    Hey,
    Sorry, sounds like Hannah misunderstood.

    the default gutter setting doesn’t override what you define in your row.

    Your issue is a bug based on this setting: https://share.getcloudapp.com/WnurPgmk

    It’s just not common to setup a page that way so hasn’t been something we’ve seen or others reported but it’s a bug in that it’s ignoring the gutter setting because the layout is vertical columns.

    I’ve put this on my list to fix. In the meantime I’ve just changed your container row to be a single column so that this is removed.

    Hi,

    On this site, I am using a post grid/carousel to display 2 staff posts in a single column. I have used css to reduce the image to a circular shape 260px diameter.

    html.js.js-running body.page-template.page-template-page-fullwidth.page-template-page-fullwidth-php.page.page-id-55.logged-in.admin-bar.wp-embed-responsive.kt-showsub-indicator.notsticky.virtue-skin-default.wide.about-us.customize-support div#wrapper.container div.wrap.clearfix.contentclass.hfeed div#content.container.container-fullwidth div.row div#ktmain.main.col-md-12 div.entry-content div.wp-block-kadence-rowlayout.alignfull div#kt-layout-id_7b62d6-9a.kt-row-layout-inner.kt-layout-id_7b62d6-9a div.kt-row-column-wrap.kt-has-1-columns.kt-gutter-default.kt-v-gutter-default.kt-row-valign-top.kt-row-layout-equal.kt-tab-layout-inherit.kt-m-colapse-left-to-right.kt-mobile-layout-row div.wp-block-kadence-column.inner-column-1.kadence-column_4ac418-1a div.kt-inside-inner-col div.wp-block-kadence-postgrid.kt-blocks-post-loop-block.alignnone.kt-post-loop_1fc8e4-79.kt-post-grid-layout-grid div.kt-post-grid-wrap.kt-post-grid-layout-grid-wrap article.kt-blocks-post-grid-item div.kt-blocks-post-grid-item-inner-wrap.kt-feat-image-align-left.kt-feat-image-mobile-align-top div.kadence-post-image div.kadence-post-image-intrisic.kt-image-ratio-100 div.kadence-post-image-inner-intrisic a img.attachment-large.size-large.wp-post-image {
    max-height: 260px; max-width: 260px; border-radius: 50%; object-fit: cover; object-position: 50% 0;
    }

    When the screenwidth gets below 768px, the gap between the image and the excerpt is too big and the image is left-aligned:

    Please could you help with better css to format the picture so that we get this sort of display:

    Many thanks,
    Phil.

    Hi,

    On a development site, I’ve used an info box to show an image and some text like this:

    I tried setting up staff and using a post/grid carousel but that doesn’t let you place the image on the right. I have also tried “Split Content” as that does let you pick a side fgor the image, but it doesn’t give you text formatting.

    So with the info box, it looks great at desktop width, but on a phone screenwidth, we loose clarity becasue the columns do not reform responsively:

    Please could you help with some CSS to improve the mobile display to look like this example?

    Very many thanks,
    Phil.

    Hi,
    I am using a post/grid carousel to display 2 testimonial posts.

    I want to craft a display that looks like this image:

    I have tried setting the image size using :
    .testimonial-grid img.wp-post-image {
    width: 100px;
    height: 130px;
    border-radius: 50%;
    }

    …but I end up with a huge gap before the text:

    Please could you help with the following:
    1. Correct method for setting image size.
    2. Reduce gap before text.
    3. Add a vertical divider between the 2 columns.
    4. Add quote marks before and after the image (see screenshot above).

    Very many thanks,
    Phil.

    There seems to be a problem with the image overlay block in the Kadence theme. I have a row with 6 columns and 6 different image overlay inserts into each cell. Trying to add a url to the title, seems to work at first, but when I save it and reload, it says there is a problem and forces me to resolve it. “Converting” it doesn’t work. When I look at block options available the only one is “classic”. When I convert to classic, it works and keeps the url.

    Here is another difference from the Ascend:Image Menu Item widget, I can add a url to the entire image/text. So when you hover anywhere over the cell, it shows what the url is and the “hand” appears. But the text colors stay what they are. With the Image Overlay block, you can only add a url to text, in this case either the title of subtitle. The text changes to blue, which I don’t want. Also it appears to have a bug in it.

