In forum: Kadence BlocksSeptember 25, 2020 at 3:51 pm #257677Hey all,
This problem has been around for some time so we’re somewhat surprised it hasn’t been mentioned. Maybe it’s only in Safari? Anyway, the DOM doesn’t change when we update an existing row to add or remove columns… it doesn’t seem to matter what content is already there. Sometimes, we can get it to update by moving the row to a different part of the page or nesting it in another row. The updated page doesn’t reflect the added columns, either – so it’s really not changing the html structure. Here’s a picture of the problem:
We use Kadence Blocks on many sites and the problem occurs regardless of themes and plugins. It’s not a huge deal because we can just add a new row and move everything. It’s more of a nuisance than anything.
I believe this issue first appeared with WordPress 5.3 (or whichever version added the block library on the left side).
Technical:
Wordpress 5.5.1
Kadence Pro Theme (or) Genesis (or) Astra
Kadence Blocks Pro
— no additional third-party blocks plugins
— not using re-usable blocks
WooCommerceThanks for all the awesome work you do!

Hey Rick,
One option for this would be to use the fourth Footer Widget Layout from Theme Options > Footer (one long row on top of three colmuns). Then from Appearance > Widgets you can use something like the Row Layout block to create a row with 4 columns in footer column 1. Then you can add an image widget to the first column, and Pinnacle: Info Box widgets to the others. Just set the icon style to none. Let me know how this works for you!All the best,

In forum: Kadence BlocksSeptember 23, 2020 at 12:33 pm #257454Love this plugin – but now it cause a problem all of a sudden.
Here is a screen video of the problem: *Login to see link
I tried deactivating all plugins and the theme, reinstall both Kadence block plugins but the problem persist. The ones not working are:Advanced Header
Row Layout
Icon List
Split Content
the carousel blocks
Image overlayAll of the above produce the error when added to a page, except för Row layout, where the error occurs when you choose layout.
The rest of the blocks works as expected.
Any ideas?
Best regards

<!– /wp:kadence/iconlist –>In forum: Kadence BlocksTopic: Kadence Two Column Row Help
September 22, 2020 at 5:58 pm #257398As per my attached image, is there a way to keep the bottom of both columns even/level even if I continue to add content to text column on the left. Meaning the more content I add to the left column the lower/bigger that column gets, but also the bottom of the column on the right remains level, size wise, with the column on the left.
Hope that makes sense?.

Hey Joie,
Try adding this to your custom css:@media (max-width: 992px) { .site-footer-top-section-1.site-footer-section.footer-section-inner-items-1 { width: 50%; } .site-footer-row.site-footer-row-columns-3 { grid-template-columns: 2fr 3fr !important; } .site-middle-footer-inner-wrap.site-footer-row.site-footer-row-columns-3.site-footer-row-column-layout-equal.site-footer-row-tablet-column-layout-default.site-footer-row-mobile-column-layout-row.ft-ro-dir-row.ft-ro-collapse-normal.ft-ro-t-dir-default.ft-ro-m-dir-column.ft-ro-lstyle-plain { width: 50%; float: left; } }Is that kinda what you’re envisioning?

In forum: Kadence BlocksHi Folks,
The other day I installed the latest version of KB, v1.8.14, and then I went to work on my soon to be awesome Banff National Park hiking trail page and it now crashes the editor! 🙁
* Add Advanced Gallery
* Under the Gallery Settings: Masonry (default)
* Columns 3 (Default)
* Gutter 10 (Default)
* Thumbnail Size Large (default)
* Link To: Media File
* Link Image Size: Large
* Link Triggers? Lightbox
* Show Caption in Lightbox – ON
* Caption Settings
* Show Captions – ONAs soon as I try to turn on the “Show Captions” I get the error message: “The editor has encountered an unexpected error”.
I did not have this issue before upgrading to 1.8.14 so I am guessing something got broke.
Maybe COVID has found a way to infect code now? 🙁Cheers, Nigel

Apologies for the delay! My weekend was great, thanks for asking:)
For your product columns, I would recommend either using fewer columns or expanding the width of the column the products are in. Have you tried this?
For the sidebar, have you tried adding a Filter Products by Attribute widget? Then also a Product Tag Cloud widget?
The quick view feature is coming soon!!

September 9, 2020 at 4:10 pm #256605Thanks for the report on the columns shortcode generator. I’m reworking that for the next update.
You can add a custom menu item to your navigation using the custom link option. For the link url just add # and then label it “products” that will make it work like you want and not be clickable.
I hope that helps,
Ben

September 8, 2020 at 5:00 pm #256544Hey,
If you just want columns you can use the menu in your admin to add items and they can be broken into columns, you don’t have to hook in an element unless you want to.Can you post a link to your site so I can see the output?

September 8, 2020 at 10:50 am #256517I was working with the Stackable Advanced Columns and Grid Block. I have Stackable Pro and Kadence free theme installed, no other Gutenberg addons. I toggled on the Style Block Title option and the custom color picker did not change the text. I looked at the Chrome dev tools and saw a JavaScript error. See screenshot. I switched to the Twenty Nineteen theme and the custom color picker worked fine, so I’m reporting it here instead of to Stackable.
Thanks,
David

September 7, 2020 at 10:23 am #256453If I put every video in a new row in Page Builder, and add columns to right and left, this seems like a lot of work given that I have videos on almost every page of the website. Are there any other options?
There are but you will have to add something, code is another option.
If you edit the text widget you are adding the videos in, then in the right side click on attributes and in the CSS Declarations section add:
max-width: 600px; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto;Ben

September 7, 2020 at 8:42 am #256440Hi Hannah,
1. See attached pics – it’s the Site Origin shortcodes. When clicking “Add shortcode” it simply adds the start and end column tags. It doesn’t add 2 columns and placeholder text like it used to. The result is that no columns are atually created.
2. I have the Siteground optimiser plugin installed but not active. This has a caching option I believe.
3. I don’t have a shop page. Sorry I wasn’t very clear on this. See the picture of my existing menu. What I would like to do is move the “features” page into the sub-menu, and change the text in the main menu to something like “Product”. I don’t want to have to create an actual page called “Product”. I simply want it to exist as a logical navigation label to group actual pages under. Is this currently possible, and if not can it be developed?Thanks,
Matt -
