I have created my contact form using plug in contact form 7
I am having trouble finding a way to customise the send button and a suitable plugin. How can i customise and where would I need to insert the custom code?

The item moves, but I can’t save the changes. There are 2 errors. But they were both the same, probably because I tried to save twice?

Hey,
I would suggest using a plugin for this. Like contact form 7. There isn’t a build in way to edit the themes contact form and it’s designed to be simple. But if you would like to edit the code you can look at it in the templates-contact.php file.Ben

I first tested early December 2015 the free version, then I bought the paid version January 4, 2016 , so I have the latest version .
Wordpress is also updated, I downloaded it in November 2015 .Here are the plugins used:

Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
Contact Form 7
Page Builder by SiteOrigin
SiteOrigin Widgets BundlePlugins are all up to date .
I do not like to send my mail passwords, can you already see with this information ?

Thank you, Ben. I was wondering if this was a false positive. I’m using Contact Form 7.
Are product reviews part and parcel of the testimonial form? I took this site over and not sure if that Testimonial thing is even being used. There are tons of product reviews, but nothing showing up at all when I click on Testimonials from the left side of the dashboard.
The plugin showing the risk is VaultPress.

So the issue I see is that your server it timing out. It’s not directly related to contact form7. If you deactivate page builder for example the site shows. Your issue is with the servers php settings. You need to contact your host and get your max memory increased.Ben

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeWe have been running the Pinnacle theme with Contact form 7 for a few months since go-live. Today, we noticed our client’s homepage was blank for no reason. We deactivated all plugins and updated the theme and its bundled plugins and then started to reenable each plugin we had. Everytime we activated Contact form 7 (latest version in WordPress plugin repository), the homepage will be blank except for the header and logo. We realize this is a 3rd party plugin but can you provide some assistance what’s causing this? We do not have this issue on our other sites running Contact Form 7.
Pinnacle version currently running: 1.5.5

Hi Ben,
Thanks for responding so quickly.I would like to change the size of the input field for a simple math quiz. The current text box size is very large and it looks strange. I’ve tried setting up the form using the syntax suggested by Contact Form 7 docs, but it doesn’t seem to work. Ex. [quiz math-quiz 10/20 “5+3= |8”] where 10/20 are the field size and max length. My active plugins are : Askimet, Contact Form 7, Kadence Slider, Limit Login Attempts, Page Builder,Photo Book Gallery, Really Simple CAPTCHA, Revolution Slider, Snow Storm, Under Construction, UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore.
When I choose plain in permalings settings, I can’t see any difference.

It’s possible a bot is working out the simple math in the forum there are some out there that can. I haven’t had that happen to me yet but it’s not full captcha and even that can be beat by some bots.What are you wanting to change with the field sizes? in contact form 7. I can help with that if you post a link.

In forum: Virtue ThemeA few weeks ago I started receiving spam from the built in contact form. I’m not receiving a lot (maybe 1 or 2 a day), so I don’t know if it is an actual person sending the weird messages (just a bunch of URL’s) or if the math captcha isn’t working. I’ve tried using the Contact Form 7 plugin, and it works well, but I’m unable to change the field sizes as described in their documentation and looks awful. It was suggested that there is something in the theme that isn’t allowing Contact Form 7’s fields to be resized. Any thoughts?

Hey,
Contact form 7 uses a shortcode so you can just add the shortcode into any page. You can use pagebuilder to create the columns for example if you would like text next to the form.You can turn the theme form off by choosing that option in the page, while your editing it there are page options just for the contact page template.

You would need to use a child theme if you wanted to do this through the themes contact form. You can use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/ which has some more options for customizing without having to do any thing with code.Ben

The theme’s contact form is set up to be pretty simple. Rather than editing the theme files to add custom fields I would recommend using Contact Form 7- https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/
