it like WooCommerce’s default setting (cart summary and totals stacked verically, totals floating to the right) because of the theme’s incompatibility with the Smart Coupons plugin (from the official WooCommerce store). It inserts an element above the summary that misaligns it with the cart, vertically. This isn’t necessarily a huge problem. Given that I just changed the layout with CSS to default WooCommerce one. But I could see this being an issue with more plugins that show notifications on the cart page.

    – More importantly, though. I’m not sure if this is a bug or whether I’m missing something as it relates to how cross-sells are displayed. But it only displays them as 1 column. With a huge image. Taking up the entire lower part of the cart page. I tried to see if adding more cross sells to a product would decrease the width of the archive item/image, by adding more in the same row. But it actually just inceased the number of columns, not rows.

    – – What’s certainly a bug though, is that it display cross sells not only below the cart totals, but also above them, albeit smaller, when I’m in my page builder. It displays fine in the front end though.

Let’s say if we select 3 columns layout, and we have 4 posts on the last page,

how can we center align the last post (on second row) any CSS code???

What about a row with 2 columns?

Hi! I have a page set up with site origin page builder, and now I realize that a part of the page I would like to have collapsable. Is there a way to add an accordion block and then drag parts of this page into it? Or do I need add an accordion block and add everything new to the block. Also, the page is set in columns. Do I make a row with columns and add the Accordion block, or just make a single column, add the block, and then just worry about making columns within that block.

    Thanks!

    Hi,
Well, in that case, what will be the point to create a custom blog page if ultimately we will fall on the default blog archive page!

As you know, we do not have enough options to customize the archives except to change the number of columns or to change the Image Placement to Top or Left.

This is the reason, I want to use a custom blog page instead of the default one, where I have more control over customizing the design with the help of Kadence Block.

Please advise, if there is any way to keep the custom archive page separate from the default archive page.

That’s so odd, I think sometimes i get dizzy, I can’t recreate this on a simple page with paragraphs in columns. It’s not important but I think the carousel may be adding some space there or some sort of illusion from somewhere else as from what I can gather, it only has a 25px top padding so the gap should only be 25px and not 70px. Feel free to mark as completed if you don’t want to look into this as i can work out the spacing by compensating for the additional unexplained space there.

    Thanks Guys and gals 🙂

    Hi,

I am hoping you can help me with a few things.

    Custom Post Types

I am using Pods to create CPT. I am trying to edit the Archive page template but am having a few issues.

I have created this search archive template using the Search and Filter Results page – link is in the next email. I would like to try and get the Home Design CPT Archive page to display like this.

On the Home Design Archive page I need to:

    1. Change the Read More text to View Home Design
    2. I am trying to show the Category but for some reason even though I have it turned on in the Meta it is not returning a value. All the other meta works just not the category. I had to add some code in the functions to get each of the Home Design Category pages to populate so not sure if that needs to be edited for this?
    3. To display the 4 icons and text I have created an element and then put the shortcode into the excerpt. Is there a better way to do this can I use an existing hook for this so I don’t need to add it into all the home design excerpts? I am not that crash hot on creating archive post templates through pods so I am trying to get things to work as best I can.

    Header

The client would like the header to have two nav bars underneath each other.

There are other sites where I have found this would be useful if the logo could merge all 3 rows of the first column and then the other columns stay as normal. Kind of like in the footer how you have the Column Direction I think that would be great to have in the header as well.

I have the two nav bars under each other with a top margin at -20px but it’s not really sitting right. Any ideas on how I can get this to sit a bit better?

    Thanks for your time.

    Kind Regards Mel

    Hey,
The archive pages won’t take on the design from your single block. You need to customize the design of the archives which can be done from Customize > Blog Posts > Archive Layout > General and there you can set the Post Archive Columns.
    I hope this is helpful!

    Hi Mark,
    Thanks for reaching out!
Sorry, there isn’t a built-in way to do this. Because your posts are showing in columns, there is already a three-column layout designated for that last row. Does that make sense?
Let me know how I can help further!

