Hey Daniel,
You should be able to change from the theme contact form to a contact form 7 form by switching the page template from “contact” to fullwidth.
Then, add the contact form 7 shortcode to the page, and you should see this form instead of the theme generated one.
does this work for you?

I’ve inserted a contact form and I want to get ride of the ‘captcha’ thing. (5+7=__)
Is there a code I can use to get rid of that? It’s very strange.
Thanks!

Hey Thomas,
As of now there isn’t a built-in option to output a contact form via shortcode. I recommend using a plugin like this- https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/
Hope it’s helpful!Hannah

I will use an application form with plugin <b>”Contact From 7″</b>
This is the code:
<p>Je naam<br />
[text* your-name] </p><b>Zalmfilet</b>
[text VCl 3/ placeholder “0”] x 8 euro voor bewoner/cliëntAs you can see I made the lenght of the placeholder 3 long for numbers 3/
But in the Kadence Theme the placeholder is much to long.
It isn’t restricted at all.Can you help me to made it shorter like it does in almost any theme.
Thanks a lot for helping meIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Top Bar Widgets Colour and co.
Hi Marius,
1. I don’t see a search bar in your topbar?2. You can use this css:
.topclass { border-bottom: 1px solid #eee; }3. I would suggest using contact form 7 for your contact form, then you can paste the contact form shortcode into a modal shortcode from the Virtue Shortcodes tab in a visual editor widget.
Hope that helps!

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeHello,
I am trying to set up a newsletter subscription link for my client on at least two of her webpages. She would like the Subscribe link on her homepage to display a form for subscribing to her newsletter. I pasted the shortcode for this form, created with MailChimp, into the Call to Action button link, but it did not work.
Please see *Login to see link for details. Clicking the Subscribe link displays a page not found, etc., error message.
On the Ministries page, I attempted to hyperlink “subscribe” text to the shortcode. That did not work. I pasted the shortcode into the page, and that displayed what I assume to be a working form. However, my client does not want the form to appear on the page. She instead wants the form to be accessed from a hyperlink.
Please see *Login to see link for details.
I also added a contact form, using the Contact 7 plug-in, to display a contact form with a dropdown menu for displaying service offerings. I was unsuccessful in implementing the dropdown menu, but know it can configured (I will revisit and try again), and plan to add newsletter subscription to menu options.
Please advise on how I can fix the first two problems.
thanks~
Pamela

Hi!
I’ve been encountering a strange problem while testing out my site’s Woocommerce payment options. I’ve set up a PayPal Sandbox account and have tried purchasing the same product several times. I’ve had success once, yet I made no adjustments to any settings, in order to make that happen. The problem arises when the product is in the shipping basket and this message is displayed: ‘There are no shipping methods available. Please check your address or contact us if you need any help.’ My shipping zones and classes must be set up correctly, otherwise I would not have been able to make that one successful test payment.
I would be very grateful if you could tell me of any similar issues you’ve heard of, or if you could offer any assistance.

Since contact form 7 is a really great plugin, I suggest just using it. It wont hinder your site at all, as it’s well developed and updated regularly. I believe that the contact form for ascend is intentionally limited since the plugin handles all of this so well.
Let me know if that works for you!
-KevinIn forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: KT Contact form
Hey,
If you want to add to your contact form, I suggest you use this plugin to create a custom contact form:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/This should let you customize the contact form to meet your needs.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: SiteOrigin Contact Form displays duplicate form
The settings in the site origin contact form are completely independent of the theme. You’ll have to configure the widget separately to have it work properly. If you’re looking for a more customizable contact form, I suggest using this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/This plugin is useful when diagnosing wordpress email issues to make sure that your site is sending them:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/check-email/I would also contact dreamhost to see if they have any input for you.

In forum: Membership ForumsHi team,
I am using the theme contact form widget, which is cool.
After the submission, I need the sender to be redirected to another page to keep conversion tracking.
Anyway I can do that with the theme contact form?
In contact form 7, it seems I can add a snippet, but do not know how to make it here.
I am using Ascend theme.
Thanks
