    Hey,
    1. Click on the text of the button in the editor and type πŸ™‚ It’s similar to if you had a button block.
    2. I suggest you place the form inside a row block, the in your row block you set the row content max-width (this is done in the structure settings).

    You can set that to say 960. Then your form will fit inside that area and you won’t be setting the field width to 80% for each field. Changing that width is more intended if you want to make two columns.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi,

    I have this theme in several sites and this is the first site to display this behaviour.
    When I try to expand any widget location I get no reaction. I also cannot drag any widgets to the widget areas.

    When I navigate to the widget area, the only one expanded is Primary sidebar – I cannot close this one or open any other ones. Its like they are not reacting to mouse interaction.
    There is data in the footer columns as well as the other widget areas as they were working previously.
    The site has been updated to latest theme version, I cannot expand the theme details either.
    I was thinking of adding a new theme, deleting Ascend and reinstalling but have so many products I don’t want to lose them or have to set up the menus again.

    regards
    Andy

    Hello,

    I’m trying to display specific blog posts with the blog posts shortcode. I’m using the code below. But with this code only the first post id is shown in the grid and all others aren’t. I checked that all post ids are correct.

    [blog_posts items=”4″ orderby=”date” type=”grid” columns=”3″ ids=”1082,1055,1237,1278″]

    Can anyone help me? What’s wrong?

    #254843

    The shortcode generator for columns doesn’t seem to be working with 5.5 I’ve put that on my list to fix.

    Hmm, ideally toolset would add a class in the header when it was controlling the archive.

    In your customizer > custom post > reviews archive layout. Can you set the columns to 1 that would let toolset control the internal columns of their grid.

    Hi Ben,

    Does 1.9.15 have the update?

    It looks like most of the shortcodes are working now except Columns.

    As far as the other issue (see screenshot). I have disabled everything except Ascend, Classic Editor and SiteOrigin. I will follow this up with login for you.

    Hi Benjamin and team!

    Thanks for the innovative and powerful theme. Been trying to revamp my site as well as use the Kadence Theme on various client projects, but the custom post type archive breaks on Kadence.

    You can see it on my staging site below

    Here’s some screenshots

    I also found that if we remove these two lines via the Chrome Inspector

    @media
    screen and (min-width: 576px).grid-sm-col-2,

    @media
    screen and (min-width: 1025px).grid-lg-col-3
    {
    grid-template-columns: repeat(2, minmax(0, 1fr));
    },
    the issue is solved.

    Would we have a way to fix the issue via the customizer or some CSS codes?

    Thanks again and appreciate your help πŸ™‚

    Hello Hannah,

    I’ve employed the Virtue:Gallery widget on this page: with three columns and mosaic options.

    For some reason, the photos are displaying all out of proportion. Could you indicate how to fix this?

    Thanks, John

    #254664

    You can update your css to this:

    #primary-menu li#menu-item-8776:hover > ul {
    display: grid;
    grid-template-columns: 50% 50%;
    }

    Since you are building your product page with elementor you need to just turn off the theme breadcrumbs (you are already adding some via elementor). In your customizer > woocommerce > single product > “Above Content Layout” set that to “nothing”

    Hi,

    I just have a general question regarding the choice between using a Kadence Block and a Native Gutenberg block. I’m wondering Is it advantageous (perhaps in site load speed or some other reason) to ONLY use Kadence Blocks on a NEEDS-ONLY basis?

    For instance, if using the Native Header block or native Columns block will get the job done, should I be selecting these in preference to Kadence Row Layout and Kadence Advanced Heading blocks?

    Thanks

    Custom menus (full width format) would be great so you can set up columns and what menus are in them, add a promo image/text far left or right, and chose icon would be great. I haven’t found a plugin that really does this well and plays nice yet.

    Structure builder for headers, footers, left/right columns which allowed gutenberg editing/blocks and set them globally or page by page.

    Maybe most importantly for me at this stage, since I’m not a power user would be power tips manual for the most common things that need custom styles or functions. I’m finding it’s not that easy to find the answers searching the forums and there are quite a few things when working with bespoke homepage designs that require a little custom css.

