In forum: Kadence ThemeHi,
I just read a similar post question regarding Virtue Theme which helped a little (July 2018) here: *Login to see link
Our banners (Kadence Slider) and Home Page images in most of our designs are prepared/cropped to a specific size before upload and displayed as Full Size, hence I suspect they are irrelevant to these generalised settings for the most part as they would not fit with the general WordPress cropping sizes used for common areas of the website.
We’re likely to commonly work with Kadence Theme Default Content Max-Width and Narrow Layout Max Width (1290 / 842) and pass on your recommendations of suggested image upload sizes (1600px x 1600px) to customers. So, for common areas in internal pages such as Blog images, in-page image uploads when working with Kadence Theme (pro) and common Kadence Blocks (post feed, posts, galleries, info boxes, etc), I was wondering if there would be a general rule-of-thumb (pardon the pun) for these settings nowadays?
I hope this question is not too general but WordPress Media Settings has always been ignored by us because in the past we created custom fields (with exact sizes) for large and small images everywhere, however we’re changing this practice now.
Thanks
In forum: Virtue ThemeThe page I am inserting is… https://www.ahyoudmd.com/office-info/ When show it it is okay. I also inserted the shortcode to insert the page on another page, [insert page=’office-info’ display=’content’] and it also did not display correctly but when I showed the page by it self it is okay.
This Style code is in the middle, not sure why it is present. With this included it breaks the section into 2 columns. This is not present when the page /office-info/ is displayed by itself and not included with insert page shortcode.

Sorry for the frustration, I completely understand. I have this working from what I can tell at this time and have added the following to your custom css.
@media (max-width: 992px) { header#kad-banner.banner.headerclass.kt-not-mobile-sticky.kt-mainnavsticky { position: fixed!important; width: 100%!important; z-index: 1000; top: 0px; } .contentclass { margin-top: 10px; } }Sorry about the delay there, but again, let me know if this doesn’t work for you. I can see it fully functioning as it should.
Thanks!

In forum: Kadence BlocksHi,
I have set my theme up with the following settings:
content max-width: 1290px (this is the width all common pages should be, although Home page is a little different)
page layout: normal / unboxedI am setting a row layout block on Home page (where most rows should be 1920) as the following:
alignment: full-width
max-width: 1920pxBut the row layout block (s) appear with a margin each side unless I take the max-width off them, in which case they will go beyond my max of 1920px – I’ve checked all row margins/padding to ensure they either have no entry or 0 but to no avail
Please see attached image
Thanks

Hi Hannah,
The majority of content and pages on the site will sit within the width we have set in: “Content Max Width” (1290px).
However as with all our sites there’s various rows that we always set to something much larger, such as 1920px. This content is typically header, footer, page banners and various promo style rows (typically on home page but sometimes on other pages). However, a typical content/post page width would be 1290px.We set 1920px on these various pieces of content – header, footer, various promo style rows (typically on home page).
Am I doing this incorrectly?
Should I be setting the “Content Max Width” to 1920px and setting the “Narrow Layout Content Max Width” to 1290px and assigning this globally (if this is possible) to all our pages and posts, etc?If I did it this way, Id still need to set containment widths on various elements in the home page that are constrained to: 1290px
Hope this makes sense 😊

August 7, 2020 at 12:00 pm #254429Hey,
In this kind of scenario where you are not replacing something, it’s not done with css.You would need to create the banner using the “Kadence Slider” plugin. You can find that in your downloads.
Then in your post settings scroll down to the post options and there set the head content to “shortcode” and then in the shortcode area add the slider shortcode. This will place the slider above the title and sidebar and allow it to be fullwidth.
In your slider settings, you don’t have to add multiple slides you can just add one that shows fullwidth.

August 7, 2020 at 11:44 am #254425Hey John,
1. You can set this in your theme options > menu settings.
2. You can add this css.
#wrapper .kad-header-style-three #nav-main ul.sf-menu>li>a { padding: 0 5px 0 5px; } #wrapper .kad-header-style-three #nav-main ul.sf-menu>li>a.sf-with-ul { padding: 0 10px 0 5px; } .kt-showsub-indicator #wrapper ul.sf-menu>li.sf-dropdown>a:after { right: 10px; }3. No, it really shouldn’t show the desktop menu on tablet. For one there isn’t space for it. But for another, it’s not standard in a touch environment and it’s not as user friendly. However, if you wish to do this you can add this css:
@media ( min-width: 600px ) { #wrapper #kad-mobile-banner { display:none; } #wrapper .kad-header-style-three .kad-nav-three { display:none; } #wrapper #nav-main ul.sf-menu { display:block; } #wrapper #kad-banner { display:block; } #wrapper .kad-header-left { float: left; width: 40%; } #wrapper .kad-header-right { float: left; width: 60%; } }I really really really suggest you not do this ^.
4. In your appearance > menus there is “screen options” in the top right corner, enabled “link target”. Then under each menu item settings you can set the link to open in a new tab.
