You want to use the widget: “virtue: social links” or “virtue: contact/vcard”.
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeClient would currently like to have their phone number appear in a larger font with a telephone icon in the main header. They have seen this style on many corporate themes with the number on the right hand side. Do you have and code to do this or can you point me to the area of your code where I could insert it?
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: icon hover color
Hi there!
last night my personal site crushed and when i contacted justhost they said that it could be because the theme does not support jetpack (?). i had the lite one on it, but as i am a trier, i re-install wordpress and jetpack & installed the premium. all is working perfect but when i tried to change the icon hover color to #ff6666 as used to be on the lite version, the comands isnt working on css and kept the dark blue defalt. I have tried the same code i used b4 : .home-iconmenu a:hover {background: #ff6666;} /*background on hover color*/
and tried as well a few codes i found on open sources as follow and a few similar ones but anything is working….
.home-iconmenu a i {color:#444;} /*icon color*/
.home-iconmenu a h4 {color:#444;} /*text color*/
.home-iconmenu a {background: #bbb;} /*background color*/
.home-iconmenu a:hover {background: #dddddd;} /*background on hover color*/as i changed to premium to try to sort the ”crush” that was having on the pages, should i use a different code? or maybe should i set something different (remembering that i have reinstall every single thing….)?
thank you.

June 13, 2014 at 10:57 am #10622Yeah thats really slow server. When it failed did it give any error. It could be your php max memory or max execution time settings. I would contact godaddy though.
Have you tried uploading from the wordpress admin by clicking “add new theme”.
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Broke Theme When Updating – Site Down
Just FYI, I attempted the update again this morning and it failed again (I did increase my upload limit, just in case). Via FTP I deleted all the theme files that were in the virtue folder, then uploaded the new 2.4.1 files, and everything seems fine.
The files did take forever to upload, about 45 minutes for 15.8 mb which seems absurd. Maybe this super slowness of the server is related to why the update failed via the wp admin as well? If the same thing happens on the next update maybe my next step would be to contact Godaddy. Updates always went smoothly before.

June 11, 2014 at 10:47 am #10432I don’t understand the first question but it looks like your issue with icons would be caused because you have www. showing for the page but not for the resources on your site.
For example the page you linked to has http://www.mobilexgrup.ro/contact/
but all the resources on the page don’t: http://mobilexgrup.ro/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/assets/css/fonts/virtue_icons.woff?mm79d2You need to update your database so that they all have the same address. else IE and firefox will have issues with your icons.
If you don’t know where to update then I suggest contacting your hosting provider.

June 9, 2014 at 9:59 am #10314You can test and add css in the theme options > advanced settings. There should already be styling for contact forum 7.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Child Theme How to?
Hi Ben,
Many thanks, So updates should not effect the site. Thats good to know, but I will do a backup when its finished!
I know the basics of HTML and how to change the things I want in CSS, I was just looking for a quick way to style the sidebar to match the sites main CSS. I have Contact Form 7 on a page, and at the moment, RSS feed, and Links (blogroll feed) in a sidebar. May add twit feed etc later.
I looked at some of the links text in the blogroll, using firefox, as far as I could tell, it was reading H4 from the CSS, but it does not render as such.
Anyway, I will do some research and plow on.
Thanks,
Graeme.

This sounds like your server php settings have a really low max upload size? Or max php memory? I would recommend contacting your hosting provider to try and see if they can increase those for you.
Else right now you can upload the theme via FTP by using a ftp client. There are lots of tutorials about this on the web, here is an example:

In forum: Virtue ThemeJune 6, 2014 at 8:35 pm #10201The “read more” link on the latest blog posts on the homepage are linking to the wrong page (the contact page). I deleted all the pages in the menu and re-made them and still got the same result. Any ideas on how I can correct the link?

June 5, 2014 at 2:32 pm #10123Hey,
Setting up a SMTP plugin depends on which mail server your going to use. For example if you want to use a gmail mail server that is different then if you want to use a local mail server. The plugins all have tutorials for the gmail server but if you want to use a local email server then you will need to consult your hosting provider for help.Scott – what do you mean “send to” a yahoo or gmail? the purpose of SMTP is to set up the “send from”
When you were testing with contact form had you added an email in the theme options?Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Contact Form Issue
I’ve done just about everything I can think of and cannot get the contact form to send out emails. If I hit the test it will send to a yahoo account but not to a gmail one. I’ve added the plug in as mentioned above and cannot get it to work. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks,
scottIn forum: Virtue ThemeI receive another height of map in Virtue: Google map widget. In this case instead the same height i have different in IE, Chrome and Firefox. In my case i have 2 columns in footer and after google widget in 1-st. column i have next text phone widget. In 2-nd. column i have contact widget and next social widget. In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Contact Form Issue
Hello!
So I have a contact form set up with one of the websites I have built with your theme, which I love. I have the email typed in correctly within the Theme Options > Misc Settings > and Contact Form Email. But when I test it out by sending an email no email goes through to the hotmail account where it should go to. I’m not sure what could be wrong, I am using a Child Theme but have only done minor color and font edits through this. The only plug-in installed is the Virtue Theme Options.
Thank You!

June 4, 2014 at 6:15 pm #10057You can add just a title (it’s right in the contact page meta boxes), If you need more customization then you will want to use a plugin like contact form 7 and you can add that contact form anywhere.

June 4, 2014 at 12:02 pm #10034Well the first issue has to do with you php settings. You need to increase you php max memory which can be done by contacting your host or by adding a line of code to your wp-config.php file. http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
I would increase to 96mb or higher.
The second issue has to do with site optimization. and for that I recommend using w3 total cache. Which is a plugin that will greatly increase the speed of your site.
You can see a bit of a comparison by looking at the results here: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/cFsnyX/http://bsame.net/
and this is the demo site (which has woocommerce installed) http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/cR1A7t/http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium-3/
The for the best settings for w3 total cache you will need to talk with your hosting company.
