I can’t figure out why the menu of my site doesn’t show on iPad and also why it disappears when I reduce the width of the window on my laptop.
What am I doing wrong?

December 31, 2015 at 12:01 am #73502Hey Ben,
thanks for the workaround.
It does work, but it isn’t really suitable for my purposes. I have very limited control with how the images are displayed on the page, so it would be very difficult to manipulate it on a dynamic bases.
I did some more troubleshooting.
Tried on a iPad that didn’t work either.
I then tried other widgets that automatically add images from the gallery (like Pinnacle: Carousel, Recent Posts, and Blogs) and they all work as expected.
However, when i tried to use the Pinnacle:Image widget (which asks you to select an image before i gets added to the page), i ran into the exact same problem: the buttons do not respond to my clicks.
To clarify, all other aspects of the Pinnacle Gallery and Pinnacle Image work, i can rename the widget and change other characteristics and they do take immediate effect.
The problem seems to specifically be that the Pinnacle widget buttons relating to the Media Gallery do not respond when clicked upon. Only thing i could possibly think of would be some pop-up blocker settings. Or some weird issue with my gallery not obvious to me
I know this is difficult for you to properly troubleshoot, since the problem is related to my devices somehow. I’ll try to find a suitable 3rd party widget for this case, as this feature is pretty important for my page.
But hopefully my description can provide you more insight on what the problem could be.
Many thanks

December 30, 2015 at 5:14 pm #73483Hmm, so parallax isn’t supported in mobile browser because of background fixed. mobiles don’t support that. It should auto switch from parallax to background cover for the ipad pro. Try adding this css:
@media only screen and (min-device-width : 1024px) and (max-device-width : 1366px) { .panel-row-style-wide-parallax, .kt-panel-row-parallax, .kt-panel-row-parallax-stellar { background-attachment: scroll!important; background-position: center!important; } }Ben
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeHi. I’m having a problem with the Responsive effect of the Pinnacle theme for parallax background images when viewing on the Ipad Pro: the resizing is confused with what the width dimensions should be and appears super-zoomed in. The problem is consistent on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Dolphin for my website, so I’m thinking that the resolution of the Ipad Pro is not recognized or something to that effect. Maybe the theme thinks the Ipad Pro is a laptop?
Example of parallax background image effects:

Hello and Happy Holidays,
I’ve been testing the responsiveness with screenfly.com. My site looks great on mobile phones and any tablet with with 800 or greater. iPads with 768 look not so good. Any way to fix this? http://www.kamsonmedia.com
Thank you!
LizIn forum: Pinnacle ThemeHello,
We’re currently making a website ( http://www.cfultimatum.com ) and we have some problems with the menu on iPhone 6+ and iPad, The mobile menu doesn’t show up. But it does show up on a Samsung Note 4. Also, We use Slider Revolution and it doesn’t show up on iPhone and iPhone as well. Any solution for that? Thank you
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Mobile issues
1. Ipad:
a) Menu bar cannot be seen in landscape or portrait mode.
B) In portrait mode, on the homepage, the 4 menu pictures – can we have two pictures side by side to one another? The single menu picture below the revolution slider looks bigger than the revolution slider; so it doesn’t seem proportionate to look at. In landscape mode, its all fine.2. Iphone:
a) In portarit and landscape mode, on the homepage; similar as above; two menu pictures to be placed side by side next to each other, below the revolution slider; to make it look more proportionate to the revolution slider. In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: 3 columns in content area
Ben, thanks for your reply. And thanks much for offering the options!
I am using a Child theme. I have only CSS file uploaded there. Ben, I’d rather have a page template I think. This design is going to be across the whole web-site. Here is a link to a screenshot with drawn lines: http://forestharp.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Screen_Shot_2015-12-28_at_11_08_02.png So these side bars A & B should have a different png. file repeated as background. No text there in A & B, no menus. And I would need to draw a border instead of those red lines (I’ll figure how to do if it’s a div/container solution, but probably not if it’s some other kind of solution). As for mobile, till iPad size A & B remain, on iPhone size they disappear, if possible..Not sure if that’s what you meant by your question. Hope you’ll be able to add this as a Theme feature in future.
Thank you very much for looking into this!

Ben, Starting to work on translation, it started something strange with the top bar menu.
See the link here http://www.gaspard.be/www/index.php/language/fr/menu/ for printscreen.
Explainations: when I use an iPad to check mobile behavior, by clicking on anchor link from menu (EN – Our achievements – Our sunscreens), the Menu appears like on the printscreen. It seems to be linked to the Script you gave me on previous topic: “Scroll issue and Mobile Menu does not collapse #70891”
When I remove the script which forces a collapse for Mobile menu, it is OK. But of course the standard menu does not collapse.Thank you in advance.