    I did find the hover overlay color, but I can’t find the default and change it so I don’t have to keep changing each time I add one of these blocks (image overlay). So it seems there is a system wide default to orange with 60% opacity and I would like to change it to my color scheme. /Bob DeCloss

    Hi Hannah and thanks for your reply.

    Well in my home page settings I am displaying blog posts, and in the Home Blog Settings the only options are how many posts, how many columns and excerpt length. In that section there is nothing to suggest that blog posts on the home page can be anything but snippets.

    In Blog Options (which I think you are referring to) I have “Blog Category/Archive Defaults” set to display Full Post in the “Category Display Type” but that doesn’t seem to affect the home page, and based on the above I don’t think I would expect it to.

    I can’t help but feel it can’t be done, but if it can somehow it would make me very happy 🙂

    Kind regards
    Steve

    Hi Robin,
    How are you adding your columns? Are you using the Row Layout block? If so, you that allows you to assign different column layouts for desktop and mobile. Can you post a link so I can see how you’re setting things up?
    Thanks!

    Hannah

    Hi again,
    I’ve discovered what I think might be a bug in the row layout set to 3 columns. If you have 3 columns across for desktop and then have it set to 2 on top and 1 on the bottom for tablet, the 30px gutter margin remains on the right of the second column which makes it look really weird. I can sort it out with a media query and some css but I don’t think it’s what you intended it to do?

    Screenshot attached and link in the next private post.

    Hi There,
    Is there a way to pinpoint which column to remove when reducing number of columns? Or if not, can I transfer content of one column to another somehow? I have a situation where my right hand column has all the content, but reducing number of columns takes that one out. I’d rather lose the left hand column. And I don’t see any way to duplicate or move content to another column.

    Hello, thank you for your reply,

    I’m sorry Hannah, but increasing the number of columns of thumbnails does not change anything – I have 10 photos and set 10 columns for thumbnails:
    https://bwa.walbrzych.pl/artysta/henryk-albin-tomaszewski/

    It’s still the same, which is the lack of galleries. The number of columns of thumbnails does not matter, because if the photos are less than 6 then I can set any number of thumbnails and it always works correctly

    Best Regards
    JG

    Hi Jarek,
    Thanks for reaching out and apologies for the delay! In the Advanced Gallery Block settings you should see the option to set the number of columns for your thumbnails. See here:

    Does that work for you?

    Hi,

    1. Customizer > woocommerce > product catalog. Scroll down and set “Mobile Columns Layout”

    2. Customizer > woocommerce > product catalog. “Button Style”

    In order to force all your buttons to the bottom you would need to set a minium height for your product titles. For this you would need custom css, I can help with that if you post a link. (Please always send a link).

    3. I need a link to your site so I can see what is effecting your social links, the screenshot doesn’t show mean which social icons you’ve enabled.

    4. In your page settings under the title you can enable or disable meta. By default it’s disabled, your screenshot looks like you’ve enabled it.

    This is sorted now, Hannah.

    In order to use the nav menu widget, it is necessary for that row to be defined as a footer widget area.
    So I need the “Four Column” layout for the Footer widget.
    But this means anything below that row needs to be defined in “Misc Settings > Footer Copyright Text”
    It also means that the “reusable blocks extended” can only be added as a shortcode in “Footer > Sitewide Footer Shortcode”
    So the final setup is:

    *****************************************************************
    * "Reusable blocks extended" containing 2 rows set to fullwidth *
    * With appropriate image/transparent backgrounds.               *
    * Added as "Sitewide Footer Shortcode" *
    * ------------------------------------------------------------- *
    * Footer widget set to "4 columns" containing 4 widgets *
    * ------------------------------------------------------------- *
    * Footer Copyright text set to 2 columns in html. *
    *****************************************************************

    Thanks for your help,
    Phil.

    Hello Hannah!

    I choose shortcode:
    [blog_posts items=”12″ columns=”3″ type=”photo” orderby=”date” cat=”referencia”]

    Is there a way to define, how many pages to show at once? So 1. page, 2nd page, 3rd page, etc..

    Thanks,
    Anita

    Hey Dave,
    I recommend creating a row layout with 4 columns and adding info box blocks to each column. You can create and then duplicate your info box bock so the general set up is the same. Would this work for you?

    Best,
    Hannah