    Best,
    Hannah

    Topic: sticky post

    #260512

    Hi,

I have a problem with posts number appearing on the home page. After making one of my old post a “sticky post” (with default Gutenberg setting) it has appeared on the main page as it should, but now there are 4 posts there. There should be only 3, beacuse I have decided to have only 3 posts in 3 columns in Theme options > Home page. Could you please take a look whether “sticky post” breaks sth in theme settings?

    #260507

I’m trying to make sense of all the different breakpoints across the theme and the blocks. I’d like things to respond at the same rate, but certain things seem to have different breakpoints. Do you have a list of all the different breakpoints used throughout the theme and blocks? Additionally, will there be any work done to try to make them all consistent, or at least give us controls to set them?

Ideally they would all follow a consistent pattern so, for example, when you hit a certain breakpoint, everything happens at once. Right now, the row columns adjust at 1024, but the post grid seems to adjust at 992, so there’s a 32px gap where things don’t line up.

Here are a few examples of what I’m talking about. The breakpoint numbers problaby aren’t exact, but close enough to illustrate what I’m talking about.

Breakpoints for Kadence Blocks such as post grid, gallery, portfolio, etc…
    < 543
    544-767
    768-991
    992-1199
    1200-1499
    1500 >

Breakpoints for Kadence Blocks such as row/columns, form columns, and Desktop/Tablet/Mobile settings
    < 767
    768-1024
    1024 >

Breakpoints for Kadence Theme archive layout (3 column example)
Less than 576 – single column archive list
576-1024 – two colums archive list
767-1024 – post item padding changes
1025 > three columns archive list

Hope this all makes sense… thanks!

    Hi Robert,
Sorry for missing your previous requests. It’s a bit confusing when they are all bunched together. Separating your questions with numbers or even creating new threads for each question is super helpful.
Kadence Theme is designed pretty differently from our other themes. It does not include many of the widgets you’ll find in our classic themes because they are made up for in Kadence Blocks. The Image Overlay block replaces the Image Menu Item widget, and the Testimonials block replaces the Testimonial widget.
When adding several columns to one row, you can use the Row Layout block which allows you to adjust the column gutter (spacing in between columns).
The Image Overlay Color can be set in The Hover Overlay Settings tab in the image overlay block settings.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a built-in function for transferring testimonials from Ascend to Kadence. Unless you have created a custom post type? I’ll have the developer confirm this.

    Hope this is helpful!

Another issue is that the logos in the columns are super small on Mac and on tablet.

    #260428

    Hey Michael,
One option would be to create new pages for each product archive and set them up via shortcode like this:
    [products limit="8" columns="4" category="hoodies"]
    Would this work for you?

    Regards,
    Hannah

    Hi,

I create 2 layout rows, each with 2 columns and each column has a simple Info Box block in it. The second layout row was copy/pasted from the first, however the Info Box title layouts in the second identical Row Layout block and going a little haywire, can you please advise?

    thanks

    #260366

    Hi Mike,
Sorry for the delay! There isn’t a built-in way to make this less than 3000, but you can use a shortcode to output your slider and set it that way. The shortcode would look like this:
    [gallery ids="20,21,22,23" type="carousel" columns="3" lightboxsize="large" speed="2000"]
Or, if you’re using Kadence Blocks you can use the Advanced Gallery block. https://www.kadenceblocks.com/custom-blocks/advanced-gallery/
    Hope that’s helpful!

    Best,
    Hannah

    Hey Dave,
I didn’t add a row to your page. You don’t need two columns to add two blocks into a row so everything you are saying about padding, full width etc is still true you can do all that by nesting all your items into one row and not two columns in one row.

    Hi

I’d like to override the default site-wide column settings for Woocommerce’s product archive pages.

I basically need to set specific product column numbers for each product archive category page.

    for example:
socks product archive page: 4 columns
trousers product archive page: 5 columns
    etc.

    is this possible?

    #260309

    Hello!

Is it possible to expand the amount of blog posts shown on home page? Right now the maximum is set to 8 total divided into 2 columns.

    Thank you!