    Hi,
    we are creating a new website where we put in a elementor text editor widget this woocommerce shortcode:
    [products limit=”4″ columns=”4″ orderby=”id” order=”DESC” visibility=”visible”]

    PD: elementor, after paste the text shortcode, recognize the shortcode and apply the elementos way to config it showing the usual right toolbar as in the following image ….

    but the result is like the image, I mean,only 3 columns…even if in the elementor setting we have 4 cols in 2 rows…

    can you help me please?
    thanks

    Is it possible to set a random order for the Post Grid/Carousel block?
    I don’t see the option on WordPress.
    I read that’s possible using a shortcode using your themes but I have a custom theme so that shortcode doesn’t work.

    [blog_posts type=”grid” orderby=”rand” columns=”2β€³ items=”8β€³]

    Is anything I can do to make it work for a custom post type called “projects”?

    Thanks
    Mirko

    Hi Lawrence,
    Sorry, I believe I understand your issue now. Because you’re using the masonry feature there isn’t a way to align the images perfectly as they are all being shown in different ratios. If you want to continue to use the masonry effect I would suggest playing around with the number of columns to see if the images will fall in such a way that this gap at the bottom is not as large. You could also try the Mosaic feature. Otherwise, you would need to use set ratios.
    Let me know if you have any other questions regarding this! Again, apologies for misunderstanding initially.

    Best,
    Hannah

    This is how I am creating the gallery:
    * New Block type: Advanced Gallery
    * Add from Media Library
    * Select some nice photos
    * Add Gallery
    * Under the Gallery Settings: Masonry (default)
    * Columns 3 (Default)
    * Gutter 10 (Default)
    * Thumbnail Size Large (default)
    * Link To: Media File
    * Link Image Size: Large
    * Link Triggers? Lightbox
    * Show Caption in Lightbox – ON
    * Caption Settings
    * Show Captions – ON
    * Caption Placement – Bottom of Image – Show on Hover
    * Force hover effect always for mobile – ON
    * Everything else is left at defaults.

    The page I am trying this on is nstreet.ca/jasper

    This works fine on some of my older posts that have the Masonry style: http://nstreet.synology.me/wordpress/my-home-page/2018-portugal/

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Guys:
    I noticed that my footer columns are all bunched together when viewing the site on a phone. There needs to be a space between each column when they stack on a phone. Couldn’t find the right selector to fix it with CSS. Could you? Here’s the site

    #254288

    but on my iphone 11 in landscape mode it’s not responsive

    Landscape mode is a key point you didn’t say before.

    1st should be noted that almost no one browsers the internet in landscape mode πŸ™‚

    However because of the size of screen of larger iPhones and because CSS calculates by screen size a large iPhone in landscape mode is supposed to show you the tablet layout (this is totally intentional because you have enough width for it and that provides a better user experience.

    I suggest if you want to have less columns in landscape mode that you set the tablet columns to something smaller.

    I hope that helps!

    I’ve just been upgradign a client’s site to the Kadence theme. Everything is going well apart from one small problem. One of his product categories contains about 30 sub-categories. This makes the resulting drop-down menu incredibly long!

    Previously, using the GeneratePress theme, it was a simple task to add some code to split the drop-down into two columns:

    #primary-menu li#menu-item-8776 > ul {
    display: grid;
    grid-template-columns: 50% 50%;
    }

    However when using this code with Kadence it doesn’t work. The sub menu appears as soon as any parent item is activated

    See here:

    In the above example, the sub-sub menu appears as soon as the Shop link is activated. It should only appear when the Renaissance entry is activated.

    Can I do something about this – or do you recommend another way of adding columns to sub-menus?

    Hi
    I have a weird misalignment in my footer. The footer is a 4 column type and there is only one widget item in each footer.
    The specific issue is the first 2 columns. The images are the same size identically yet the second column one inexplicably is out of line with the first.

    This is custom HTML but it’s a pretty basic bit of code and so I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. Looking on Chrome’s inspector I can’t see what CSS elements might even be causing the problem as it seems both have the same padding/margin.

    Please help πŸ™‚

    Thanks

    I’m using a 4 column layout with column 1 being full width with the other 3 columns below it.
    How can I increase the bottom margin of column 1 to help separate it’s content a little from the info in the rest of the footer area(s)?
