    Hi Hannah,

Thank you for the reply, unfortunately I do not have a screenshot because it was on a friends iPad, he isn’t available at this moment.

To answer your question, yes. I have only seen it happen (not working) on aan iPad within both Chrome and Safari. You can select ‘touch and select’ it, the button also changes color based on the settings, but the mobile menu isn’t shown after.

    Hope that gives enough info.

    Hi Rémon,
Is this only happening on an iPad? Can you send a screenshot?

    Thanks,
    Hannah

    Hi,

I have two websites I’m working on from which the mobile menu drawer container doesn’t work on an iPad with iOS 10.3.3 (withing both Chrome and Safari).

    Websites:

Tried clearing cache, enabling dev mode in CloudFlare (on the webstudioremon domain), but the problem stays. On android it’s working. Cannot test on iOS phones or later iOS/iPadOS versions.

    Maybe a bug?

    #255904

Cleared everything, tested again on latest ipad air and iPhone 11 chrome incognito, same thing.
Oh well, if you can’t replicate lets close this, maybe there is something specific in my setup causing this. lets wait to see if others will report

Would it be possible to unify how the form fields look on different devices?
Currently, on iPad and iPhone form fields have some shadows that doesn’t look as nice as on android.

    Thanks!

Hey there, scroll to top works perfectly on windows and android, but I’m having issues on iPad and iPhone (both safari and chrome) – it takes a couple of taps on the button, and then it just jumps to top without smooth scrolling.

Is this is a kadence bug?
    Thanks!

    #254472

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for these tips. I was able to do #1, #2, and #4. I won’t put the desktop menu on ipads, as you don’t recommend that.

About the special css for #2, I noticed that there is similar special css already in my Advanced Settings. I hope that this various css is not interfering with each other, please take a look.

I increased the size of the Primary Menu font to 22, because I want it to be a bit bigger and more visible. I’m not very happy with the rounded Lato font there, which is good for text but not great as the Primary menu font. I was thinking about a font in all caps, but don’t know how to set the font to all caps, that is not an option in Theme Options>Menu Settings.

Also, there is still one spacing issue.

Between approximately 1000px and 1100px, one menu item jumps to a second line. When this happens, it interferes with the Virtual Gallery at the top of each page, and creates other problems. I really need the Primary menu to just stay on one line. Below 1000px, the menu font size decreases appropriately, so that all menu text reverts back to one line as it should. Is there a way that we can guarantee that the primary menu items always stay on one line, by either scrunching them closer together or decreasing their font size automatically? As someone’s device screen increases in size, both the font size and the padding between items should gradually increase at a proportionate rate in order to be aesthetically pleasing. For example, at screen size 1200px, the font should be 22px with a spacing of say, 15px padding between items. When the screen size decreases, these numbers gradually go down. Padding of less than 10px between menu items makes them look too bunched together.

    Thanks, John

    Topic: Primary Menu

    #254405

    Hi Hannah,

I have some questions about the primary menu for http://www.johngrahamtours.com

    1. How can I change the font and size of font?

    2. How can I change the spacing between each item in the menu? Can I require all items to scrunch together on one line? Currently, some menu items are shifting onto a second line when the browser window is 1000px or bigger. But when it is 800px-1000px, the menu items are all on one line as I want them. Very strange.

    3. How can I control when this Primary Menu disappears when decreasing device size? Specifically, I would like the primary to be visible on ipad or maybe even large mobiles, but to revert to a full drop-down menu on smaller iphones. Currently, the primary menu disappears at about 1000 px wide and lower. Shouldn’t this threshold be around 600px?

    4. How can I get menu items to open a new page when clicked? For example, from the menu page called Reviews>Tripadvisor Reviews, I would like clicks to send visitors to a new server window, so that my page stays open.

    Thanks, John

There is a tiny bug, probably z-index related that the “To top” icon button is behind the product image when scrolling. I noticed this on our website when scrolling with an Ipad. But it is also visible on

So you can reproduce there and I’ll wait for a fix with an upcoming version as it is really just a little visual bug.

Change to a width of 1024px to see the bug.

    Here’s a screenshot:

Edit: Bottom right in the image.

    Hi.

I have set up a gallery with 2 images across the page. This works fine on iPad and desktop but changes to a single image on mobile. Is it possible to keep the two images across in mobile too?

    Thanks

    Hi there…

Please can you watch video at:

    problem page:

the [woocommerce_my_account] causes the my-account page to freeze and be unresponsive on mobiles AND iPads… Latest editions.

    On desktops it runs great.

I’ve tried disabling all plugins and also removed and refreshed cache plugin.. Nothing helps.

Please can you let me know what the issue might be?

    Sorry Hannah.

I was working on my iPad and I’m not sure why but I couldn’t access my account info.

On desktop and all is well.

    Ben / Hannah

    Thanks for the solution.
I changed the Background Image radio button from none to select image and reloaded them.
I did wonder what is the default radio button state when a new slider is built.

Everything is good when tested on real world devices, Tablet – iPad, Cell – iPhone 8.

    Hello

In my site I have followed the Ascend “Hoodie” home page design. By choice I set the Site Layout Max-Width to 940px with a header slider of 7 images (940px – 313px) above the 3 Image Menu Item widgets. The Shop / Cart / Checkout pages all work well with my 30+ test products covering 7 category/sub-categories. I am very happy with the PC layout.

Looking at the site on an iPad or iPhone the site functions correctly – BUT:

In the transition from the PC view -> Tablet View -> Cell Phone View, the white space padding below the slider increases to about 6 times the the PC spacing, for the Cell Phone view. The 7 slide “dot” link/indicators move progressively from within the slider images to well into the white space padding as the PC-> Tablet -> Cell transition.

    How do I fix this?
    Thanks, Rob

What CSS do I need to add to get primary menu items closer together? I’m trying to prevent wrapping on an iPad Pro.

    #241616

    Hey,
That screen shot has to do with your column settings. You have, for example you have set the max width to 60% and then added a 4 column section in the middle of that. There is simply not enough space for the items to align horizontally in those columns.

With a Ipad pro and using the core columns block the layout is going to be in desktop mode.

Instead of the core columns block use the row layout and you can control the tablet layout.

this was from one of my testers –
iPad Pro 10.5 inch version 13.2.3
and she sent the attached screenshot showing the dates as aligning vertically, rather than horizontally.

    ipad-screenshot

On the Kindle Fire it looked okay, and opened the modal, but when the modal window was closed it took you back to the home page of the website instead of the WILLA page. Not that big of a deal as I realize that Kindles are a unique beast.

    #241607

Hmm I just tested on an Ipad and didn’t see any error while opening the modals in the WILLA Award Winners and Finalists section.

What version of IPad and what IOS version are you using?
