In forum: Pinnacle Theme
Hi,
This is probably simple, but I cannot find the solution on my own or in the forums. I had a call to action on my home page. I was making some changes and removed it. Then I decided I wanted it back and dragged it over to the “active” category. When I went to save I kept on getting the message “There was a problem with your action. Please try again or reload the page.” I did both of those several times. Even got out of Chrome and restarted my computer. No change. I cannot seem to get that call to action piece (or any others in the “inactive” category) over to active and save properly. Ideas?

Hey,
You can use the sidebar feature. You can create sidebars from Theme Options > Misc Settings then add content to them from Appearance > Widgets. You could use the custom menu widget for your case. Then on the edit page[s] you can select a sidebar template.
You can change the text/background/etc with css. What colors are you wanting? Could you post a link?Hannah

1. If you go to Appearance > Menus you should see a Portfolio Type tab on the left. If you don’t see this you may need to select it from the Screen Options tab on the top right of the page.2. a.) What exactly do you mean “types (not filters)”? They’re the same thing.

Again I have a few question, I’ve been searching for for hours.
1. When you’re in the shop, and try to go to another page of products the new content does not load, so you basically stay on the same page.2. Pictures who are made transparent has a dark gray background when you view the picture. Is it possible to get a white background instead?

I asked woocommerce support, but they said it was a theme related issue. Is there anywhere I can change the link?2. When the mouse hover over for example the product, the “add to cart” is shown as white. Also the image menu when the mouse hover over the images it is all white. But after you’ve lead the mouse to the bottom of the page and back, is is hovered as gray which is intended.
Again I hope somebody will help me with my issues.

1/ Menu > Portfolio type: I do not understand where I can choose to add portfolio type or Portfolio item in the menu, but I have not seen the Portfolio type. How can I add portfolio type in a menu ?
2/ On my homepage (*Login to see link ), I would like to add :
– a menu of my portfolio types (not filters) in a left column
– the last portfolio items (6-8 items) in a right column.
I have tried to use Theme option > Home Layout > Portfolio full, but I did not see how I can add 2 columns
I have tried to use Theme option > Home Layout > Page content, but in the homepage, when I have created a page with 2 columns, I can add a menu widget but I do not know where I can find a portfolio widget to keep the same layout than Portfolio full…Thanks for your help !

I have reset the whole theme start from scratch. Alot of things were missing back then. So ya.
I did what Ben has recommended – but now i am struggle to get the “Featured Products” on the homepage.
As I have at least 10 main product – with 10 different sizes under main product.
Struggling.

Just a question: Is the VIRTUE PREMIUM THEME compatible with the Virtual Composer, at least as far as you know? Or are there known issues? I think the VC is still better than the SiteOrigin Page Builder – albeit at some costs.

You can use this shortcode on your services page:[recent_products per_page="12" columns="4"]
Then as long as you have added both featured images and product gallery images and if you have Product Image Flip turned on in Theme Options > Shop Settings your product image should flip without problem.
There isn’t a built in option to have the words switch, unless you added the words onto the image via photoshop or something. There may also be a plugin that does that, but I’m not sure of one.

If I have created a page with kadence page builder in my Virtue-premium theme. Is it then possible to add individual HTML code to that same page.? eg. Below or between 2 pagebuilder rows.
For example, I want to add a colored line (height 50-70 px full-width).
Further I would like to apply a Read more text (in Dutch also Lees meer) include a link to another page.

thanks for the code it worked perfectly, by the way in a services page i want to use the New Product Image Flip option , where the user hover over the image of service ( will say bridal dressing) the image should flip and show the word “make appointment” some thing like that, if that is not possible only flipping image is fine , i m trying to figuerout the way to do it, can you please instruct me how to do that do i have to add a widget to the page or is their a short code. thank you in adavnce for your support.

Even if you just want to show the products I think you may be better off using actual product posts and not portfolio posts. Then you can still have prices if you like and the design and functions are all based on products unlike portfolio posts. You certainly don’t need to have the add to cart options. see here even for a catalog add-on for woocommerce: https://wordpress.org/plugins/yith-woocommerce-catalog-mode/
But of course you can use portfolio posts however you want as well. It’s just confusing if you don’t clarify what type of post it is since portfolio isn’t product.
In terms of add portfolio posts to your home page you can use the theme options > home layout.. there you can add the portfolio carousel or as a grid using portfolio full in the “home layout manager”. is that what you were looking for?
