Hey,
It’s actually a lot more then adding a line to a template. Making extra field work require that you properly secure then add it to the email output. In general using a plugin that is built for this is much easier for people then managing a custom contact form. Since it would also require that you make a child theme and become responsible to update a template. contact form 7 is a good plugin built for adding extra loops and it’s free.If there is some styling your having a hard time with we would be happy to help.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeHi Christian,
I think your best bet here is to use a plugin rather then editing the contact form. We love Contact Form 7( https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/ )
Hope it works for you!Hannah

I am using Google Chrome. And you are right, it isnt happening when I opened the page using Firefox.
The dropdowns in the Contact Form 7 is still having the white block visible, though the border problem is resolved. Please look into that. The contact form is accessible when you click in the “Get A Quote” button above the footer and on the Contact us page.
Can the colors of the down arrows in the drop down boxes be changed also? the arrow isn’t at all visible in the drop down box of the Contact form.
In forum: Virtue ThemeDear Ben,
Sorry to bother you again, but there are a couple of style issues that I am finding impossible to solve by myself. Hope you wont mind helping me with a couple of more things.
1. Someone posted a product review, and then I noticed some inconsistencies. Scroll down to the product review tab in this page.
a. I want to change the reviewer name-date font to #e8e8e8. Currently its grey on grey and difficult to read.
b. remove the border around the review
c. remove the profile pic (avatar) of the reviewer and left align the review.2. The select2select dropdown boxes in the page footer and Contact form 7 forms are showing empty white blocks when clicked. See this picture:
I had used the following code to style the background of the dropdown. How can I remove this white space and make the thick white borders narrower?.select2-drop .select2-results li {
border: 1px solid #e8e8e8;
background:#252525;
color: #e8e8e8;
}How can I remove this white space and make the thick white borders around the dropdown narrower?

June 30, 2015 at 2:44 pm #47484Hey,
1. The contact template does’t use contact form 7. If you would like to use contact form 7 don’t enabled the theme contact form and just add your shortcode to the page.2. You configure the email address for the contact form in your theme options > misc settings.

June 30, 2015 at 2:40 pm #47483Hi,
I created a contact us page with ‘Add page’ / template contact. I also used the option “Use Contact Form” to yes. The problem is that I am unable to receive the email. I beleive the contact form uses the contact form 7 plugin. I was testing sending sample messages to myself and didn’t receive any. All the emails end up in my default email account with subject “Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender”. The funny thing is that the failed message shows that the email was being sent to [email protected] and thats why it failed (while i have configured my gmail / mydomain email account in plugin settings). Now my question is
1. When we use the contact form 7 in contact us page , do we need to put the short-code of the contact form 7’s form created, any where in our page ? (like [contact-form-7 id=”113″ title=”ContactUs”])
2. Where is this [email protected] configured. I tried everywhere but couldn’t locate anything.

Hey,
There isn’t a built in option for this. You’re probably better off using the contact form 7 plugin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/Hannah

Hannah,
a. I tested out the CSS you have sent. 1 and 4 are resolved.
In 2, I am not seeing any change. The border isn’t appearing. This is what I need
. In 3, somehow the drop-down box in the form created using the Contact form 7 plugin didn’t get the background color. Also, is it possible to change the color of the cross (x) on the top-right and the close button in the bottom-right of the modal?
b. Also, is it anyway possible to change the style (background, title and font colors) of the Facebook Like Box and Twitter Timeline Widgets using CSS?
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi, Ben,
Need help regarding a few more things.
1. My individual product pages have nice borders under the section headings like “Related Products”. Can I add similar borders under:
a. “Similar posts” and “Leave a reply” headings in blog page
b. “similar projects” and “Leave a reply” in Portfolio item pages2. In the Third column of the footer, the Archives and Category widgets have been placed. Is it possible to add borders around the dropdowns to make them more prominent?
3. I am planning to implement the Contact Form 7 plugin and a testimonial form, both using the modal shortcode in Visual Editor. But a test implementations on this page are showing white text on white backgrounds. Is it possible to style both the forms like the form in my Contact Us page for better visibility?
4. Please remove the blog post excerpts from the custom tabs (created using Blog Posts shortcodes in visual editor) in the individual product pages.

In forum: Virtue ThemeJune 26, 2015 at 10:35 am #47053Are you using a plugin like easy SMTP to set an email server for your site?
You will likely need to use contact form 7 plugin for the contact form. Then in the email header options add a reply to address.

Hi all,has your footer copyright display disappeared. The issue is the Google Badge I placed on my homepage.
Not only does it affect the Hompage but it also crashed the Contact Form7 Plugin as well as affecting the slide banner.
Customers where unable to see my slide banner but as I was logged in as admin I did not see this.I found a solution by making the Google Plus Badge just a picture simply by- print screen-paste into Paint-crop Google Badge logo,save as picture JPEG.
I then loaded the picture on the homepage as an Image using Image Widget and then linked the Image back to my Google Plus Page.
Now when customers click the Google badge picture it just links back to my google.
Hopefully this can be fixed with an update from Kadence Themes.
The Google Website Badge certainly has the ability to create Havoc and break plugins. I am sure there where more crashes caused by the Google Badge such as my shipping Plugin.In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben,Yes you are correct,the issue is the Google Badge I placed on my homepage.

My site is almost done, but when I try to save my contact email address in the “Theme Options” > “Misc Settings” > “Contact Form Email”, I get the popup “There was a problem with your action. Please try again or reload the page”. What do you recommend? Th contact page does work when I use the Contact Form 7 plugin.
