Hey,
Not with the theme contact from, but you can use a normal template and add a contact form using a shortcode with a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/

Ok 2 things…

1) I downloaded ContactForm7… But when I get into my Widgets I’m not seeing it show up on the left hand side to pull over into a sidebar

2) I want to customize it to not only have NAME, EMAIL, but also have under it I am Interested in: (check box) Windows, Siding, Patio Doors, Reducing Energy Bills
AND
What Time Of Day To COntact You: (Check box) Morning Evening

The contact forms I found seem to depend on the main language of the website and I added CONTACT FORM 7 and am translating the lines myself and installed that form in the french contact page while I kept the Clean and Simple Contact Form in english. Parts of the Contact Form did not appear in the strings translation for Polylang. I assume that this is normal.

The only thing left is to figure out how to add the captcha in both languages…

Have you checked your spam folder?
Here is a reply from Ben from a similar topic:

Are you using a custom SMTP plugin or is the mail running through the host server.

You can do a quick test. install a plugin like contact form 7. Add it to a test page and attempt to send yourself a message. If it’s not going through then your have an issue with the mail server and you need to use a custom SMTP plugin or get your host to set up the mail server correctly on your sever.

Thanks very much. I am using a ‘Site Origin Editor’ widget to place my Contact form 7 entry at bottom of page. I turned this to text view and added Google conversion tracker at bottom. This is correct?

Hey,
so you want basically a contact form with no message box. You can create custom forms using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/

In terms of the style you would just need to customize with css. If you’re not familiar with that set up the form from above and post a link I can help change the styling.

There isn’t a built-in option for this. What you could do is use a default template and add a sidebar to it then use a plugin like the following to add a contact form -https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/

Wish I could use Virtue contact form but it seemingly doesn’t allow for extra fields. Since I have Jetpack installed, I am trying their contact form. It’s easy to create and customize but doesn’t have a recaptcha feature. Jetpack supposedly says they connect the email process via Askimet. But as far as I know, clients would have to pay a monthly fee, which they don’t want to. I have it installed on WP but not activated.

I can’t tell if using Jetpack contact form automatically utilizes their Askimet connection. A mystery to me. Here is what Jetpack Contact Form helps say when create a contact form “By adding a contact form, your readers will be able to submit feedback to you. All feedback is automatically scanned for spam, and the legitimate feedback will be emailed to you.” This make me assume there is some kind of spam blocking going on or at least a way to identify the contact form submitted as legitimate??

PS Just found out that Jetpack contact form interferes with Contact Form 7 in some way. Maybe that is the issue.

PSS Just learned that this plugin works with Jetpack contact forms well supposedly; therefore no need for captcha or recaptcha. What do you think? https://wordpress.org/plugins/goodbye-captcha/

Yes, in the WP forum. No reply as yet. But it seems many are having problems with it now with the latest WP version update. The contact form 7 date picker plug in doesn’t seem to work very well with the latest WP version either. They set this add’l plug in out to fix the date field problem supposedly. And saw that the plug author’s latest update was 4 months ago.

Do you recommend another contact form plug in?

Hey,
The theme contact form is only a simple setup. There are not options for extra fields it’s just the template option “contact” in your page templates.

Have you tried contacting contact form 7 support?

Where do I find your contact page option? I am currently using Contact Form 7 but having validation and date field problems with different browsers, especially Firefox now with latest WP version update. Would like to try yours.

I had manage to create a box around the contact form which has a coloured background but am incapable of replicating it (for the french page).

I used SiteOrigin editor and added the following code in text form:

The Virtue Icon is not working within the “add new page”. The dropdown is not show so I cannot select Icon. I’ve tried Chrome, Fox and MS browsers.

I went and use Contact Form 7 but I wasnt able to get the remote address. I might revisit this problem another time, some day…
I will put this topic as resolved since it is not something I can do with Pinnacle, at least for now. Thanks for your time!
