Hello Ben,

I have been away from work on the website for some time.

I am still not decided on the final layout of my home page:

I used some code in Custom CSS Box to insert search widget and some text via visual editor.

I wonder if there is a way to add the search widget in the secondary menu to the right of my other menu items rather than the topbar.

Here is my CSS code, that I copied from others in the forum, so it may not be right:

1. Just updated Virtue to the latest version but nothing is changed always jerky on scrolling.

Hello,

In mobile mode, my contact form seems to move to the absolute left of the page.

I have reduced the width of the input fields , because they were running the full length of the screen and looking messy.

How can I make the form move to the center of the page instead? , so that the middle of the page can be seen?

1. Is there a way, for the form text size to increase on smaller devices?

I see that if a window is decreased on a desktop, the contact form size …is still readable and nice. But the same size on an ipad , shows the form really small and the text gets terribly small on a phone.

Is there a way with media queries to increase the text size proportionately, or maybe even for the form to be displayed below the picture? ( only for ipad portrait and lower sizes?

Hello,

On my contact us page, I am using a revolution slider- with contact form 7 as a widget in a layer above.
This all works fine, as long as the recaptcha tag is not inserted.
I did see the recaptcha appear once though, but now the whole slider disappears if the recaptcha tag is inserted in the form.
Any idea why that could be happening? ….
( Google has some code to be inserted in an html file and also at the base of the form… I haven’t really understood where that goes…. Maybe that could be the reason ) … I have only integrated the site key and the secret key at present.

Could you help me with this?

Hi Chuan An,
Contact Form 7 allows you to display the contact form via shortcode. So what you can do is use the Modal shortcode (from the Pinnacle Shortcodes tab in the visual editor) then paste the contact form shortcode into the content area of that modal. Does that work for you?

Hey,
You can use pagebuilder you don’t need to use the contact template. Just use pagebuilder add the visual editor widget for the map you can click “virtue shortcodes” and add it. Then you can use a plugin like this to add the contact form: https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/

Page http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/shop/ works really fast so now I have some hope, that I’ll be managed to fix speed on my site
I tested the site with only woocommerce plugin and got appropriate result. But what if I need not every those plugins but some?
I use no cache plugin but I hired a programmist and he set some settings on server that compress scripts. After that he said that I can remove all caching plugins and I did it. By the way after his work the site started to work faster and on google Insights figures rised from 40-45 to 70-83 on different pages.

Now on pingdom tools on “performance grade” tab
I have “Remove query strings from static resources” with 56 grade with following instructions:
Resources with a “?” in the URL are not cached by some proxy caching servers. Remove the query string and encode the parameters into the URL for the following resources:

Now I have only one idea – to remove plugins and change them by own script

Hello,

I updated through the update tab in the home menu. Just like I always do.
I did not clear that, but after checking it and getting rid of the plugin the problem is still here.

So it’s not a contact form thats designed to be added to. It’s just a simple form if your wanting to have a custom layout with custom fields I suggest using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/

I deactivated some of my plugins and they’re still showing the same, I am using the following plugins for this specific website:

-Askismet
-Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
-Contact Form 7
-Page Builder by SiteOrigin
-Slider Revolution
-WP Super Cache

I’m still having problems with the “feature d projects” area being squished on the main page (please refer to screenshot: http://snag.gy/3MXZq.jpg). Notice that the featured projects section is squished so I’m not sure how to fix that.

Please advise.

@ Ben: I tried Contact Form 7 but I was struggling a little bit on adding a contact number in my form. If I ever did add one, the space doesn’t look the same compared to the others. If I’m not mistaken it has to do with the HTML5 thingamajig which I’m not really that familiar yet. I don’t get their syntax. 🙁

@ Jasmine: Can you steps on how you did it? I don’t mind using the default contact form with Pinnacle premium, I just wanted to add a space for contact nos.

On this site… akrasprint.com, I’m having problems with the sidebar shrinking and looking bad on mobile. When I add the css @media (min-width: 992px) It fixes it, but then makes other css code not function properly. For example, in my woocommerce shop page, I have hidden the price for products, and when I add the @media (min-width: 992px) code the price will appear again when viewing the site in mobile version.

So essentially the @media (min-width: 992px) code fixes the sidebar mobile problem, but creates another problem with the pricing being shown on my store.
