    That shortcode is for outputting in a grid, so it’s going to output in columns, you can set the columns to 1 but then it will use the list style of product output not a grid style.

    You are much better off just using a shortcode like this:

    [products columns="3" ids="2303,2310,2312"]

    Thanks Ben,

    On further questioning, it isn’t clear whether they wanted to:

    a. paste text into a page and have it automatically flow into columns or
    b. type into a new post and have it display in columns.

    I’ve demonstrated the use of Virtue column shortcodes and whilst they are nervous about editing pages, they get the idea.

    Thanks for your help, I’ll close this.
    Phil.

    I’m using WordPress 4.9.8, Kadence Blocks 1.1.5 – I used Row Layout, 3 evenly spaced columns. In each column I put a title, a photo, and a paragraph or two of text. I centered the titles and photos – which looks fine in editing mode, but when viewing the page the photos are left justified, not centered. This is on a password-protected prototyping site, so I can’t supply an easy URL for viewing.

    Can you post an example of what “always using columns” means to you? Thanks!

    Thanks Kevin,

    That’s a great summary for setting up a blog post.
    Is there a way to enforce that single blog posts of a particular category always put the text into columns?

    I can’t see how the theme would do it. Should I be looking at Ascend or Pinnacle?
    Or does it require php added into functions.php?
    Very many thanks,
    Phil.

    Hello,

    One option to control the appearance of that category page is to add it with shortcode rather than the default archive template.

    The shortcode should look something like this:
    [blog_grid orderby=date items=4 columns=3 cat=photos]

    For a full list of shortcode options, see here:
    http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/shortcodes/

    Let me know if that’s helpful!

    Hi team,

    A client has requested that a particular category of post always uses columns.
    Is there a way to enforce this for a category?

    Many thanks,
    Phil.

    Hello
    I’ve noticed 3 things I’d really like to answer to if possible.

    1) Is it possible to turn off ‘…read more’ links in post excepts, when I use shortcode to display them. Ideally I’d like to turn it off for a specific category, if this is possible? I used css to display:none which sort of works regardless of category but it leaves the …. I can’t seem to target this with css and see no option to turn it off. Any ideas on how I can do this please?

    2) When using shortcode for blog grids in Ascend premium is there any way you can select how many columns to display it in? I can’t see this anywhere and it always seems to always revert to 3 columns.

    3) I was using sitebuilder by origin and found it to be very buggy when inserting woocommerce short code. It would create an unwelcome border around the content and it wouldn’t display properly (over lapping content and going off screen). Since then I removed sitebuilder as I couldn’t debug it.

    Thank you
    Tom

    Hi Kevin,

    The portfolio post options are “beside”, “above” and “three rows”. I cannot seem to get PageBuilder to work with a full width page.

    If I choose “beside”, and add a row, the row width is only under the text — beside the featured image.

    If I choose “above”, I get a full size image before any text.

    I have also tried setting project options to none, columns to two, delete featured image, etc.

    Thanks!

    i use these shortcodes.

    Featured products – [carousel columns=”6″ items=”12″ type=”featured-products”]
    Best Products – [carousel columns=”6″ items=”12″ type=”best-products”]
    Sale Products – [carousel columns=”6″ items=”12″ type=”sale-products”]

    & Category Products – [carousel columns=”6″ items=”12″ cat=mobiles]

    featured are showing fine but for best and sale product please have a look – URL

    And category products not showing so i think there is any mistake in my shortcode.

    I have been going back and forth with the WooCommerce developers and support team because some of my products when outputted via the [products id=””] shortcode, there is an undefined value on the product which pushes it below other products…

    Example page:

    The developers at WooCommerce seem to think it is the THEME causing the “1x Undefined” to appear?

    ======================================

    The product listed on this page which appears correctly is on a product category page:

    ============================================================================
    The products listed on the following page are actually on a WordPress PAGE and is outputted by using the following shortcode:
    Page:
    shortcode:
    [products ids=”6952, 29127, 1988, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 14381, 14382, 23584 ” columns=”6″ orderby=”date”]
    I use a PAGE so that I can include a photo of an engine and reference the parts with arrows.

    Any help is appreciated…

    by grid how many columns are you wanting on mobile?

    #207913

    Hey Tom,
    I would suggest creating a three column row and making your center column the width that you’re wanting your content, then leaving the outside columns blank. Would that work for you?

    Hello. Is there a way I can have 3 columns for the product page so the price and product variations can be on the far right. So for example, on the left is the product image, the middle is the product description snippet and the far right is the add to cart / product variation options.

    Hey,
    There isn’t an option to select by ID but you can use the “featured product” which you can create a custom selection from your admin products page by clicking the start.

    There isn’t an option for 6 columns, using the widget, but you can use the shortcode:

    [carousel columns="6" items="12" type="featured-products"]

    Hey,
    This would require our woo extras plugin, see here: https://www.kadencewp.com/product/kadence-woo-extras/

    You can turn on both things through that.

    Else using standard woocommerce you can use some css like this:

    .woocommerce-product-gallery .flex-viewport {
        max-width: 80%;
        margin-right: 0;
        margin-left: auto;
    }
    .woocommerce-product-gallery .flex-control-thumbs {
        max-width: 20%;
        position: absolute;
        top: 0;
        left: 0;
        margin-top: 0;
    }
    .woocommerce-product-gallery.woocommerce-product-gallery--columns-5 .flex-control-thumbs li, .woocommerce-product-gallery .flex-control-thumbs li {
        float: none;
        width: 100%;
    }

    But it won’t have the vertical navigation option.

    Ben