I have tried to have created slide shows in virtue using a plug in Gallary Ht. if viewed on mac/ iPad or iphone all is fine> If viewed on any device which is Microsoft operating systems the slides shows are static, Any virtue specific for macs only?
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Icon Menu Equal Height
Hey,
I am wondering how to keep my icon menus all the same height. I tried min-height but then on an iPad they were different lengths. I tried max-height but then the text would display outside the box. I assume I need to set a fixed height and then adjust the font size to fit inside the box, but I’m not sure how to accomplish that. Hope you can help! 🙂

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Scroll issue and Mobile Menu does not collapse
Ben,
– About the home anchor: a try: I’ve inserted a text widget top of home page and inside the widget used 2 short codes, one for the anchor from “Page Scroll to id” and added into the Menu-Custom link the relationship param as explained, and another short code for the slider inside the text widget. Total 5 anchors, the Top home worked but did not scrolled smoothly, but just like a full page reload, and it did not went really at the top of the page, which is normal. So because of this, I came back to standard using the Theme Slider setting to reapply the Slider, and then not use any shortcode as described just above.
– I know by default there is an anchor ‘#top’ used by your template with the bottom right arrow on all template pages. And with this built in, it scrolls smoothly also. Currently, the Home link uses the #top anchor.
So my question is: can I reuse the same configuration as the arrow for my Home link in my Menu?
Or may be you have a good alternative?– About the script, it works well on my iPhone, and my iPad Air 2 but only in portrait. I changed the size limit by 2100 to make it running in landscape (as iPad Air2 screen width is about 2048 pixels), but no chance, it does not work. You may be have an alternative?
for info, the site is http://www.gaspard.be/www/
Thank you for your help.
PhilippeIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: How can I disable the responsiveness of the site?
1. That is working for the iPad now, thanks! But how can I move the menu under the header sooner? If you reduce the size of the window, the first thing that happens is the menu becomes two lines…. I want to avoid that.
3. That reduced the text, thanks! How do I also reduce the height of the highlight behind it?
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Help with featured items/products
That certainly has fixed the sizing issue – great!
Of course, on an iPad tapping will just activate the link, and the roll-over text won’t be of much use I guess.
What I’m seeing as far as the responsive part goes is that as the screen shrinks, it goes from 3 columns to two to one, but without scaling the inages in between. That means on the iPad you see just 2 columns of full-size images rather than 3 columns of reduced-size images, which would be preferable of course.
It’s only when you reduce the browser width to below about 350px that the singlke column of images start to scale. I was hoping it would respond more like a 3 column gallery layout does. Any thoughts on that?
I appreciate your help.
ColinIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Help with featured items/products
Hi Ben – yes, I bought that plug in as it seemed to offer the closest thing I could find to the sample, and I was delighted when it worked. However I then discovered that it didn’t respond properly, causing the images to stretch out of shape on mobile and iPad – something I have yet to try and resolve.
I’d be delighted if you has a CSS solution I can understand! I initially thought I’d get away with adding the Virtue Gallery as it offers the pop up description, but I need custom links from the images and an initial caption as per that sample. I’d be grateful of any help as I’m only just starting to use WordPress/Themes to replace my HTML/CSS/Dreamweaver style fixed size sites and finding it a bit confusing! In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Move primary-menu cart to header widget
Hi again!
Thanks for all you´re help. Your support is fantastic.
I´ve managed to get both the cart and the search-widget to be placed as I want except for a few pixel-widhts around 1000 px. That´s when the logo shrimps, then the cart jumps up a few pixels. How do I fix that? That also happens when I view the site on my Ipad in the horizontal mode.
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Help With Mobile Layout
Hello,
I apologize if this issue is addressed in other posts, so if I have just been lazy in my researching please just point me in the right direction. This theme is wonderful, and any deficiencies are surely due to my inexperience with web development. Basically the problem is that the website created on my computer does not correctly display on mobile devices (iPad landscape view comes closest, which leads me to believe it is a display size issue). Admittedly I have added a number of css alterations, and am pretty confident that is what’s causing the problem (whether it be improper syntax, values, element calling, or anything else…). I am using a child theme and would be happy to provide the css, as well as any plugins used (though of the few activated, most were provided with virtue pro) or anything else you think would be interfering/helpful. Or maybe I just haven’t set up mobile properly in menu options. I am sorry for my ignorance and inexperience, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi Ben,
I thought all was going well, until I viewed my site on an iPad 2 and realised that the whole site shows in desktop version except the navigation bar which shows in mobile. Needless to say, the outcome is pretty unsightly ):

https://www.dropbox.com/s/tw8ik9uxoncxiqq/portfolio_ipad_landscape.jpg?dl=0As you can see from the images, everything is in desktop layout except the nav bar, which is in some awkward position. The home page slider is also not centralised for some reason. Is there some way to fix this? To have the nav bar show as the desktop one at least? Thanks so much for the quick response guys (:
