Hi Kevin, I’m having problems with the Contact 7 form on my site. It’s dropping out the name, appointment date and time, and phone number- when we receive the submissions forms. (Only showing the message and the email address.) Do you have any idea what’s going on?

Hello Jane,

In order to change the contact form, I suggest you do use Contact Form 7. Be aware though, that the forms made with the plugin are totally different then the one within the theme.

You will need to add the form to the page via shortcode, and contact form 7 will need to be active and installed as long as you’re using the form.

I’ve tried on 5 different devices and I can’t recreate. Ipads, iphones. 6, 6plus, 7, 7plus, safari and chrome. The only thing I consistently see if errors because you are using iframes which aren’t related to the contact form but you should seriously consider the effects of iframes.

conversion_async.js:2 Blocked a frame with origin "https://www.jacuzzi.com" from accessing a frame with origin "https://aquaparadiseca.com". Protocols, domains, and ports must match.

Are you using any kind of ad-blocker app?

You should be able to configure any type of form with it.

I have placed a contact form 7 box in a row module with text formatting and colored background. When I added new rows below, the text is all “strong” and I can’t turn it off even though I added: <div style=”clear: both;”></div> <div style=”clear: left;”></div> I need to end the formatting as it’s making all content beyond the form as bold. I’m pretty sure this is the problem as when I removed the contact form code – everything went back to normal.

Hi Justin,
There isn’t a way to change this within the theme’s contact form, but a plugin such as Contact Form 7 allows for the ability to change this message. https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/

I recently needed to make a shortcode for my custom needs, I created it and it works perfectly. However I experience a visual problem – for some reason it appears above the h3 in a widget, not inside it.

The contact form in question has an element that’s present for an ajax loader. If you add this CSS, you’ll see the alignment is fixed:

div.wpcf7 .ajax-loader {
    display: none;
}

The Submit Button on the form on the front page loads fine, but then it immediately “jumps” to the left a few pixels. This is only the case on some devices such as Laptops and PCs. Mobile looks and behaves fine.

ok, first thing I did is look in your error logs and see what’s happening. You have tons of recent errors from the plugin “Gravity Forms Material Design”

I know code so I just fixed the code that was broken in the plugin so it works and your home page loads fine. I suggest you not update that plugin until you know the developer has fixed their code. Or just remove it and not use it.

That cleaned up your errors and then I could see that your hitting resource limits. Which is no surprise when you are running 57 plugins…
Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 417792 bytes) in /home/szammit66/public_html/wp-includes/post-template.php on line 1816

You need to contact your host. Update your php version to 7.1 or at least 7.0 there is no reason to not be using it as it’s much faster.

Then you need to have them increase your max memory and max execution time. You can’t have a site with as much as yours does and only have access to such limited memory. As you can see from the error that needs to be updated.

Hi Kevin, Turns out there were multiple issues but it’s resolved and I couldn’t be happier. If I may, I’d like to recap the solution for anyone else who may encounter a similar situation in the future.

First, yes I did have my email in the Contact Form Email Recipient so I could check that off. I also used the Plugin you suggested and confirmed that my emails weren’t being sent successfully.

Did some Google searches, tried other plugins to set my WP emails via SMTP, etc. but still no joy. I should mention my web hosting is through GoDaddy, has been for 10 years and I’ve never regretted it. I’ve always had great customer service, when I needed to lean on them, so I reached out as a last ditch effort. Glad I did.

On the GoDaddy hosting side, I needed to access my MX Entry admin area and change a couple of settings. Sounds scary but was easy.

On the WP side, I then needed to deactivate 2 plugins that were conflicting with the Pinnacle Contact page template: Contact Form 7 and an email SMTP plugin (since I thought that was one of my issues).

That’s it – contact form works and I’m receiving emails from my site’s contact form and my clients are receiving theirs.

Lastly, I want to pass along that the GoDaddy tech support person I spoke with was extremely impressed by Kadence Themes’ overall customization settings, layout, etc., and specifically how simple and easy you made the contact form entry details. So kudos to you and the rest of the crew at KT!
